AMITE, LA – Five family members have been charged after they subjected an autistic woman to a litany of abuses, including forcing her to eat the ashes of her dead mother.

The events you are about to read happened between 2015 and 2016. The family members accused have already been charged and are awaiting trial.

The reason why it is being so widely reported is because the indictment against them was just made public and lists the long, creative list of horrible things they allegedly did o the victim.

The victim is a 22-year-old woman (named only as D.P. in the indictment) who suffers from several disabilities, including severe autism.

D.P. lived with her mother and other family members at her mother’s mobile home until D.P.’s mother died in 2015.

Now left in the care of the remaining family members, D.P. was subjected to extreme abuse — both physical and mental — for the next year.

The family allegedly treated D.P. like an animal, forcing her to live in a cage outside that was covered by a tarp.…

NATCHITOCHES, LA – A woman has been charged with murder after she allegedly kidnapped a 6-month-old boy and setting him on fire.

I was just about to stop for the day but saw this headline and figured I would share.

Last Tuesday, police were called to the Mayberry Trailer Park by a Hanna Barker who said a man and woman she did not know came to her front door and sprayed her in the face with mace.

Barker said she panicked and ran from the trailer, leaving her 6-month-old son, Levi Ellerbe, behind. When she circled back to her trailer, she found Levi was missing.

Police were in the process of searching for the boy when they were notified about a fire by some nearby railroad tracks. It was there they found the badly burned body of Levi.

The boy was taken to the Natchitoches Regional Medical Center before being airlifted to University Medical Center, where he would die from his injuries.

On Saturday, police made their first arrest. Felicia Marie-Nicole Smith, 25, was taken into custody and charged with first-degree murder and booked into the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center.…

VICTORVILLE, CA – A man doing some little girl shopping was arrested after he snatched a 4-year-old girl from a cell phone store.

The incident happened last Friday as a mother was inside a Victorville cell phone store holding a young child while her 4-year-old stood nearby.

As you can see in the below surveillance video, the little girl is standing by the front door when  24-year-old Terry Ransom simply reaches in and drags the girl out by her arm.

He doesn’t get far as the girl’s mother jumped into action faster than I do when there’s free cocaine on a coffee table.

Ransom lost his grip on the girl and ran away as the mother brings the crying girl back inside the store and comforts her.

Outside, Ransom reportedly sat in traffic laughing before getting up and running away. Bystanders tackled him and held him at the scene until police arrived.

Ransom, who was possibly under the influence of drugs, was evaluated at a hospital before being booked for kidnapping and child cruelty.…

According to reports, 38-year-old Shivon Perez asked her ex-boyfriend Bradley Atkins over to her apartment to help her fix a pipe that was leaking under her bathroom sink.

The couple had only broken up the week before but were on amicable terms, according to Atkins. He thought he was at the apartment to fix the leak, eat dinner and watch a movie.

However, while he was under the sink working on the pipe, he noticed Perez standing over him while holding a container.

When he asked what was inside the container, Perez responded, “It’s gasoline, you son of a bitch,” before dousing him with charcoal fluid.

“You are going to pay,” Perez reportedly said before setting Atkins on fire.

As Atkins began taking off his burning clothes, he noticed Perez was locking the front door while spraying the charcoal fluid on the living room floor.…

Bodega Bay, CA — Timothy Marble, 50, is facing charges after police allege he kidnapped a 13-year-old runaway and raped her numerous times, injected her with meth, and carved his name into her leg.

According to a statement released by the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office, Marble called 911 early Saturday morning to report his 13-year-old “companion” had jumped out of his moving vehicle and disappeared.

Back in August, 30-year-old Kala Brown and her boyfriend, 32-year-old Charlie Carver, disappeared from their apartment leaving cell phones, a car, and their dog behind.

The faded from the news a bit until recently, when someone started posting on Carver’s Facebook page.

The person making the posts claimed the couple were fine and just decided to leave.

Their family members did not believe the posts were coming from the couple, thinking the page had either been hacked, or the handiwork of the person(s) responsible for their disappearance.

We now know the fate of Brown, who was found alive inside a storage shed on property belonging to 45-year-old Todd Kohlhepp, a registered sex offender.

Acting on a tip provided by a sex crime investigator, deputies were on the property when they heard banging coming from the storage container

Spartanburg County Sheriff Chuck Wright said Brown was “chained inside the container like a dog.
