A Maryland high school volleyball coach posed as a teen boy to solicit and receive explicit photos and videos of underage girls, authorities said.

Evan Thomas Harris Frock, 32, was busted Monday on multiple child porn-related charges after a search warrant was executed at his home in Taneytown, according to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office.

Frock, who worked as the head varsity volleyball coach at Westminster High School, allegedly used several usernames on Snapchat to send, receive and solicit explicit photos and clips of young girls.

Frock, who also worked at the school as a long-term substitute, posed as a boy during his alleged scheme. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children got a tip that a subject later identified as Frock had shared child porn on Snapchat from last April through October, sheriff’s officials said.

Investigators believe Frock contacted more than 1,000 users on Snapchat and think he may be associated with other schools and athletic businesses throughout greater Baltimore. He used usernames such as volleygirlhan, volleygirl1025, laxguy2323, and pictures1025 on the social media platform, authorities said.

“Investigators are working with school officials and the Carroll County Board of Education to identify additional student victims who may have had inappropriate contact with Frock,” sheriff’s officials said in a statement.

A former substitute teacher and head volleyball coach at Westminster High School is pleading guilty in federal court to sexually exploiting children.

Prosecutors say Evan Thomas Harris Frock, 34, falsely posed as a high school aged boy on Snapchat to solicit explicit photos and videos from underage kids.
A criminal investigation was launched back in February 2022 after investigators received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

According to court filings, Frock preyed on these children dating back to at least October of 2021.
The feds say Frock distributed explicit video content of at least one victim, in addition to sending graphic photos of himself to minors.

He now faces a mandatory sentence of 15 years and maximum of 30 years. Sentencing is scheduled for April 16.

On Tuesday, April 16, 2024, U.S. District Judge Brendan A. Hurson sentenced Evan Thomas Harris Frock age 34, of Taneytown, Maryland, to 17 years in the Bureau of Prisons for sexual exploitation of a child. Frock, a substitute teacher and volleyball coach in Carroll County, Maryland, posing as a teenager, used social media accounts to meet and communicate with children and to encourage them to produce and send to Frock images and videos of themselves engaged in sexually explicit activity.
