Massachusetts — Jury selection begins today for one of the men charged in the death of that kid at a firing range two years ago. For those of you who may not remember, 8-year-old Christopher Bizilj was at the “Great New England Pumpkin Shoot” with his father and 11-year-old brother last October when he was given the opportunity to fire a 9mm Micro Uzi. The gun jammed on him twice but on his third attempt to fire the gun machine gun, the stock fell from his shoulder swinging the barrel upwards. As Christopher tried to keep the gun from falling, he was killed after the gun fired and Christopher accidentally shot himself in the head. Former Pelham Police Chief Edward Fleury was charged with involuntary manslaughter and four counts of furnishing a machine gun to a minor. He was charged because he owned the company that co-sponsored the gun fair at the Westfield Sportsman’s Club and is responsible for hiring Carl Giuffre and Domenico Spano, the two men who supplied the guns and ran the firing range.…

East Brookfield, MA — On October 21, a 3-year-old child was transported by ambulance to the UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester after she started “nodding off.’’ Police were notified after hospital staff found a needle mark on the child’s arm and heroin in her system. At that point, the little girl was placed in state custody and authorities began hunting for her mother’s boyfriend, 30-year-old Jeffrey LeBlanc. They caught up with the douchebag last week and arrested him on a probation violation. During questioning, LeBlanc told police the child had been sick, and while under his care, he injected her with heroin because he thought it would make her “feel better.” Seriously, I would’a beat the snot out of him with a stapler about 3.5 seconds after that shit spewed from his pie-hole. Police said LeBlanc told them he had no intention of killing the child and admitted that he’d been using drugs when he gave her the injection. He has since been arraigned on charges of distributing drugs to a minor, assault and battery on a child causing substantial injury, reckless endangerment of a child and being present where heroin is kept.…

Boston, MA — A Boston preschool teacher hit the crack jackpot on Monday after one of her young charges complained that her toddler-sized Nike Air Jordans were too tight. Bending down to remove and adjust the tiny pink tennie, the teacher was rather shocked to find 17 individually wrapped bags of crack inside a larger plastic bag. Teachers later told police the 3-year-old child believed her mother had placed the “candy” in her shoe. “Where’s my shoe?” the child reportedly asked teachers. “Mommy’s going to be mad at me.” When police made contact with the tot’s mother, she claimed she had no idea the kid was transporting drugs. She told police the girl had complained that morning that her foot hurt, but she just loosened the laces and sent her off to school. Police then questioned mom’s boyfriend, 19-year-old Demare Gary. He told police he put the crack in the kid’s shoe the night before and had forgotten about it. He was booked on charges of possession with intent to distribute a Class B substance, possession with intent to distribute drugs in a school zone and reckless endangerment of a child.…

SALEM, Mass. — A father is facing charges after it is alleged he fired a paintball gun at three little girls and then tried to blame his 5-year-old daughter for pulling the trigger. Ricky Bettencourt, 37, is facing three counts of assault with a dangerous weapon after cops say he used a paintball gun to shoot at three girls, ages 11, 9 and 7, playing in the woods near their home. They asked him to stop, which he did for a brief time, before he started shooting at them again while laughing. When police arrived, Bettencourt denied shooting at the girls saying his 5-year-old daughter was to blame. When his daughter was questioned she revealed that her father was doing the shooting and that she had told him not to do it. Bettencourt admitted that he had consumed a few beers, but pleaded not guilty in court yesterday. He was released on his own recognizance until his December court date and is not to have any contact with the three girls.…

TOPSFIELD, Mass. — A man has been arrested and charged with shooting out the tires on a car driven by his girlfriend’s teenage son. On Wednesday evening, 41-year-old Mark Letellier returned home with his girlfriend to find that her 16-year-old son, who had been previously grounded,  was not home. When he returned home from a friend’s house where he had been doing homework, he was confronted by Letellier who pulled out a firearm and shot out all four tires on the car to prevent him from driving.  When police arrived they found a drunk Letellier, who had just recently moved into the home, explaining that the boy had broken curfew. He was arrested and charged with carrying a firearm without a license; assault by a dangerous weapon; malicious destruction of property over $250; discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling; carrying a firearm while intoxicated; possession of a firearm without a Firearm’s Identification Card; and intimidation of a witness. His bail isn’t high so he is probably out by now, much to the dismay of neighbors who worry for the boy and his younger sister’s safety. …

FALL RIVER, Mass. — A disturbing case of elderly neglect out of Massachusetts where a man has been arrested and charged with elderly abuse after his 91-year-old mother died from neglect. Police say that paramedics were dispatched to the home of Olivia Cruz after her son, 56-year-old Filip Cruz, called them to take her to the hospital. Inside the home they found Olivia had been marinating in her own urine and feces for weeks, and was suffering from extreme bedsores, rotting flesh, and an infection that had spread through her bloodstream. “As soon as we picked her up, the lady was screaming,” said neighbor Maria Sousa, who helped get the woman into the ambulance. “She smelled, her face was all covered with food, like it’s never been washed.” Neighbors said they had not seen the woman in over a year. Filip, who was her primary caregiver, was charged with permitting injury to an elderly or disabled person, and permitting serious injury to an elderly or disabled person. A court doctor found Filip to have a delusional disorder and was arrested earlier this year after leaving over 100 threatening messages at a church.…

Hanover, MA – Don’t know what to do with your pesky old father while you go out and earn a living? Can’t afford to stick him in a home? Two words: Duct. Tape. That’s right, just duct tape the old dude to a chair and you bought yourself hours of freedom, baby. You’re probably saying to yourself, “Sounds great! But what’s the catch?” Well, some people won’t appreciate your inventiveness and ability to think out of the box, and you may just find yourself in a spot of legal trouble…kinda like John Hallinan. He’s accused of binding his 93-year-old father in duct tape and leaving him home alone to roll around in his own shit all day. Deputies showed up at the home Hallinan shares with his father after receiving a tip from a group of ladies who regularly cleaned the home. They found the elderly man laying on the kitchen floor wearing nothing but duct tape, a dirty t-shirt, and a shit filled diaper. Police said the man was near death.…

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. – A man charged with molesting his girlfriend’s 7-year-old-daughter got a possible glimpse of what his life will be like if he is convicted while standing before a judge on Thursday. While 24-year-old John Messieri was listening to his charges, a fellow prisoner in jail for burglary, 43-year-old William E. Reed, turned and punched Messieri in the face. Court officers jumped in and separated the two and escorted Reed out of the courtroom with some added assault and battery charges. Messieri was arrested after his girlfriend told police that she witnessed him touching her daughter inappropriately while tucking her in bed. The girl would tell investigators that he had done this on multiple occasions. Messieri was ultimately held on $50,000 cash bail and had his bail revoked from a previous suspended license charge. This means he’ll be spending the next 60 days in jail. I hope each of them are very long, accented with servings of tossed salads and knuckle sandwiches.…

Springfield, MA– Michael Wiecorek, 43, is one of those pieces-of shit that has a difficult time dealing with rejection. Police say Wiecorek went to the home of his 38-year old ex-girlfriend this last Wednesday in an attempt to get back together with her. I assume the ex-girlfriend’s response was not the response Wiecorek wanted to hear and it wasn’t long before things turned ugly. Wiecorek allegedly became violent and began trashing his ex’s apartment. Police say Wiecorek then started punching the woman and poured lighter fluid over her body and in her mouth, while threatening to set her on fire. When the woman’s 10-year old son bravely came to his mother’s defense, Wiecorek punched the boy in the stomach and then kicked him in the groin. Wiecorek was scheduled to be arraigned Thursday on charges including attempted murder and assault and battery. Personally, I think Wee-cork is in desperate need of a nice, long nap. Preferably under the jail with a very thick dirt blanket.…

Brookline, MA — On June 11, a police officer was monitoring Larz Anderson Park when he noticed a man walking his dog. When the man’s dog allegedly crapped on the grass and the man did not pick up after it, the officer approached him and told the man he needed to pick up after his pet. The man said he would, but ended up leaving the park several minutes later without scooping the poop. Not willing to let the shit fly, the officer followed the man to his home, got out of his car and told him he would be issuing a citation because he didn’t wrap the crap. A little while later, the officer was waiting at a red light when a black car pulled up next to the officer. A man got out of the car and began banging on the officer’s window. The officer immediately recognized the man as the dookie-dodger from earlier, 59-year old David Maurer, and in Maurer’s hands was a prized bag of dog feces.…

Chicopee, MA- And police are saying this was no joke. On Monday afternoon, 24-year old Matthew Brace along with his girlfriend and their 3-month old baby girl entered the gas station located near an Econo Lodge, where the couple had been staying on public assistance. A maintenance worker at the station asked Brace how old was the child. “For two 40s, you can have her,” Brace replied and then he placed the child and her stroller in the man’s truck. The man told Brace he was going to go call the police and Brace immediately removed the child from the vehicle and left the station. When officers arrived, they found Brace with his daughter behind the gas station. Police said Brace was trying to hide the stroller behind a dumpster. His girlfriend, who has not been charged, was located inside the store buying cigarettes. DFC was called and the child was placed in their custody. Brace was charged with reckless endangerment of a child and sent to Baystate Medical Center for an evaluation.…
