A British man has been sentenced to four years in prison for rape after he pricked a hole in a condom before sex — an act his victim branded “pure evil,” according to court reports.

Andrew Lewis, 47, was caught after his partner found a pin alongside condoms with holes in them in a bedside drawer — and then a damaged used condom in the trash, according to the Worcester News.

“He told police he had hoped the condom would split and it would improve the intimacy,” prosecutor Glyn Samuel told Friday’s sentencing at Worcester Crown Court.

“He said it was the stupidest thing he has ever done.”

Lewis made it clear he did not want to impregnate his partner — who was not named for legal reasons — but hoped she would “change her mind” about insisting he wore protection, his defense attorney, Lynette McClement, said.

Lewis was sentenced to four years behind bars after admitting rape at a hearing in July, the paper said.

"Breach of trust" I agree. A stupid thing to do, no doubt. Him acting like an asshole, totally. Being guilty under the legal definition of rape, I don't see how. And calling it "pure evil" is a bit hyperbole. Its a dickhead thing to do, but we've seen enough evil shit that a turdball trying to raw-dog his partner isn't even close.

Dont know wy any dude would have sex with a condom anyways.

Bit much to call it rape or "evil". How is it "evil" for a guy to want to actually feel it when he's banging?

Crazy this is how long they give people who violently rape victims in that backward ass trash country.

Curious if they charge individuals who withhold their HIV positive status from their sexual partners this way as well. The partner would not have consented most likely if they knew, therefore, by the precedent set by this case, that technically should be charged as rape as well.

Would they call it rape if it was the women who poked holes in the condom so she could get pregnant without the man's consent?
Its not rape because she could have gotten pregnant. Its rape because, and he himself admits this, she refused to have sex without protection. Her consent was not given for those circumstances. Its akin to a woman agreeing to vaginal sex and then getting some surprise anal. One having consent..the other not. If you knew your partner didnt want anal and kept going despite that..you get the picture. Consenting to sex isnt card blanche to do whatever you please. You can consent to sex while not consenting to certain aspects of it.

His literal excuse was he was hoping that his man gravy getting all up inside her would make her consent to it.

Which is the same as if a man consents to have sex with a women, but only on the condition that he wears a condom to avoid pregnancy, but she decides to ignore the agreed condition and sabotages the condom so she could become pregnant.

Its a two way street. Any man is free to say 'I dont want sex unless its protected'. He has those rights too. But considering this is a story about a guy violating a woman Im not really sure why people are trying to spin a devil's advocate for it. I commented specifically on why it was a rape charge I didnt delve into what ifs with hypothetical victims and perpetrators. I stuck to the article and actual dick bag.

OR if she tells him she's on birth control when she's not.

Interesting how much further this could be taken....what if a man(or woman) tells the partner that they are millionaires and the partner only agrees to a sexual encounter due to that believe that they are banging a rich dude(chick)....if it turns out the claim of wealth was a lie....does that not also consitute a similar violation of the agreed conditions that was integral to the consent to sexual relations?
