I'm not just considering Karla here...there are a lot of serial killers out there, some of them are married, some of their wives have an idea that something is wrong and will not act in order to protect the façade of normalcy. They are not considering the victims, they are considering what the neighbours might think. Karla is really no different...what will my parents think. what will my friends say...She played the if you can't beat them join them game for a while. But ultimately she went to the police....Good for her.

George is her father, not her stepfather. Anyone could look into her cold, cold dry eyes and see how much she cared for Caylee, only cared for her as long as Casey was getting all the attention for being Caylee mother, when it started to be work and no one else wanted to do it for her, Caylee became expendable so Casey could keep on rolling in the high life, just that she didn't expect other people to miss Caylee, as soon as Casey killed her, she forgot her. Never Innocent.

She was abused...every single book says she was abused...can you not be satisfied that she will never know peace...will never be free from her horrible acts. They follow her every where, including across the world...and will forever. She will suffer for what she has done forever. There is nothing we can do, no contempt we can show her that is greater that the contempt she has for herself. Nothing is worse than the prison of your mind. She did her time, that does't mean she is free.

I'm happy with that and the fact I just don't feel sorry for someone who put themself in the situation Karla and Casey did and then played the tired sad waif maiden to get out of it, no sypamthy for either one of them.

Casey Anthony's life was much better than mine was, I had a violent, mostly drunk, stepfather, who beat on my mother and then she screamed at and beat on us to make herself feel better, in her older years she became so narcisistic that I couldn't bear to be in the same room with her because all she wanted to talk about was how bad HER life was. I've never hurt a soul, never even considered hurting someone, both of my children as well as my brothers and sisters, all 8 of them, are alive and well and doing fine.

Nobody needs to feel sorry for either of them, they both are intelligent and not mentally deficient and knew exactly what they were doing, nothing mitigates what they did.

Karla did not look like a waif maiden walking into a police station with her face bashed in from a beating with a flash light...Personally I don't feel sorry for her either, but I do understand the trust issues she has with herself...I felt the same way after our daughter died and I tried to hang myself...I'm not safe, my biggest boggy man is myself...I am afraid of ME. I am fortunate that I no longer think that way, she will never have that luxury...she is a woman who is and deserves to be haunted for ever... twenty some odd years later, she is still full of self loathing and fear of herself for the things she did. There a women out there right now , married to serial killers who are doing the exact same thing....lying to themselves which is how Karla got in trouble in the first place, it never started with murder.

I am not projecting anything...I simply understood that with the magnitude of her crimes, she wouldn't feel safe any place. Is not free of herself. The same way I never felt safe with my self for about two years after the fact...I can appreciate that Karla will feel that same fear of herself...forever. Will never have peace.

George Anthony --- well Cindy Anthony's face when the verdict was read of course. Did you miss the ... I thought she would be guilty because you told me this or that George look she had on her face. She hated her daughter...and there are obvious reasons for that. Its not that much different from other household's where you have a bitter mother that can't stand the fact that their daughters are fucking their husbands...and are otherwise being lied to by their children and spouses. Most mothers refuse to believe that their children are innocent until a guilty verdict...Cindy Anthony threw her daughter under the bus in order to protect herself and her family secrets before the trial even started. She needed to believe in her husbands lies.

Or even the jail visit...I can't talk to mom, Dad. You know why. That's on tape too...everyone is lying to Cindy, has secrets and alliances that do not include Cindy.

And the swimming pool did come up in the the trial...Baez, made the suggestion about the pool accident. This is me thinking that she never drown by herself in a pool and that George was in the house when it happened and that George likely enjoyed being in the pool with Kaylee, for all the wrong reasons. So nope not impossible.

Or an overzealous prosecution. Casey didn't have an amazing lawyer. Hell, a public defender could have handled it just as easily because the prosecution fucked up and lost it by overcharging her.

From what I remember, the jury didn't buy any of the bullshit Baez and crew were slinging. The jury did not convict because the prosecution had no way to prove premeditation, cause of death, etc. It was all circumstantial, and that was not enough to convict Casey on the charges filed against her. It sucked, but the jury did the right thing.
