If you are reading this while drinking a can of Coke, may I suggest a Pepsi?

Friday, images leaked online of an alleged internal whistleblower at Coca-Cola showing that the company made its employees complete a racist training program with the goal to be, wait for it, “less white.”

Unfortunately, a major company stooping to this level wouldn’t be surprising. As I’ve warned for months, our country is inching toward a place where high-ranking executives see citizens only by their skin color, their individuality be damned. What’s worse, it’s spreading rapidly through our country’s schools (many over Zoom, of course). This week, a disgraceful New York school sent parents a “white identities” chart to find their level of whiteness. If they are too white, they may have to apologize and self-punish.

I do not accept that small children know, instinctually, that it's better to be white. I believe they can see and recognize the difference in skin tones but being racist has to be taught, just like every other thing has to be taught to little people whose brains are blank slates.

If my company tried to force me to take this course, I would refuse. And if they fire me, I would be contacting a lawyer. If these corporations want to go woke, then they need to go broke. And those companies who did the huge "racial equality" sales right after the George Floyd incident did not get a single dime from me!

Once upon a Time I worked for Walmart. Mercifully it was only four days before I quit. For me the problem there was quite simple and it actually kind of ties in with this thread. What can a person put up with when who they are is brought into question.

If you have ever gone shopping at a Walmart first thing in the morning or had the misfortune of working there during the end of a late shift overnight or start of the early shift in the morning you will understand where this is going.

The Walmart chant.

In a nutshell everyone is brought out to do this whole rigmarole to build team spirit. What I took significant offense to and as a result I refused to participate was the notion of being " Walmart family". My response at the time was that my surname was certainly not Walmart Walton or any derivative thereof. After that declaration I was told that I needed to be more adaptive. My response was that they were right I needed to learn to adapt to the situation. I resigned on the spot.

My point is this. No corporation or employer has the right to force employees to wage war on themselves psychologically, to doubt themselves, to capitulate to foolish directives that are the flavor of the month. Fortunately I have hated Coca-Cola for decades and as a result have steered clear of everything they have their fingers in. No exaggeration. This is hardly surprising for them.

Fuck 'em.

I'm woke. I'm aware and I don't need a CEO or Company to tell me how to be an inclusive human being.
Humanism
Humanism is a philosophical stance that emphasizes the value and agency of human beings, individually and collectively. The meaning of the term humanism has fluctuated according to the successive intellectual movements which have identified with it. Generally, however, humanism refers to a perspective that affirms some notion of human freedom and progress. It views humanity as responsible for the promotion and development of individuals, espouses the equal and inherent dignity of all human beings, and emphasizes a concern for humans in relation to the world.

Any company that acts as a cult is no company to work for! The fucking Waltons make more in a minute than most people make in a year and no corporation and no owners should ever have so much power that they become oligarchs while the rest of us can barely afford to keep a roof over our heads. Those are more people who did not lose a single dime during the plan-demic, they got much richer. Their lives did not change one bit. All the more reason I have not shopped at WalMart in at least 20 years and have stopped supporting places like Amazon. Time to stop their monopoly and support small businesses.

Starbucks is worse than Walmart when it comes to employees moving in lock step with corporate espoused ideologies.
There's a difference between encouraging esprit de corps and thought police.
I'm sure Walmart doesn't care what employees think off the clock as long as they produce during working hours. Starbucks doesn't give that impression.

I'm sick of reading that being white equals being evil and wrong. Nobody should be told that their entire race is bad because of their pigmentation (or lack thereof). It was wrong when it was said to blacks, Asians, Latinos and indians, and it's wrong now to say it to Caucasians. Enough already.

White is wrong, Jewish is wrong ..

At one time being Jewish was also considered not white and were reminded of this many times ..
My oh my, how times have changed ..
