Ge Yifeng allegedly killed his wife to get back at his mother-in-law, who he didn’t get along with.
The man and his wife lived with her parents, and he argued with them constantly.

Ge Yifeng, 24, had been driving with his wife Chen Liang, also 24, when an argument broke out about his relationship with her parents. The couple moved into her mother’s house in the Chinese capital Beijing after their wedding.

when Liang said she wanted a divorce, he stopped the car, grabbed a pair of scissors and knifed her in the back, neck and chest before smacking her over the head with the hammer.

When they did not believe him he posted photos of her bleeding corpse on to social media website WeChat

He then handed himself into police.
"He says that his mother-in-law looked down on him and treated him like a loser,”

Chen's parents are now demanding compensation of nearly $260,000 and the death penalty for their daughter's killer.
"We treated Ge like he was one of our own and supported him financially,”
