Veedersburg, IN–It is with great displeasure and disgust that I introduce you to Samantha Light, 25, and Stephen Quick, 31. These two piles of human waste are really into kids…little kids…infants even.
On February 28, the Fountain County Sherriff’s office received a call from the parents of a 3-year-old girl. The child had told her parents that Light and Quick touched her inappropriately. Not only that, they filmed it.
Deputies served a search warrant on the Light and Quick household. Among the items seized; a video camera, computers, pornographic materials, and drugs. When officers viewed the tape inside the camera, they found the couple engaged in sex acts with four different victims. One of the victims was their own infant daughter. The other victims were children the couple babysat for. The children ranged in age between 2-months-old to 6 or 7-years-old. Police said at least five children are believed to be involved in the incidents and they do not believe that all the children are from the local area.
A second search warrant was served. This time, officers seized several items used with the victims in the video tape.
Fountain County officers say it’s some of the worst child pornography they have ever seen. ‘It’s very disturbing,’ said Chief Deputy Dana Jeffries. ‘Probably some of the worst things I’ve ever seen in 30 years.’ I can not imagine having to view those tapes…gotta give kudos to the officers.
The case is still under investigation, so right now, it’s not known exactly how long these assholes have been molesting children…including their own. And, Jeffries noted there is the possibility of more arrests by the sheriff’s department as a result of the investigation.

page, you can see he’s a father to four other children. Let’s just hope he never laid his skeevy hands on any of them.
Stephen Quick was charged with three counts of child molestation as a Class A felony and one count of child molestation as a Class C felony. Samantha Light faces the same four child molestation charges as well as an additional count of child exploitation, a Class C felony. If convicted, they both face up to 50 years in prison. Their child was removed from the home and placed in the custody of DSS.

FIFTY YEARS , are you really kidding me, they deserve LIFE WITHOUT EVER A CHANCE OF PAROLE OR BETTER YET SHOT BETWEEN THE EYES BOTH OF THEM AND BE DONE WITH THESE PIECES OF GARBAGE OR EVEN BETTER THAN THAT…. Let the parents of the poor victims go into a room with both of them and let them do whatever they feel they need to these two pieces of garbage and whatever happens happens…

50 years BS, probably out in 3 and doing it all over again, the only way to stop them is to put a bullet between their eyes. They can’t be rehabilitated and they’ll just clog up the system, shoot them and be done with them.

Maybe, just maybe, since these pervs filmed and exploited the children they molested, it could go federal, if so, then they will spend a long time in prison…..
However, Texas has the toughest laws for child molestation (50 years is a long time at their ages) and usually never get paroled, without having served the full sentence. The best scenario, of course, would be to hang them from a high tree, and let everyone take a take a swing at ‘em….. I would even pay a fee to get to do that….just sayin’….

There should be a law created that states if evidence includes VIDEOTAPES (and therefore there is no doubt of guilt) trial should be skipped and the perps shot on the spot. Hell, allow the parents of the victims to pull the trigger.

I went to high school with that sick bitch, and I am close with the family of one of the victims. I just found out about all of this, and I am having a lot of trouble processing it all. It’s just…unbelievable. I am angrier than I have ever been in my life!!
My understanding is that they face 30-50 years PER CHILD. That still isn’t enough time for these bastards to suffer, but it’s better than only 50 years overall.
They are expected to plead guilty, which means less time spent in the courts, but also probably means a lighter sentence. On the bright side, they are expected to be prosecuted in at least 2 counties, possibly more as they get more information.
I totally agree, though I think friends and family should be allowed a few swings too. I think this should just be the beginning of their punishment, that they should be welcomed to prison this way, and if they survive it they get to do it again and again until they finally die and go to Hell where they deserve.

What was the sick bitch like in high school? Do the charges now floor you, or was she a perv then and voted “most likely to end up in gaol” by her class? Is there anything you can tell us that might throw light on the background?

hello, i am the mother of one of the victims….I cant even begin to describe what I am going through…. I just cant wrap my mind around all of this…I just dont understand how a family member whom I grew up with, whom I idolized for a long time, can do this to my child, or to any child….She was never like this… I dont know if he corrupted (sp?) her, or if she was secretly this sick for a long time…If that is so, then she hid it very well…I truely hope they get the shit beat out of them… She doesnt even look like she gives a damn in her mug shot…… WTF?!? I JUST DONT KNOW……

She wasn’t like this in school. A little weird, maybe, and certainly not the sharpest tool in the shed, but she wasn’t like this. I have a feeling that he strong-armed her into this, that he was the instigator. I’m not defending her; she had every opportunity to say NO and leave him and turn him in, long before they had a child together. She’s just as guilty as he is, especially since she appears to heave helped him do this, not only through her inaction, but by actually taking part in the crimes themselves. They are BOTH disgusting filth.
Hello. I am so sorry that this has happened to you and your child, to any of these families and victims. I hope that you are receiving enough support from your family and friends; we are being as supportive as we can of the family we know.
This crime is terrible, beyond terrible, but these two sickos will get what’s coming to them. Even hardened criminals don’t tolerate child-molesters in prison, so their stay will be wonderfully brutal. In this life and the next, they will get what they deserve.

I am truly sorry that your child was one of the children victimized by this pair of evil turds.
If your child remembers any of the abuse, let her tell you all she or he, went thru and what she is feeling. It will be a nice conversation of course, but trust me it will make her heal. I will keep your family in my prayers, as well as the rest of the families that are just now facing this hell.

Yes, as a matter of fact Samantha does have an EX. Her maiden name was Sturgill. Her ex and she had been seperated for years and actually are divorced. And not because of any of these things she is being charged with. They never had any children together. And in fact he has moved on with his life. He now has a new family and wishes to keep them as far from this horrible situation as he can. He just as Steve’s ex’s should be left alone to live their lives. And not bring anymore people or even children into the mess that those two sick people have caused! We are sorry for the victims, the familes effected, and even the parents of Samantha and Steve … our hearts and prayers go out to you all. So please leave the EX’s be … they wish to go on with their lives and not be judged over someone elses stupidity (remember they were smart enough to divorce them or move on!!)!!

I was friends with Samantha growing up when she lived in Salem. She was my best friend back when we were in diapers. She was a good little girl and attended my grandfathers church. This is a total shocker for me. I would of never guessed she would hurt a child, especially her own! I would guess Steve was a bad influence of Samantha. I know on her myspace she wrote how she was so much in love with him.
She had me in her top friends, which explains why I’ve had so many hits on my page lately.
My prayers are with the families and children they hurt.
I was also happy to see the last person didn’t give her ex’s name out. If I was her ex husband, I wouldn’t want my name posted either.

I am also a long time aquiantance of Samantha’s. My grandson was one of those 5 children who trusted her and Steve and found himself forever changed. I have never liked Steve but Samantha would have never been on any list that I would have made of molesters or abusers. However, there is no amount of ‘Bad Influence’ that could EVER explain this. For most all people, if someone held a gun to their head and said to do this to a child, especially their own child, I would bet 99% of the time there would be brains splattered before harming a child. Or even just a one time occurance to get it done and away from the other and then grab the children and run screaming to the nearest police station.
I also am thankful that the ex’s have not been named. They are surely struggling themselves.
On behalf of my family and most especially my grandchild, I say thank you for all the prayers and good thoughts sent our way.

Hi, I am related to the victim that spoke out against these two mutants of our society. I am completely floored that something like this could even happen. I pray for my family as well as all of yours that has been slapped with this hardship.
I am sorry but I cannot feel sympathy or even empathy for samantha, that was her own two month old daughter, and if any of you have heard some of the things that she let happen to her 2 month old baby you would understand what I mean when I say—there is absolutely no way that she did not know that this was wrong (but obvciously in her sick twisted mind she liked it!). I don’t care what kind of coercion, drugs, or influence she was reputedly under there is no excuse. Visit her myspace page where she talks about how children are god’s blessings and gifts to be cherished—and then the blog about how she brags about her acting skills and maybe just maybe someone will realize that samantha light is a very good actress, and not just a party to stephen quick’s coercion or influence.
the good news is—most child molesters do not make it in jail for more than 1-2 years, the other prisoners that are in there for various things despise them just as much as all of us that would like nothing more than to lynch them in front of the court house.

I have not seen nor heard from this asshole sence 2007, after he beat the shit out of me and touched one of my daughters and i filed charges. I am not the ugly fat ass up there next to him that done that to those poor babies. For all of you mothers that are dealing with this…i am so sorry. I know what you are going through. The kids on his old myspace are my kids he is not the father of them. Thank god. I have contacted myspace about taking his profile down to protect me and my children. Thank you for posting about leaving the EX’s out of this. I am one of Stephens EX’s. My myspace has been getting hits on how I sopposely could do this to these kids. I had not idea what was going on until a good person sent me a message about it. You know who you are and thank you for that. I will pray for all of you that are living this horror. I know what you are going threw,it happened to one of my daughters from this sick ass. but where i live they said they did not have enough proof to charge him. My daughter lives in hell everyday. The smile on her face when I told her they finally got him and he is in jail was priceless, yet she cried when she found out other kids where involved in the same situation she went through. She is 10 now, and suffers from post tramatic stress disorder along with autisum. I have went on with my life, gotten married and have a wonderful family with my new husband Jason. I feel justice has not been done if those sick asses are only getting that little of time. I hope to god that they get what they have coming to them when all those people in prison find out what they are in thier for.

Ladies/Gentlemen,
First, I would like to express my sorrow for those of you affected by Quick, Light, and others. Believe me when I say I know first hand about childhood abuse. The sad part is, while the children who were physically, mentally, and emotionally assaulted, the problem is larger than that. While they bear the scars of their trauma, we are all connected. We have all, in some way, been affected by this crime or else you wouldn’t be blogging. I personally felt anger, sadness, nausea, and disbelief. In many ways, I imagined what it must have been like for the victims and even relivied some of my own trauma. This is my point in posting.
I am a retired 26-year military intelligence officer who served both in peacetime and in times of war. I saw first hand the horrors. But, I came to understand much of my emotion was based upon other events I experienced during my lifetime. This was the lens from which I saw, understood, and responded. When the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan started, I went back to college to finish my PhD in Human Services/Psychology (I also have a Masters in Criminal Justice). For my dissertation, I explored the differences in the way men and women see, understand and respond to trauma based upon lifelong learning and experience. After interviewing hundreds, I have a considerable understanding of how childhood trauma will affect men and women the rest of their lives. I saw and heard, first hand, how childhood physical, mental, emotioanl and sexual trauma afected their ability to cope with life events. I interviewed dozens of women amd even men who were adult survivors of childhood sexual assault who had been victims later in life and even by fellow soldiers during deployment. Their stories were heart-breaking. However, through them, I came to understand, it wasn’t the physical act that caused them the most problems. It was betrayal – the feeling that someone you trusted in some way violated that trust. We, as mental healthcare providers, try to help child and adult vicitms deal with the immediate trauma. However, we often neglect earlier events that influence, perception, understanding, and response. This is like treating a scab or sore when the real cause is a disease that we can’t see.
Because of this belief, I am writing a book on betrayal trauma to help victims and healthcare providers deal with the effects of betrayal. This is my point in posting. I need your help and the help of others to write the book. I need to hear your story. How did Quick, Light and others affect you? If desired, I will keep your identity hidden. But, I need to tell your story. In telling your story, you will be helping yourself, me, and others heal. For example, Kelly, though you had nothing to do with Stephen’s most recent crimes, you have been horribly affected. To the families of the victims, you too have been victimized because you, too, were betrayed. Many of us in your situation would feel we should have seen the warnings and should have tried harder to protect the vicitms. The honest truth — you could not have prevented what happened. The difference — shame and guilt. Shame is felt because of who we are (Kelly, this is you because you are an “ex”). Guilt is because of something we did or didn’t do. Unfortunately, we often give ourselves more power than we actually have. Your story will help me write the book on how to overcome the betrayal, and shame and guilt that goes along with it.
