An Oklahoma City daycare is under investigation after a baby in its care suddenly stopped breathing and was sent to a hospital.
According to the Warr Acres police report, officials said 6-month-old Liam Farrar was dropped off Thursday around 8:45 a.m. at Kelly Knipfer's home daycare.
In the report, police said Knipfer said Liam was in baby swing, and was being fussy.
The police report said Knipfer picked Liam up when he started having "gasping-like respirations" before he went limp.
Police said Knipfer started CPR while another daycare worker called 911.
Warr Acres police released the 911 calls to FOX 25:
Liam was taken to a hospital where he remains. His condition is unknown at this time.
- Dispatcher: 911?
- Daycare worker: "We have a home daycare. One of our babies just got dropped off. We went to lay him down and he started making this weird breathing sound. Now he's, like, not really breathing."
According to the Department of Human Services, Knipfer's daycare license was revoked on Dec. 18, 2018.
A DHS inspection report online shows a lengthy list of violations at the daycare including unsafe sleeping surfaces, falsified safety records and hiring caregivers without a proper background check.
The same report shows other incidents dating back to July 2018. In the report, it states a 19-month-old child was swaddled with a fleece blanket covering the child's entire body, head, and face.
