Deceased Hailey Dunn 13 Missing Since Dec. 27th, 2010

SNYDER, Texas -- Search warrant affidavits acquired by KTXS through the Freedom of Information Act show the warrant used by law enforcement in Scurry County Thursday night was used to look for more child pornography.

The affidavit also mentions that pornographic images were found on Adkins' cell phone, and in the computer of Renee N. in Dunn, Texas. This same home was where investigators served the warrant Thursday and took electronic devices. Another resident of that home told authorities that Shawn Adkins used their computer "all the time".


The warrant also mentions that 2 Kodak Easy Share cameras were in the home, and that pornographic images found on Adkins' phone were taken on a Kodak Easy Share camera
 
Billie Dunn, whose 13-year-old daughter has been missing since last December, says she has a protective order against Shawn Adkins, her former live-in boyfriend and the only named suspect in Hailey Dunn's disappearance.

Billie Dunn called KTAB reporter Priscilla Luong to inform her of the protective order, saying she had forgotten to mention it in the news conference she gave this afternoon.

The protective order was filed as a direct result of what happened last night, Dunn told Luong. The filing cannot be confirmed at this time because the courts are closed.

Dunn admitted to lying to police on Thursday night, but would not explain why. She said Adkins was at her house because he wanted to talk to her about something, but she didn't specify what.

According to Dunn, Adkins cannot come near property for a year under the protective order. She said she has no plans to see him again and will not rekindle a relationship with him in the future.

So if they took photos off an easy share camera, that means those aren't downloaded photos, but actual photos he took, right? Who are they??? I want to know!

SNYDER — Connie Ostrander, 49, mother of Billie Jean Dunn and grandmother of missing teenager Hailey Dunn, was arrested Friday on a drug charge.

Officials at the Scurry County sheriff's office said Ostrander was arrested by deputies around 2:15 p.m. on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, Penalty Group 1, and booked into the Scurry County Jail. Bond had not been set as of late Friday, but Ostrander was expected to appear before a magistrate before Sunday.

The exact nature and amount of the controlled substance Ostrander reportedly had in her possession was not released. Possession of less than 1 gram of a Penalty Group 1 drug is considered a state jail felony. According to the Texas Health and Safety Code, Penalty Group 1 includes a number of drugs, including many opiates and opium derivatives.

The affidavits stated that pornography has been found on a second computer that Adkins used – and on his personal cell phone.

The files containing the pornography had been deleted but were recovered by law enforcement experts in computer and digital forensics.

In the "slack space," or the area of the computer where items had been deleted, the FBI found images of child pornography and other obscene images including adult pornography, deviant sexual behavior and bestiality, according to the affidavit.

The affidavit details that pornographic images were found among deleted e-mail files on Adkins' cell phone and on a computer in the home of Renee Norwood, Adkins' grandmother.

Adkins lived with his grandmother in the community of Dunn, 14 miles north of Colorado City, after he was named a suspect in the Hailey Dunn disappearance in early January. At the time of Hailey's disappearance, Adkins was the live-in boyfriend of Billie Dunn, Hailey's mother.

Adkins' grandmother's home in southern Scurry County is the same home where investigators served the warrant Thursday and took electronic devices. Another resident of that home told authorities that Adkins used the computer "all the time," according to the affidavit.

The warrant also mentions that two Kodak Easy Share cameras were in the home, and that some of the pornographic images were taken or transmitted via a Kodak Easy Share camera. Investigators planned to seize the two cameras, among the many other devices, looking for more evidence.

Found this interesting.. Doesn't sound like she is done with him.. or worried about her daughter for that matter!

Although Dunn states she's not back together with her former live-in boyfriend, neighbors says they have seen Adkins frequently at the home.

"Last week, we've been seeing him there, and a friend of mine would pick me up for work and say he's out there smoking at 5' o clock in the morning," Dunn's neighbor, Isabel Gonzalez, said.

Gonzalez says she has seen Dunn laying out to tan in the backyard.

"I kept thinking, how can she be so calm, you know? I'd be wondering, is my baby ok? Or where is she? I'd be out there trying to find her, not worrying about whether I had a good tan or not."

It's just awful that the cops interrupted poor precious innocent angel Billie during her suntanning in the back yard just to ask her pesky questions about all the child porn, bestiality, drugs and her missing daughter! You know, the one who's been missing for THREE MONTHS! If one of my kids were missing, I'd be doing a lot of things, but chillin' in the backyard touching up my tan wouldn't even be on the radar.
She knows what happened, she knows where Hailey is and now she knows she's a done Dunn. Not a molecule of decency in her trashy body; if she thinks she can pull off a "poor me" defense, she's dumber than she looks...and that's scary.

Billie Dunn has a terminal case of Inability to Put Down The Penis. We've seen it here well over a hundred times. The difference is that Billie's disease is so intractable that even if Hailey were alive, she'd never be able to live a normal life with that woman for a mother.

Hailey is dead, most likely. She's underground one way or another. Occam's Razor applies. Child porn + 25 year old perv boyfriend + stoned, sex addicted mom + stoned dad who can't get his shit together enough to keep his kid safe + pretty little girl = raped and probably dead little girl. This is basic crime math.

What's freaky about this case is the force with which Billie Dunn shoves her daughter into the grave. Nothing's too good for Shawn, in Billie's eyes. Not even the life of her child. So while searchers look for Hailey, Billie gets a tan, lies to police about Shawn being in her home when they come to serve a body search warrant, lies about kiddie porn, lies about the timeline, lies about everything, and goes to jail. When she gets out, she suddenly remembers to call a reporter and mention her "protective order" against Shawn Adkins. The same man who was hiding in her house the day before.

Billie is what happens when Karla Homolka meets Casey Anthony. I just hope Billie didn't pull an Elisa Baker into the bargain. (Sorry so TL;DR.. I just have a lot of feelings right now, okay.)

At the same time hearing the voices to go along with the names were pretty cool to.

As far as the podcast, IMO, I think you guys rocked it!!! Your voices sounded great and you are so comfortable with each other; you play off each other very well. I was so pleasantly surprised never had heard your voices before. Imp, you know this case so well and could discussed it intelligently & acurately and although Morbid said he wasn't up on all the details, he held his end, as well. I hope you do more podcasts in the future ~ I will be listening! Thanks for the great show!
 
Just a heads up -

I'm being told that right now, there are some 20 troopers in the grass near I-20 between CCity and Sweetwater. It appears they're looking for something specific. If anything is found, I'll be updating the case.

Am I a total sap for hoping it's not Hailey, but something that would lead to her being found alive? Probably.
