Jail officials were extremely apologetic about the incident that occurred last weekend. But Polk took the first legal step Thursday toward filing a lawsuit against the facility.

Don't visitors have to sign in and sign out. It's been twenty years since I visited anyone in jail and I can't remember. Either way it sucks to be him and he didn't even get to see his son.
 
@Krystal, yes, someone told me the same thing.
Yes, it was probably horrible for him, but it was obviously an accident (of his doing apparently) and well, darnit, shit happens. I don't know, a lawsuit sounds pretty severe for what happened. 31 hours? He should have busted the fire sprinkler first. Of course, I'm not the one who endured those 31 hours, so maybe I should just shut up? :rolleyes:
