WALTHAM, MA – Tom Wopat, a former star of “The Dukes of Hazzard” television show, has admitted to inappropriately touching two women in the cast of a musical.

Last August Wopat was accused of inappropriately touching two female cast members while rehearsing for “42n Street” at Waltham’s Reagle Music Theatre.

Police reports said Wopat put his finger between the buttocks of one woman.

When the 66-year-old was arrested, he was found to be in the possession of cocaine.

So aside from being charged with two felony counts of indecent assault and battery and two counts of annoying and accosting a person of the opposite sex, he was also charged with drug possession.

On Friday, Wopat reached a plea deal that would have the two felony charges dropped. He was sentenced to a year of probation and received a continuation without a finding for one year for the cocaine possession.

Wopat isn’t the only Duke Boy to make the news recently. His co-star, John Schneider, was in the news this month after asking a judge to send him to jail for unpaid alimony.

Schneider was sentenced to three days behind bars for not paying his ex-wife more than $150,000 he owed her. He was released the same day he was booked due to the facility’s overcrowding.

Now he says he is too broke to pay the alimony he owes and has asked the court to send him to jail to serve out the remainder of his sentence.

Full disclosure: I only posted this as an excuse to post Rosco P. Coltrane on D’D.
