A Sikeston man was arrested in connection with a woman’s murder.

Fabayan Larry, 37, of Sikeston, was arrested and is being held on a no-bond warrant for the charges of first-degree murder and armed criminal action.
According to the Sikeston Department of Public Service, officers responded on Monday, September 18 for a suspected missing person.

When investigators checked inside the missing person’s home, they say they found the body of 49-year-old Carolyn Kelso Hann.
According to court documents, she was found lying face up on the floor with her hands and feet bound with duct tape. Her head was also wrapped in duct tape, covering her eyes, nose and mouth.

They say they found a hammer, a knife, a screwdriver and a roll of duct tape in the kitchen sink, as well as a Blink doorbell camera.

Investigators say they found a safe in one of the rooms of the home. The door to the safe had been forced open and it was empty.

According to court documents, an autopsy revealed Hann suffered from stab wounds, blunt force trauma and suffocation from the tape. They say her jaws were broken and her head had extensive injuries.

The forensic medical examiner estimated Hann was killed sometime between the evening hours of Thursday, September 14 and the early morning hours of Friday, September 15.

Cigarettes found at the scene were sent to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crime Lab in Springfield. Investigators say the lab report showed the DNA profile matched a profile from Fabayan Lamar Larry.

While interviewing a health care worker, investigators say she told she last had contact with Hann on Thursday, Sept. 14. She said she knew Hann had recently gotten into a relationship with a man who had just been released from prison, but she didn’t know the man’s name.
Investigators say Hann’s daughter told them Hann recently acquired $25,000 in cash.
During an interview, a woman who knew Larry told investigators he told her he had recently came into some money.

Life Without Parole

One thing we know for certain, he's as stupid as he looks, he might as well have drawn a map straight to his door, with all the evidence he left at the scene.

But why go to all the trouble with the duct tape when you could have just done the deed and got it over with, I think he's a psycho who's into a bit of torture.
