HALSTAD, MN – A pregnant 19-year-old fatally shot her boyfriend during a stunt in which he tried stopping a .50 caliber bullet with a book.

According to reports, Monalisa Perez and 22-year-old Pedro Ruiz III had a YouTube Channel together that contained videos of their life with their 3-year-old daughter.

The channel also included videos of the couple “pranking” each other — including Perez feeding Ruiz a donut covered in baby powder and Perez pouring hot wax on Ruiz’s back.

But on Monday, Perez tweeted that she and Ruiz were going to shoot one the “most dangerous videos ever” and that the idea was his, not hers. It may not have been the most dangerous videos ever shot, but I guarantee you it was definitely one of the most stupid.

See, the plan was for Perez to shoot a Desert Eagle .50 caliber handgun at Ruiz’s chest as he held a book in front of him for protection. He assured her it was safe and showed her another book he had shot where the bullet did not go all the way through.…

HOUSTON, TX – Video has surfaced showing the moment a man was placed in a chokehold by a deputy’s husband, days before the man would die from his injuries.

According to reports, 24-year-old Johnny Hernandez was with his family at a Houston Denny’s on May 28th. Hernandez, who was drunk, walked out of the restaurant and started urinating near his car in the parking lot.

He was confronted by the husband of an off-duty deputy about his behavior and a physical altercation ensued after Hernandez threw the first punch.

According to eyewitnesses, Hernandez is punched repeatedly in the head before being taken to the ground. As you can see in the following video, the man then lays his fat ass on Hernandez’ back.

So far I don’t have an issue with the man’s actions. He sees a drunk idiot pissing in a Denny’s parking lot, says something to the man and gets swung on. Taking down the drunk and detaining him for police is fine by me, even if he got in a few licks first.…

DAYTONA BEACH, FL – Police have arrested a man after they say he fatally punched a woman in the face after he had fondled her against her will.

The incident happened at the Oyster Bay pub at around 12:20 a.m. Saturday when 36-year-old Michael Lamothe walked into the bar and hugged 54-year-old Debra Jost from behind while grabbing her breasts.

Jost told the goofy-looking dipshit to get off her and another man in the bar told Lamothe to leave. Lamothe punched the man and they began fighting, but Lamothe eventually left the bar.

He returned several minutes later with a friend but Jost tried closing the door to keep him out. Lamothe responded by punching Jost in the face, causing her to fall backward and hit her head on the floor.

Jost was bleeding from her nose and mouth when she was taken to the hospital, and would die the next day.

Lamothe was initially arrested and charged with aggravated battery, but that charge was upgraded to manslaughter after Jost died from her injuries. …

alexandro-garibaldiTAMPA, FL – We have another Darwin Award nominee after a man was charged with fatally shooting his cousin to see if a bulletproof vest was in working order.

Police found 23-year-old Joaquin Mendez outside of a home with a gunshot wound to the chest. They were told by his cousin, 24-year-old Alexandro Garibaldi, that he found his cousin like that after hearing a gunshot.

However, witnesses told a completely different story. They said Mendez had put on a bulletproof vest and sat in a chair while wondering aloud “whether it still worked.”

The cousins found out it didn’t after Garibaldi allegedly pulled out a handgun and said “Let’s see,” before shooting Mendez in the chest. Police would find the bloody vest inside the home.

Mendez would be pronounced dead at the hospital while Garibaldi was arrested and charged with manslaughter. He was being held Sunday without bond.

Before anyone decides to post the obligatory “Floriduh” comment, these two are not the only ones we have featured on DD who found out a bullet-proof vest did not work.…

Katerra LewisBIRMINGHAM, AL – Police in Alabama have charged an 8-year-old boy with the beating death of a 1-year-old girl.

Katerra Lewis, 26, was staying at a friend’s house with her only child, 1-year-old Kelci Lewis, while waiting for section 8 housing to open up for her. On Oct 11, Katerra and her friend left their children – ages 1, 2, 4, 6, 7 and 8 – home alone so they could go to a nightclub.

These classy bitches left at 11:30 p.m. and did not return until almost three hours later. During that time, Kelci was beat to death. Her body was discovered in her crib at around 10:45 the following morning. While I’m no expert, I think it’s safe to assume that means she was never checked on when the women returned home.

Birmingham police spokesman, Lt Sean Edwards, confirmed that there were obvious signs of trauma to the baby and stated the 8-year-old boy in the home is responsible.

“It is believed that while the mother and friend were at the club, the 8-year-old viciously attacked the 1-year-old because the 1-year-old would not stop crying,” Edwards said, “The 1-year-old suffered from severe head trauma as well as major internal organ damage which ultimately led to her death.”

After the boy beat the shit out of the baby, he put her back into her crib where she stayed until being found the next morning.…

Paulette RichardsonURIE, WY — Joseph Richardson and Paulette Richardson are facing manslaughter charges after they let Paulette’s 16-year-old son drink until he died from alcohol poisoning.

According to court documents, Paulette’s son, Kendal Ball, had been expressing a desire to drink. Paulette would tell police that the boy’s biological father was an alcoholic and she was afraid her son would turn out like him.

In order to stop that from happening, the couple came up with a genius plan to let the kid drink. Joseph would explain later that he was told the best way to stop the boy from drinking would be to let him drink until he got sick.

So on the night July 6, Ball started drinking with his step-father and a family friend. How much the kid drank in a two hour time-span all depends on who you ask.

Paulette said her son drank a few shots of Fireball and a few shots of Jack Daniel’s. Joseph said his stepson drank a few ounces of Jack Daniel’s.…

Sarah SandsLONDON – Sarah Sands, the 32-year-old woman facing a murder charge after admitting to stabbing her pedophile neighbor to death, was convicted of manslaughter.

Sands neighbor, 77-year-old Michael Pleasted, was a  nasty peice of work. He was a convicted pedophile who had a history of sexually abusing young boys dating back to 1970.

He has been convicted of 24 sexual offences involving children but has only spent a little over six years total in jail. In the months before Sands gave him eight new holes to breathe from, he was facing new charges of molesting three other boys.

His trial was scheduled for this summer, and the prosecution was considering a third charge against him. That is until Sands saved everyone from a lot of time and money.

Remarkably, Pleasted was granted bail and allowed to return home while awaiting his trial. Sands, who lived across from Pleasted, wasn’t having any of it. On November 28 of last year, she drank two bottles of wine and then paid her neighbor a visit – with a kitchen knife, a hammer and and a wrench inside her purse.…

Matthew CisnerosGARLAND, TX – Police have taken a 12-year-old boy into custody for the fatal shooting of 13-year-old Matthew Cisneros, a death police initially thought was a suicide.

Back in February, police were called to a home where Cisneros was found dead from a gunshot wound with a gun lying near his body. According to Joe Harn with Garland Police, it wasn’t immediately certain if the shooting was self-inflicted.

But the resulting investigation revealed Cisneros and a 12-year-old friend were playing with the gun and that the younger boy wasn’t aware the gun was loaded when he pulled the trigger and fatally shot his friend.

The 12-year-old has been placed in custody and is now facing a manslaughter charge. I couldn’t find any details on how the boys got possession of the gun in the first place, but Texas law is pretty clear that anyone who allows a child to gain access to a loaded firearm can be charged with criminal negligence.

A friend of the Cisneros family has setup a GoFundMe page to help with the boy’s funeral expenses.…

Michelle ConradBOSTON, MA – Michelle Carter, 18, is facing involuntary manslaughter charges after investigators say she encouraged 18-year-old Conrad Roy to commit suicide last year.

Roy was found dead inside his truck behind a K-Mart last year. The teen had decided to kill himself and did so via carbon monoxide poisoning. After a lengthy investigation, it was revealed that Carter had “strongly influenced” Roy to kill himself.

After his body was found, police searched the teen’s cell phone and found thousands of text messages between him and Carter in the days leading to his death. The text messages continued up until the moments before he died.

“It is alleged that Ms. Carter had firsthand knowledge of Roy’s suicidal thoughts,” the district attorney’s office said. “Instead of attempting to assist him or notify his family or school officials, Ms. Carter is alleged to have strongly influenced his decision to take his own life, encouraged him to commit suicide and guided him in his engagement of activities which led to his death.”

And by encouraging Roy, they mean she basically instructed him to. …

hammer windshieldMESA, AZ – Brett Benavides, 42, has been charged after a hammer flew from his hand while vandalizing his girlfriends car, and  fatally struck a man in the forehead.

Court documents say Benavides was losing his shit in an apartment complex parking lot, using a hammer to smash in the windshield of his girlfriend’s car.

At some point during Benavides’ dumbassery, he lost his grip on the hammer and it went flying through the air, hitting Steven Melcher in the forehead as he stood on his porch just feet away.

Melcher was taken to the hospital for his head injury, but developed a brain bleed and fell into a coma. He was taken off life support two days later.

“It just really hurts, I feel empty,” said Melcher’s wife of 25 years. “All I know is I want justice,” she said.

Dunno if she will get it, but police have arrested Benavides and have charged him with manslaughter.

One of the reasons why I posted this article, aside from the ridiculous way Mr.…

James JugoTampa, FL — A 52-year-old man has been charged with manslaughter after admitting to police that he pummeled his roommate to death after a disagreement about a stolen chicken foot.

According to police, the fight apparently began when 56-year-old Benjamin Calderon swiped said foot from the skillet James Jugo was attending to at the moment. It was apparently then that the beating commenced.

Wait…. people eat chicken feet? I’ve seen them in the meat department and shit, but I didn’t know people actually fried and consumed them. I thought that shit was used for voodoo and stuff. I can’t imagine sticking one of those things in my mouth….

Anyway, Jugo told police he beat Calderon to death with his fists, but a witness claims to have seen him swinging a wooden cutting board. At any rate, Calderon is very much dead — the autopsy revealed he suffered internal bleeding after being hit numerous times on the face, neck and elsewhere.

This, surprisingly, isn’t Jugo’s first brush with the law — he’s been arrested at least 19 times on charges that include burglary, cocaine possession, petty theft, probation violation, open container and possession of a dangerous dog.…

Juan GonzalezDavie, FL — A grieving father, angry over the death of his son in an alleged drunk driving accident, was arrested at the courthouse Monday after attempting to knock the stupid out of the man accused in the boy’s death.

On June 12, 2011, Juan Gonzalez Jr. was riding his motorcycle when he slammed into a Jeep Cherokee driven by John Powers. Police allege Powers was attempting to make a u-turn from northbound State Road 7 at Orange Drive. Gonzalez, who was traveling south, slammed on his brakes to avoid hitting the Jeep. The motorcycle skidded, slid on its side, and slammed into the Jeep. Gonzalez died from his injuries the next day.

A Davie police officer noticed the smell of alcohol on Powers’ breath, and several empty beer cans were found in his vehicle. He blew a 0.15, which is nearly twice the legal limit.

Powers was ultimately charged with DUI manslaughter and manslaughter with an unlawful blood alcohol level. He pleaded not guilty Monday. The Gonzalez family was in attendance at that hearing.…
