MONTEVALLO, AL – A family is distraught after having to have one of their dogs euthanized because someone had skinned the animal alive.

When Delana Dunnaway woke up Friday morning, she realized that one of her dogs, a 2-year-old pug named Bama, was missing. After a few hours of searching for the dog, her son-in-law found him in some woods behind their home.

“When he walked up on him, at first he thought it was something another animal had drug up and said, this can’t be possible.” Sadly, it wasn’t something another animal had drug up. It was, in fact, Bama. To their horror they realized that Bama was missing large amounts of skin and was barely alive.

They rushed him to the Calera Animal Clinic where the vet there informed them the horrible news that someone had skinned the poor dog alive. Doctor Rhonda Ellison says there were distinct straight edge cuts on the skin.

“The skin was completely off his back and off side of his flanks and from his neck to his legs, so completely skinned, someone intentionally did it,” she said.…

NEW BADEN, IL —  Police in Illinois are trying to locate a couple of teenagers accused of  using a skateboard to kill a 6-month-old kitten at a local park.

The owners say the kitten, named Tomale, wandered from their home and ended up a couple blocks away at a city park. Tomale’s owners eventually made their way to the park while searching for the kitten and ran into a group of kids there who informed them Tomale was dead and currently residing in a nearby trash can.

According to the kids, Tomale had been killed after a teen at the park pitched the kitten towards another teen who used a skateboard as a baseball bat. Horrified, they checked inside the trash can and sure enough, there was Tomale — it’s neck broken with blood and foam coming from its mouth.

“It was the hardest thing I had to do was to pull a kitten that we had just gotten for our kids out of a trash can and find out that some kids who were supposed to be up here skating, just doing innocent stuff, could sit there and murder a kitten,” sobbed Kristin Neu.…

LAKE IN THE HILLS, Ill — A teen in Illinois was arrested after she came home drunk, bit her mother and then bit the family dog several times.

Officers were responding to a home at around 4 a.m. Sunday after neighbors called to report loud screaming and pounding. There they encountered a 37-year-old woman who had been physically assaulted by her 19-year-old daughter, Analise J. Garner.

She said the pair had gotten into an argument after Garner arrived home late and drunk. This altercation resulted in Garner punching her mother in the face and biting her hand. But she wasn’t the only one in the home to be assaulted by Garner’s mouth.

Police Garner also chewed on the family’s 80-pound English bulldog. According to police, there were several visible bite marks on the dog. As a result, the dog bit back and Garner was treated at the scene for a bite wound on her arm. Because the dog bit her, standard procedure dictated animal control be notified.

“The dog was defending himself,” police Sgt.…

WATERTOWN, NY – On the evening of April 19, 21-year-old Jessica Baughman allegedly escalated an argument with her grandmother by removing 12 of her grandmother’s pet goldfish from their tank and sautéing them until they died.  She also broke the elderly woman’s wooden wolf statue which was valued at all of twenty dollars.

Apparently, after the fish fry, there was an extended lull in the fighting because it wasn’t until about 12:30 a.m. when the police were called.  It seems that the argument had resumed and grandma, 63-year-old Vera Nichols, claims that Baughman had become enraged again, pushing her until she fell onto a bed.

Baughman was arrested on charges of felony cruelty to animals, fourth degree criminal mischief and second degree harassment. Baughman was detained at the Metro-Jefferson Public safety Building and her bond was set at $2000

I know I’d be pretty peeved if someone murdered one of my pets in a culinary fashion but I couldn’t help myself, I laughed trying to imagine how this transpired.  Maybe I’m a big old jerk, I don’t know.…

Medway, UK – A UK woman was convicted of six counts of animal cruelty after her akita, Ruby, was found lying in the woman’s garden covered in maggots and feces in a severely weakened state.

Julie Walker, 48, was found guilty was convicted in her absence of causing unnecessary suffering to the 12-year-old akita. RSPCA Inspector Caroline Doe said Ruby was in a worse condition than, “any of the other thousands of cases she had dealt with.” Ruby needed to be euthanized due to her condition.

After finding her guilty of all charges, magistrates issued a warrant for Walker’s arrest. Walker reportedly presented herself at the Medway police station on Wednesday and was taken into custody.

Clearly a master of legal maneuvering, Walker – during the sentencing hearing – claimed that she knew nothing about her trial and asked for the case to be reopened. In rebuttal, the court clerk presented a fax that Walker had sent to the court acknowledging the case and asking that it be dismissed. D’oh.…

Tulsa, OK – A veterinary student who was videotaped engaging in sex with a horse got off. …with probation after pleading guilty to sodomy charges in an Oklahoma court

Thomas Wilson, 28, was a veterinarian in training at the Legacy Equine Medical and Surgical Centre near Tulsa. According to court records, in September 2009, a co-worker of Wilson’s checking on the horses by live video feed saw Wilson probing a horse with his ‘peniscope.’ …and that’s unlawful in Oklahoma.

According to the arrest affidavit, the colleague confronted Wilson immediately after seeing him engaging in sex with one of the center’s horses. Wilson reportedly responded, “I’m glad you caught me. I need help.”

The Oklahoma State Board of Medical Examiners investigated the incident and he was charged him with one count of sodomy. According to the OSCN, Wilson was arrested and released after posting a $100,000 cash bond. Sodomy is punishable by up to 10 years in prison in Oklahoma.

Man Accused Of Spray Painting Dog’s Face

April 18, 2012 at 10:09 am by

NORTH HIGHLANDS, CA — Police have arrested a man after he allegedly spray painted the face of a dog, and exposed two other dogs to some kind of household chemical.

Police were called to a home by the sister of 24-year-old Denis Vorobyov. She informed them that her brother had poisoned the family dogs and was threatening the family.

When police arrived at the residence they found a Boxer with its face and head spray painted. Two other dogs, a poodle and a Chihuahua, had been exposed to a household cleaner. Vorobyov had also wrapped rubber bands around each dog’s muzzle.

They also found Vorobyov as he tried fleeing the scene. He was jumping over a backyard fence while ditching a bag containing meth and a pipe. He did not go willingly as evident by police having to use a Taser on his ass before getting him in custody.

Vorobyov has been charged with threatening his father, maliciously maiming animals and possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia.

Lord knows I enjoy my vices, but running this site and posting these types of stories have ensured I will never try meth or bath salts.…

Fort Lauderdale, FL – On Sunday, Jenson Bolla-Sosa, 28, of Fort Lauderdale was charged with cruelty to an animal and resisting arrest without violence for (and I’m quoting from an article here) “knowingly having sexual contact with a pet dog named Mimi.”

I would like to pause here and ask you to attempt to imagine a case where one might unknowingly have sex with a dog.  I suppose I may have, at some point, had drunken sex with a dog that wound up actually being a woman, but never the other way around.

Fort Lauderdale police report that a witness saw Jenson Bolla-Sosa, 28, with his penis out, penetrating his dog’s backside.  After the owner got the dog away from the alleged doggy-diddler, he says she was “whimpering” in pain.  And then, when police arrived on the scene and tried to bring Bolla-Sosa to the patrol car, he attempted to elbow and spin away from them, adding another, less embarrassing charge, to his résumé.  No word on whether or not Bolla-Sosa was able to complete the act to his satisfaction.…

WOOD COUNTY, TX — Some asshole in Texas is facing criminal charges after throwing two dogs into a fire pit.

According to the police, four people were sitting around a fire pit getting drunk when 28-year-old Larry Lowery grabbed a dog and tossed it into the flames. A 5-year-old girl witnessed this and told her grandmother, Faye Norris, who confronted Lowery.

She says Lowery acted as if the entire thing was a joke, but apologized for his actions. Not long after, he tossed a second dog into the pit and then bragged about it.

According to one of Lowery’s neighbors, one of the two dogs was able to escape the fire pit and was last seen running away while on fire.

Lowery told police he grabbed a stray dog that had bitten him two weeks earlier and accidentally tossed it into the fire pit after he stumbled. He has been charged with felony cruelty to animals and since released on a $5,000 bond.

“It takes a mentally disturbed individual, my opinion, to do something that cruel,” said Norris.…

ANDERSON, Ind. — A homeless man who allegedly set fire to his aunt’s house was arrested after being found “playing baseball” with the heads of decapitated cats.

According to reports, 32-year-old Danny Davis has a host of mental issues and hasn’t been taking his medications. He has been living with his aunt for a few weeks, but she had recently asked him to leave.

In response, Davis killed the family cat with a shovel before decapitating it with a knife. He then used gasoline to set fire to the back porch of his aunt’s house. Firefighters were able to get the blaze under control and no one was injured — aside from the cat.

Police located Davis among the crowd of people standing outside to watch the show, but he took off running. This WISHTV article simply says he was Tased and taken into custody. But others, like the one I linked to earlier, say that before he was taken into custody he was located a short distance away with a baseball bat, using the heads of cats as baseballs.…

Fridley, Minn – A woman in Minnesota has been arrested and charged with three counts of animal cruelty after allegedly throwing three pit bull puppies at her 25-year-old boyfriend.

David Remme and 20-year-old Gabrielle Allen had been arguing inside an SUV outside an apartment complex last Friday morning when Remme allegedly struck Allen in the face, breaking her nose.

That’s when Allen reportedly picked up three week-old pit bull puppies that had been in the front seat and threw them at Remme. No reports on if she hit her mark, but the puppies landed in the parking lot.

As Allen left the Anoka County Jail with a black eye, she denied any wrong doing.

“I didn’t throw any puppies.” She claimed. “I was wrongfully incarcerated. I have a broken nose. I have some bruises and scars all over my back. That’s all I’m going to say.”

Police say that although the puppies landed on concrete, they appear to be fine. They were taken to a breeder for evaluation and neither of them were believed to have sustained any injuries.…

Vero Beach, FL — A mother and daughter were sentenced to 60 days in jail after they trained their dogs to kill a 40-pound farm-raised pig in their back yard.

Back in March of last year, 21-year-old Ashley Ramirez posted a five minute video of dogs attacking a pig that appeared to have it’s mouth taped shut. In the video her mother, 56-year-old Janice Ramirez, can be seen telling the dogs to “Get him! Bite him!” as the pig squealed.

Investigators say the women told them they were training their dogs to pig hunt and that they cooked and ate the pig after the dogs killed it.

“It doesn’t even remotely begin to meet any type of criteria for sportsman-like behavior. This is not a practice that’s condoned. It’s not acceptable training methods for animals used in this type of sport, which would be hog hunting,” said Ilka Daniel of the Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County.

Aside from their stint in jail, Janice and Ashley will also serve 30 months of probation and are expected to pay $1, 000 to the Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County.…
