Cedric Cuthbert Accused Of Viewing Child Porn At Disney Resort

PHOENIX, Arizona – After a 16-year-old girl went to her neighbors to tell them her father had been molesting her for a number of years, he was arrested and charged with one count of sexual abuse, two counts of child molestation and 11 counts of sexual conduct with a minor. During their investigation police learned that the suspect had also molested his oldest daughter who moved out of the house when she turned 18. She had attempted to stop her father two years ago by going to her pastors at Church on the Word and informing them of the abuse. A meeting was setup between the victim, her father and pastors Daniel and Laura McCluskey. At this meeting the father admitted to the sexual abuse and the pastors advised the girl to forgive her father since he was remorseful. This worked, as the father did stop molesting her…he just kept molesting the younger daughter. Because the pastors failed to report the abuse as required by law, they essentially allowed the man to continue with a new victim. They have both been charged with failure to report sex abuse. Hallelujah.

Will now wait for the flock to bleat their support for their pastors’ actions.

  • Gee

Unfucking believable…. If you can not count on the pastors to help you. This poor girl. At least she was able to go the neighbors

  • aka jas

Good. They can all go to hell. Worthless.

  • dodiafae

The number one piece of advice for any victim of child sexual abuse, “If no one will listen to you, keep telling until someone does.” Thank goodness for the neighbors. The pastors can go to Hell (and probably will.)

  • The_Shadow_Knows

Now the pastors will play the Jesus card: “boo hoo, we sinned, but God forgives us and so should you.”

God may forgive, but I don't. Charge the so-called pastors as accessories after the fact.

  • boughtthefarm

What a wonderful couple. Jeez I cannot think of any better advice to give a poor, helpless girl whose father is freaking screwing her. Forgive him. I hope the two of them get the hell beat out of them.

  • Sugarglider1

Damn. Seriously. I hope these pastors enjoy “Forgiving” the people who are going to beat (and possibly rape) their asses.

And what if she got pregnant?…I wouldn't be surprised if this is a state where you need your parent's permission to get an abortion.

  • Sugarglider1

“The number one piece of advice for any victim of child sexual abuse, “If no one will listen to you, keep telling until someone does.”"

True, but easier said than done when it comes to the young victim. Especially when the molester is their own parent. Yay for the neighbors.

  • KAOS

Hallefuckinlujah, finally some consequence for people who fuck with other people's head in the name of “god”. Bet their not so fucking pious now, and they should be ashamed of themselves. I don't forgive them, or the coward, degenerate father, three bullets three good deeds, Amen

  • EveryVillainIsLemons

I think Jesus would personally drop-kick those pastors. They had a duty to protect those children from their father's lust, and they didn't. Jesus was pretty clear about how he felt about people who hurt kids.

  • Isabella Serafina

Adding a WTF to this line of comments. I get so angry about these people that won't protect children from abuse of any kind. If he had broken her arm, would they have told her to forgive him? Yeah, your arm is dangling uselessly, but you just need to forgive him. Don't go to the hospital or anything…Here. Let me pray for ya there. Have a cookie. It'll be okay. That's how daddies show you they love you.

  • iluvpuppies

pastors should not be charged. people talk to them in confidentiality, also the father DID stop abusing the older girl. it's not the pastors' faults at all here fuckheads. you wanna kill someone, kill the father your bloodthirsty nerds

  • The_Shadow_Knows

Clergy are “mandated reporters” of child abuse in Arizona. They broke the law when they failed to report the abuse, and might I add showed themselves to be thoroughly disgusting human beings. They betrayed some of the most vulnerable members of their congregation. Hiding behind the pulpit hopefully won't save them from the punishment they richly deserve.

  • EveryVillainIsLemons

Bullshit. Read the list of mandatory reporters for the state of Arizona here: http://www.rainn.org/public-policy/legal-resour

They're every bit as guilty as the shitstain sperm donor for allowing the abuse to continue without notifying law enforcement.

  • The_Shadow_Knows

On top of which, it seems the girl came to them – not the father. I'm sure the last thing she wanted was for them to set up a “meeting” with her abuser and browbeat her into “forgiving” him. So if anything, they betrayed her confidence by telling the father what she said – rather than reporting his sick ass to the police as they should have done. The other girl suffered two more years of abuse thanks to what was either their cowardice or bad judgment.

Unfortunately, religious people in this country can get away with practically anything – including starving their children to death, denying them medical care, or killing them during “exorcisms” – by hiding behind the Bible. So I doubt the pastors will receive their just punishment from the law.

  • Parrot Toes (kathybird)

They are scum! What vile, disgusting examples of the church that they are! If I were that girl, I went to them for help, and they told me to forgive my father, I probably would have grabbed a pen or letter opener or whatever else was readily available on their desk and stabbed them both in the eyes!

What her father did to her is unforgivable. What those priests did not do for her is unforgivable as well. All three of these men are disgusting pieces of shit who should never be allowed to be near children or in a position of trust ever again!

  • Sugarglider1

Shut up, you ignorant cretin. Who gives a fuck if people talk to them in confidentiality? Talking to pastors isn't legally protected. Talking to a doctor is–but even then, if you pose a danger to anyone the doctor has to report it. The pastor is a piece of crap. And you are, too.

  • Sugarglider1

Agreed with you on all counts of your post!

  • http://www.facebook.com/kennyhackett Kenny Hackett

Wow, really, sexual abuse is not something the church should try to handle. Look where that got the Vatican. The pastor and his wife deserve to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. No excuse here at all.

  • Parrot Toes (kathybird)

Dr.'s are even required by law to report it if you are a danger to yourself, let alone anyone else.
Confidentiality rules only go so far.

  • dodiafae

Bullshit, “iluvpuppies”. There are no confidentiality rules that legally apply here, and even if they did, it was the victim who went to them, not the pedophile sperm donor. They had a duty to the victim, NOT the pedophile sperm donor. Their actions were to protect HIM, not HER. And even if it were the pedophile sperm donor that went to them, they are required by law to report any abuse, suspected or confirmed, to LE.

If they were doctors, and they even suspected that the girl was being abused, they would be bound by law to report it to LE. If they were teachers and even suspected that the girl was being abused, they'd be required by law to report it to LE.

These people didn't do their jobs. And they didn't fulfill their moral or legal responsibility. Their actions (or lack thereof) were criminal and they need to pay for their crime. Just like anyone else. If they never see the light of day again, it'll be too soon, IMO.

  • Sugarglider1

My thoughts exactly. And how horrible for the girl, going to a trusted “authority” who then put her back in the situation and enabled the man to abuse the younger girl as well.

  • Lexismom

I've said a million times … I'll say it again ,” he needs a bullet in his fucking brain” !!!! Kill all these mofos that our ruining our babies lives !!'n furthermore …. Shank the pastor too. Shame on him !!!!! Makes me wonder if he's not a pervert to. Makes me fucking sick to my stomach !!!!

  • Yinzer

This ” iluvpuppies” ASSHOLE, also thought that the guy that set the pitbull on fire should have finished the job.

iluvpuppies, YOU are a ASSHOLE and a MORON, DELUXE MODELS !
……………..and I am being very nice with my words.

  • http://www.facebook.com/james.leese James Sumner Leese

Your a fucking idiot! you obviously don't know the law, or right from wrong. pull your head out of your ass, and don't waste your time seeking out opportunities to make an ass of yourself. Folks around here don't have much respect for those who defend scum, or predators in general, and this includes most religions .

  • Sugarglider1

Oh, yeah, that's right–it IS the same asshole. Burn the dog, give the pastor a raise, and give the molester a sugar cookie and a pat on the back.

  • Lexismom

I bet that pastor a baby raper too !!! Who in their right mind would not call the cops right NOW !!! And report his ass !!! Chances are , we will be reading a few stories on this pastor real soon. I'd put money on it.

  • Pissed as hell

I believe incest is a SIN. And because the child was, Obeying Thy Father, they should have had his ass arrested for disobeying GOD's laws and also the laws of this country. All arrestees are guilty of something. The father for being a sick fuck, and the pastors for betraying this child and not doing what the laws of Arizona require. I would also like to state that these fucking tools are morally irresponsible.(That may not be a crime in the law, vut it is in my book)

  • Ninja0980

Not to sound jaded here… but I'm betting if this girl had come to them saying she had feelings of same sex attraction, they would have told her she was going to burn in hell and that God would never forgive her.
But her father raping her? Forgive him and everything will be a-okay!

  • http://profiles.yahoo.com/u/BTYN5SIVHWNRENFLKYBXYNVYVE Avie

These two pastors and their ilk make me nauseous. Like so many other holier-than-thous, they care more about intimidating victims into “forgiving” their aggressors. Don't get me wrong–forgiveness is a good and beautiful thing–when it's genuine and the person being forgiven has truly seen the error of their ways. (If, when confronted, the father had admitted his crimes, and expressed remorse by castrating himself and then walking into the police station to turn himself in, I'd say he might be worthy of forgiveness. In 50 years. Maybe.) Forgiveness is also not the same as forgetting. And, when it comes right down to it, some people just don't deserve forgiveness!

I'd have more respect for religious type people if they weren't such wishy-washy damned hypocrites. I agree with what Ninja0980 said. If she'd gone to these preachers with other issues, like homosexuality or admitted to having an abortion, there would be no forgiveness for her. Her father raped her, though–hey, forgive the man–he's only human! And I wonder if they threw in, just for good measure, the whole “well, young lady, you WERE dressing rather sexy and enticing your father…” Their type are infamous for that sort of accusation. They love to blame the victim.

  • http://justiceforcaylee.synthasite.com/ shyloh

So true. Guess God didn't see it the perps way. God is just.. YAAAAAAAY for God!!!

  • Runebeo

I don't think what the pastors did was wright but I think theres more to the story, I bet the father said how will my family survive without in I'm in jail and with the girl out of the house the pastors may thought with this warning thing would change. Pastors much like lawyers need some legal protection or who would talk to them.

  • littlemoonseductress

I think you have an excellant point! Like tends to protect like, do they not! Predators like to place themselves in positions of power and a mealy mouse wife would be a perfect partner-in-crime or at the very least protector. I would be scouring thier cells, computers, and homes for evidence of complicity. The DA can be creative! What they did doesn't make good common sense unless they agreed in some way with what he had done. It just doesn't.

  • The_Shadow_Knows

Here's a disgusting story along those lines from earlier this year. This girl was forced to stand up in front of her entire church and confess the “sin” of getting pregnant – even though she was impregnated when a church deacon raped her:

    http://abcnews.go.com/Health/MindMoodNews/alleg

  • Parrot Toes (kathybird)

They don't need legal protection, they need moral values. Besides, the Vatican haz theyr backz yo.

  • Sugarglider1

“Pastors much like lawyers need some legal protection or who would talk to them.”

Dumbass, it was the victim who went to talk to him. The girl felt safe to go to him because she believed he would DO something. Children are told in school to report abuse to an authority. She thought she was doing that.

Fuck your take on things. Pastors do NOT need legal protection for failing to report that which they are legally required to report. They are not above the law.

  • http://profiles.yahoo.com/u/BTYN5SIVHWNRENFLKYBXYNVYVE Avie

I'm going to have to disagree with you on several points, Iluvpuppies:

    1) The pastors weren't thinking about keeping confidence when they betrayed a rape victim by calling a conference with her and her assailant.

    2) Even if he the father was the one who divulged the information to them, they were required by law to report him to the proper authorities. Clergy are required, by law, to report serious crimes.

    3) That the father quit raping the older sister after she was “advised” to forgive him doesn't take away the fact that he raped her. He also moved on to her younger sister. He wasn't that sorry about what he did.

    4) No one here is a “fuckhead,” unless you're talking about these two pastors. According to various dictionaries I've consulted, the definition of “fuckhead” is “a person regarded as inept, foolish, or contemptible,” and all three describe them perfectly. They're inept for trying to reason with a criminal, foolish for failing to report a serious crime and contemptible for enabling a rapist to move on to another victim. In other, more vulgar words, they're fuckheads.

    5) It is completely the pastors' faults. As clergy, they are supposedly held to a higher level of ethics than everyone else. They failed miserably. Their licenses should be immediately revoked.

  • The_Shadow_Knows

“Legally protecting” the clergy is in direct violation of the First Amendment: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.” Granting special privileges to the clergy (i.e., legally recognizing them as having some special status) is a brazenly unconstitutional establishment of religion.

In addition, pastors certainly don't need any “legal protection” that results in children continuing to be molested. But don't worry. I'm sure your buddies, the child molestation approving pastors, will get a jury full of morons and cry their way out of it by pleading Jesus.

  • Sugarglider1

Great, great. Ever notice how one fundamentalist looks exactly like another? What's next–stoning her to death? Disgusting.

  • Sugarglider1

Seems to me that the poster you're responding to would rather live somewhere more like IRAN…

  • The_Shadow_Knows

If you read the story, they actually told her she was lucky it wasn't “Old Testament times,” or she would have been stoned to death.

I bet she felt really “lucky” to be raped by one church leader and publicly humiliated by the others.

  • Sugarglider1

Let's hear it for Theocracy. *shakes head*

  • dodiafae

If the father said “how will my family survive with me in jail”, it is the pastors' responsibility, as leaders of their church community, to report him to LE anyway and then help the family find a way to survive and find a way to get along without him, so they don't have to take him back when he gets out.

Also, ditto what everyone else responded. Also, I think you're an idiot. Don't confuse this with name calling. I'm only stating my opinion. No one should have to deal with pastors like this, because they do more harm than good.

  • dodiafae

Oh, Good Lord… what is it with “religious leaders” named “Phelps”??? Is there a “fucking asshole” gene, just add religion?

  • Sugarglider1

Good point! I wonder if they're related to the Westboro fools?

  • The_Shadow_Knows

    Sure seems like it.

  • EveryVillainIsLemons

“If the father said “how will my family survive with me in jail”, it is the pastors' responsibility, as leaders of their church community, to report him to LE anyway and then help the family find a way to survive and find a way to get along without him, so they don't have to take him back when he gets out.”

Exactly. And if I were a member of the clergy and some jackass tried that line on me, I'd say, “Maybe you should have thought about that before your raped your child, you miserable shitstain.” Then I would put a millstone around his neck and throw him into the deepest body of water I could find.

Aren't you glad I'm not a member of the clergy? :D

  • Jesussucks

These people are sick! They need to get a taste of there own justice! I say kill the Pastors and let the kids watch! Go to these links and see what memebers are saying about these god like losers. http://www.azfamily.com/news/local/Phoenix-dad-

  • Sugarglider1

Wow, you're right! Lots of posts there from people who were in this church (especially women) and who say this church sucks. Wasn't the only case of incest/sexual abuse being covered up, either, according to at least one of the posters.

  • Lexismom

Even if the guy said ” my family won't survive without me ” … All the churchs in my area give food , clothes … Ect to people in need. Not to mention there are places such as salvation army that will help families in need . So that's no fucking excuse in my book. I would rathe be broke , with nothing except my kids , than to allow someone to molest or rape them .. For what ??? A comfortable living !! Bullshit , I'll be homeless and starvin wearing rags before I'd shhh in my kids being hurt !!

  • dodiafae

Aren't you glad I'm not a member of the clergy? :D

I gotta say, I would not weep for the shitstain.

  • Guest420

Great . . i think i am done with my lunch now, all of a sudden i just feel like puking.

  • deadskinmask213

Praise *?!?!* *Cough* *Cough* Kids please dont do drugs or believe in devine intervention because in alot of ways both may dissapoint and piss you off in the end.

  • angel_of_accountability

Hard to believe that this day in age a pastor wouldn't be aware of his legal obligation to report abuse, even if the moral obligation was blinded by his faith. Even harder to fathom there are people who would blindlessly defend him ! But ignorance is no excuse – the pastor is as guilty of the assault/s on the second child as the pedophile father ! ! !

  • nicb

You are a fucktard! It's mandatory for them to report not that someone with your level of intelligence would understand it..

  • nicb

Amen Shadow, well said!!! I went through something similar as a child and to this day it still eats at me that no one helped me but Karma is a bitch and I know it will come back to Mrs. Martinez some day!

it seems that pastors have a history of committing foul deeds themselves (look at all the priests molesting boys..) so a pastor should just stand by when there is a crime committed involving a child? That is ridiculous..even a therapist is required by law to report crimes revealed in “sessions”

Nothing much – the same eejit on both comments who seems to have a problem with poster phxflyguy. Let’s just say the lack of capitalisation, punctuation, spelling and grammar prowess and just in general the ability to utter themselves in a coherent manner certainly highlighted the average IQ we were dealing with…
