Mother Uses Her Fingers To Gouge Sons Eyes Out During Drug Fueled RitualMexico City – Police say that seven people have been arrested after a 5-year-old boy had his eyes gouged out by his own mother during a drug-fueled ritual.

The horrific incident happened during a ritual inside a home in Nezahualcoyotl that involved several of the boys relatives and involved the taking of an unspecified drug. One witness who was there said they had taken the drug and fell unconscious. When they came to, the boy’s eyeballs had already been removed.

Investigators believe the mother removed her son’s eyes with her bare fingers because the boy refused to close them during the ceremony. After realizing what had happened, one of the participants ran out and flagged down a passing police car.

When the officers entered the home they found the mother in shock with her son in her arms.

“Once the woman allowed local police to check the boy, they were astonished to see the boy had no eyeballs,” the government said in a statement.

The boy was rushed to the local hospital in serious condition, but later transported by helicopter to a more specialized facility.

Even though I used a picture of Santa Muerte (because I didn’t feel like Googling “gouged eyeballs”), there has been no word on the ritual’s details. However, reports are that it does not seem to have any ties to the Saint Death cult, and no altar or statue of Saint Death were found inside the home.

The once clandestine cult has become a little less hidden lately and is rising in popularity in both Mexico and the United States. Last year, some members of the cult made the news after admitting to killing two 10-year-old boys and a 55-year-old woman as an offering to Saint Death.

I love Santa Muerte. Partly because I am morbid and love skeletons, but mostly because the Catholic Church deemed followers of Santa Muerte as devil-worshiping, criminal, Satanists — all three of which I would let babysit my kid before a Catholic priest.

      In case she was unaware, gouging the eyes out of someone typically leaves them eyeless. Glad we got that cleared up because I know it can be a little confusing.
      How would she know that he didn’t close his eyes unless hers were open as well? HMMM? GOTCHA, BITCH! Someone gouge HER eyes out ASAP. It’s only fair since they were open too and all that jazz.

      The wiki link for Santa Muerta had a lot of info. dont know what kind of drugs they took but they dont sound like typical santa muerte worshippers who smoke or leave gifts of marijuana for her statue. I have often thought about what the world would be like if the catholic church had not sailed all over and forced their beliefs on the indiginous people who had the misfortune of running into them. It only confused them and raped them of their history and culture. Could anyone imagine how much more advanced we would be had they not destroyed the mayans star charys or burned the alexandrian library just to name a few. Christianity put us back into the dark ages in order to keep people in fear, ignorant and enslaved.
