FORT LAUDERDALE, FL — Police have charged a woman with attempted murder after they say she intentionally set her ex-boyfriend on fire on Easter Sunday.

According to reports, 38-year-old Shivon Perez asked her ex-boyfriend Bradley Atkins over to her apartment to help her fix a pipe that was leaking under her bathroom sink.

The couple had only broken up the week before but were on amicable terms, according to Atkins. He thought he was at the apartment to fix the leak, eat dinner and watch a movie.

However, while he was under the sink working on the pipe, he noticed Perez standing over him while holding a container.

When he asked what was inside the container, Perez responded, “It’s gasoline, you son of a bitch,” before dousing him with charcoal fluid.

“You are going to pay,” Perez reportedly said before setting Atkins on fire.

As Atkins began taking off his burning clothes, he noticed Perez was locking the front door while spraying the charcoal fluid on the living room floor.…

AVONDALE, AZ – The body of a woman who went missing for two days has been found, and her ex-boyfriend has admitted to setting her body on fire.

On Tuesday, 21-year-old Jasmine Dunbar was reported missing after her 7-month-old daughter was found on the side of the road strapped in a car seat.

The mother and daughter had been last seen with her ex, 20-year-old Antwaun Ware.

On Thursday morning, police found Dunbar’s dead body in a field six miles from her home. She had suffered extensive burns, according to police.

When police located and questioned Ware, he admitted that after he picked up Dunbar and her baby Tuesday evening, they got into a physical altercation related to a paternity test he was supposed to take.

After punching her in the face several times with his fist, he dumped Dunbar in a field still alive. He then dumped Dunbar’s baby in another neighborhood figuring some people walking nearby would take care of her.

He then returned to Dunbar and doused her with gasoline before setting her on fire.…

MILWAUKEE, WI – A woman in Milwaukee has been accused of killing her son by setting him on fire in a bathtub inside their apartment.

The Milwaukee Fire Department was dispatched to 23-year-old Amelia DiStasio’s residence Thursday morning after getting a call regarding smoke coming from her apartment.

When they made their way inside, they found the lifeless body of DiStasio’s 4-year-old son in a bathtub. The poor kid, who suffered from autism, had been burned alive.

Reports say his hands had been bound behind his back with several belts, and a plastic garbage bag had been pulled over his head before he was set on fire.

Also in the bathroom was an open bottle of cooking oil sitting in the sink, a pet guinea pig drowned in its cage by the tub, and the apartment’s smoke detector submerged in water.

A witness told officers she saw a “frazzled” woman jump from the window of the apartment building before firefighters arrived. DiStasio was taken into custody later that day after she was found walking down the street.…

BRUSSELS – Police in Belgium believe a woman killed her two-year-old daughter by burning her alive on a charcoal grill.

On Sunday evening in the town of Zemst, neighbors called police after hearing a little girl screaming from inside a garage as smoke came from under the garage door.

When police arrived at the home, they found a 27-year-old woman cooking the body of her 2-year-old daughter on a charcoal grill. There was no saving the girl, as most of her body had already been fully charred.

“We both had to burn,” the woman told the arriving officers. “That was the only way we could go to heaven together.”

She also stated that the only way for a person’s soul to go to heaven was for their body to be cremated.

The mother was taken to the hospital due to severe carbon monoxide poisoning. She was later arrested in the hospital on suspicion of murder.

An autopsy on the girl has already been performed, so authorities know if the poor girl was burned alive, but the results of the report have not been made public at this time.…

MEMPHIS, TN – A popular musician is dead after he livestreamed himself pouring kerosene all over his body before setting himself on fire in front of his ex-girlfriend.

The incident happened Saturday morning outside Murphy’s Bar where 33-year-old Jared McLemore began a Facebook Live video that starts with him sitting in a parking lot.

McLemore lifts a red jerry can and completely douses himself with kerosene before a man, realizing what McLemore was about to do, tries to kick a lighter out of McLemore’s hand. He fails, and McLemore is able to ignite himself.

You then see McLemore jump up and run screaming off camera. According to witnesses, McLemore ran towards the bar where his ex-girlfriend, Alyssa Moore, was working as a sound engineer.

According to reports, McLemore had waited until the band playing in the bar had finished their set, knowing Moore would walk away from the soundboard she was operating.

McLemore approached Moore and mumbled a “goodbye” before grabbing her arm and wiping it on his chest to show he was covered in kerosene.…

PALM BAY, FL – A man has been charged with murder after he was accused of dousing his estranged wife and stepson with gasoline before setting them on fire.

Police say 64-year-old Edgard Fuentes broke into his estranged wife’s home Thursday night and poured gasoline on her as she was sleeping.

Her son, 32-year-old Eric Montes, ran to her bedroom after hearing her yell in surprise and got into a struggle with Fuentes.

Montes was also doused with gasoline in his attempts to stop Fuentes, but he was unable to prevent Fuentes from igniting the gasoline and flee the home.

ibanez-and-scyleeNEW YORK, NY – Two baby sisters were scalded to death after a radiator busted inside the room where they were napping.

The tragic incident happened on Wednesday after the sisters, Ibanez, 2, and Scylee, 1, were put down for a nap by their father inside a New York homeless shelter.

When their mother returned home an hour later, she went in to check on the girls and made a horrifying discovery. It seems as if a valve on the radiator busted, filling the room with scalding hot steam, causing horrific burns to the girls’ faces and chests.

Witnesses say the girls’ parents, Danielle and Peter Ambrose, ran screaming into the street carrying their children. The girls were rushed to the hospital suffering burns to 70 percent of their bodies, but were unable to be saved.

I’ve been reading a handful of sites reporting on the parents’ history of drug addiction, homelessness and history with child welfare. While the articles themselves don’t blame the parents for their daughters’ horrific death, this info hasn’t stopped the people commenting on the articles from doing so.…

Misty ChildsFLORIDA – Police in Saint Petersburg are looking for a woman wanted for attempted first-degree murder after she poured boiling soup on her boyfriend’s face.

A little after midnight on Sunday, 41-year-old Misty Childs got into an argument with her boyfriend, 45-year-old Lavont Moss inside the halfway-house where Moss lives.

After the argument, Moss went to bed while Childs fixed a pot of soup. Once the soup was boiling, Childs dumped the pot of soup on Moss’s face and torso as he was lying in bed. Childs then fled the scene.

One of the other residents described hearing Moss screaming that Childs had burned him before he fell on the couch.

“He was barely able to breathe because of the pain. He was moaning,” said Ashleigh Ferris.

Wesley Clark, a trained paramedic who also lives in the house, said the injuries Moss suffered were some of the worst he had ever seen.

Melissa WrightWETUMPKA, AL – The Alabama Pardons and Paroles Board has denied the early release of 40-year-old Melissa Wright, the woman who put her baby in a hot oven back in 2002.

In June 2002, Wright removed the racks out of an oven, turned it to broil and waited for it to heat up. She then placed her 14-month-old daughter, Ashley Smith, head first into the oven.

Ashley was rescued by her father who heard her screams and found her inside the oven. While Smith was only in the oven for a short amount of time, she suffered third-degree burns to over 30 percent of her body.

Despite claiming voices told her to put her daughter in the oven, Wright would plead guilty to attempted murder, and be sentenced to 25 years in prison. On Tuesday, after having serving 13 years and 9 months of her sentence, Wright stood before the parole board in hopes of an early release.

Smith was also there to ask the board that her mother remain in prison.…
