Police Seek Man Accused Of Setting Dog On Fire

October 8, 2010 at 7:22 am by

Suffolk, VA – Police say that after a verbal altercation over a pair of tennis shoes, Lashawn Harper decided to get even with his brother by setting his dog on fire. According to the brother, when he refused to hand over a pair of shoes that Lashawn wanted, Lashawn walked outside and doused the 1-year-old pit bull with gasoline and flicked his Bic before fleeing. The dog, Patron, was able to extinguish the flames by rolling around in the grass. Though he suffered burns to his neck, face and chest, none of the injuries are life-threatening and Patron is expected to fully recover. This isn’t the first incident of animal cruelty in the home – Lashawn was reportedly convicted on animal cruelty charges last year and the court ordered he was to have no dogs. In addition, it’s been reported that animal control has responded to the home at least five times since April to perform welfare checks on the numerous dogs being kept there. Police have issued warrants for one count of animal cruelty and one count of malicious wounding of an animal.…

Suffolk, VA – Joy Joco put her horses out to graze Monday afternoon and headed into town to run some errands. When she returned home approximately three hours later, one of her horses, a 16-year-old Tennessee Walker named Angel, wasn’t in the pen where she had been left. As Joy approached Angel, she could see blood on the animal’s hindquarters. “I was like, ‘Oh my God!'” Joy said, “I called the vet immediately. He came out and examined and said to me, ‘Joy, do you have any enemies?’ And I said, ‘Not that I know of.’ He said ‘This horse has been raped, you need to call the police.'” The vet believes the horse was sexually assaulted with a blunt object, possibly a baseball bat. And judging by marks found on the horses hind legs, it appears as if she was restrained during the violation. A witness reported seeing a silver Ford “dually” parked in the driveway while the family was gone and Joy said someone cut through a portion of the fence around the pasture to gain access to Angel.…

CHESTER, VA – I never thought I would ever be writing an article for the site praising someone working in a Capital One call center, but there’s a first time for everything. Someone from a Capital One call center in Richmond, Virginia called a home in Georgia that was answered by a young boy who hung up. The boy somehow called the number back and was put in touch with Capital One employee, Chamara Washington, and he was pretty upset. “(He) kept saying somebody wouldn’t wake up,” recalls Washington.”He was crying and wouldn’t stop crying. I started asking questions.” The 4-year-old boy boy begged her to come help him and to please turn the television back on. Since he had called her, she had his number and called Georgia police with the boy’s address. As a mother of a 5-year-old, Washington did what she could to keep the boy calm as he described fixing himself cereal for dinner. Police were able to locate the boy who, as it turns out, has been living on his own for three days with a dead adult in the home.…

Louisa, VA – Police say an 8-year-old girl snuck out of her grandparent’s home in the wee hours of the morning last Thursday. At about 3:00 a.m., the child walked to a neighbor’s home and reported that she had been abused. “She had bruises all over her,” Sheriff Donald Lowe said. Her ear had been partially torn. She had blood on her.” In addition to the torn ear, the girl had a broken foot, bruising on her head, legs and arms, and it appeared as if some of her hair had been torn out. The child was treated for her injuries and placed in protective custody. Police believe the child’s grandparents, 48-year-old Ronald Jewell, and his wife, 49-year-old Laura, are responsible for those injuries. The pair were indicted on Monday on one count each of torture and felony child abuse. Mrs. Jewell faces an additional charge of malicious wounding. According to Mr. Jewell’s attorney, his client became distraught and broke down in tears after looking at pictures of his young granddaughter’s injuries during a court hearing last week.…

Front Royal, VA – Kristal Renee Henry, 26, had a pretty spiffy arrangement set up with a couple – she and her child would be provided with room and board on the conditions that she babysit the couple’s 11-year-old son three days a week. She has lived in their basement for the past couple of months and has lived up to her end of the bargain. Going above and beyond the call of duty, she not only provided child care, but a smidgen of skeevy sex education, too! The victim’s father contacted police after discovering a love note of sorts that indicated his son was “kissing and sleeping with their 26-year-old babysitter.” In addition to the letter, authorities seized a camcorder, thumb drive, computer and handful of triple-x rated movies. When authorities viewed the contents of the camcorder, they saw Henry’s 5-year-old son “running around in the nude,” and were able to determine that the victim was filming the other boy, while Henry could be heard in the background. When the victim was interviewed, he stated that he and Henry “had oral sex and touched their private parts together” on June 24th and 25th.…

FAIRFAX, Va. – Two teen girls have gone missing and the police no longer think they left on their own free will. A week ago 15-year-old Tram Hoang was spending the night with 16-year-old Tiffany Ghani at the Lillian Court apartment complex. The two girls snuck out of the apartment sometime around 10 p.m Friday night. Tiffany’s father woke up and discovered they were not in the apartment at around midnight. He ran out into the parking lot where he saw a young girl get into a dark car with two adult males inside. Police feel the other girl was already in the car. Tiffany’s father yelled for them to stop, but the car took off and no one has heard from the two girls since. They missed their final classes at George Marshall High School, their cell phones are no longer on, the took no clothes or money and friends and family have heard absolutely nothing from them. Floyd, VA- The nasty, piece-of-shit, low-life, fucking asshole you see staring back at you this morning is 27-year old Joshua Lantz Cromer. The crime Cromer committed happened back on Feb. 15, but I am not about to let this fucking maggot slither by without making an appearance on the front page. What happened was that Cromer was not too happy when he learned another man had been involved with his girlfriend while he was serving time behind bars. So, to get back at the guy, Cromer raped the man’s 7-year old daughter. In fact, he sexually assaulted the child so badly that she had to be hospitalized overnight. Nice job, ass-wipe. I really hope your asshole becomes Karma’s new bitch every single day you have left of your worthless, pathetic life. Cromer was originally charged with rape, malicious wounding, aggravated sexual battery and object sexual penetration, but at a hearing Tuesday, he pleaded guilty to rape and aggravated sexual battery. The other two charges were dropped. The girls’ parents agreed with the outcome of the case because Cromer’s pleas spared the girl from having to testify during a trial.…

Goode, VA- This sexy seductress smiling back at you today is 28-year old Kristina Nikole Pongracz. Besides ignoring her roots, this vixen enjoys drinking, caning old geezers to a bloody pulp, and looking adorable for her mugshot photo. A charming creature, is she not? On May 4, deputies were called to a home for a disturbance and found Pongracz’s 77-year old boyfriend, William Herchenrider, lying on the bedroom floor covered in blood. Herchenrider’s cane was found next to him along with Pongracz, who was passed out. Officers noticed Pongracz had large amounts of blood on her but no apparent injuries. Herchenrider was transported to Bedford Memorial Hospital, but, due to the severity of his injuries, he was later transferred to Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Pongracz was arrested and charged with aggravated malicious wounding. She is being held without bond. If Herchenrider has regained his senses (that had been temporarily out-of-order due to his wrinkled carrot), I believe Pongracz is back on the market. If the mugshot was not enough to get you guys excited, you can view the MySpace of “Her Royal Highness” here.…

A Watched Pot Never Boils…

Newport News, VA – ….but a toddler left on the stove just might. Last Friday evening, Julia sat her 1-year-old daughter on the stove in order to take a picture. Like you don’t have any pictures of your kids on top of the stove? Puh-lease. While she and her boyfriend Justin were dealing with one of their other four children – all of whom are under 6 – little Zoie toppled over on the stove and ended up with burns on her back, shoulders and arms. Neither Justin nor Julia felt the injuries warranted a visit to the emergency room – they decided to treat the burns themselves. Four days after the fact, after CPS and law enforcement got involved, Zoie was finally treated at the hospital. Julia says she doesn’t know why she put the kid on the stove in the first place, but claims the stove wasn’t even hot – it had been off for at least three hours. “It wasn’t a hot stove. The stove was off.

Front Royal, VA– Earlier this year, Charles W. Woodson, 41, took a trip to the Noah’s Ark Pet & Aquarium store in Front Royal and purchased a guinea pig. When he was later seen by neighbors wearing a hat made from the skin of a guinea pig, which included the animal’s head, the police were called. Authorities obtained a search warrant and seized a  “black/golden guinea pig hide including head,” and the “leg to small animal” from Woodson’s home. Woodson was arrested and charged with  animal cruelty and later released on a $2,500 personal recognizance bond. If convicted, Woodson faces a maximum punishment of 12 months in jail and a $2,500 fine. Deputy Laura L. Gomez, who is also assigned to animal control, said they were concerned it would escalate and they did not want the public to think it’s OK to purchase pets from a pet store and make clothing out of them. …

Blairs, VA – Melvin Ray Emerson, 69, was cruising his 1985 Cadillac DeVille along Spring Garden Road in Blairs when a 2004 BMW suddenly passed him. This angered the old man and he began to play caddy-whack with the BMW by ramming his car into the rear end of the passerby, striking it three times before the BMW turned into the driveway of a home. Emerson struck the BMW again as it turned into the driveway, which forced the vehicle to rotate and strike the front porch. Emerson then hopped of his Cadillac with a .38 caliber revolver, fired a shot into the air and left the scene. Emerson drove north on Route 640, but did not get far. He lost control of his Cadillac on a curve and struck a tree on the side of the road. It was there he abandoned his vehicle along with the loaded gun and thumbed a ride home from a woman passing by. Emerson was later found by police hiding in a grove of Leland cypress trees behind his home.…

Brandon Lockett Should Be Locked Up

February 5, 2010 at 7:22 am by

Roanoke, VA – Back on January 14, 2010, 24-year-old Brandon Lockett called 911 to report that armed men entered his home and abducted his 2-year-old stepson, Aveion Malik Lewis. Although an amber alert was issued, it was canceled after police shifted their focus to Lockett. Lockett provided conflicting stories about what allegedly happened to his stepson and apparently admitted that the boy was dead. The police asked for the public’s assistance in locating the little boy’s body. A week later, on January 27, 2010, the child’s little body was found in a landfill. His stepfather has been arrested and charged with felony child neglect, improper disposal of a human body and obstruction of justice. Hopefully, Lockett will also be charged with murder upon completion of the investigation.…
