CHEHALIS, WA – Two brothers have been accused of raping and murdering a 16-year-old boy.

This is an odd one as a motive behind the brothers’ actions hasn’t been made clear. But here’s the details so far:

Last week, 16-year-old Benjamin Eastman was reported missing by his father. During their search for the teen, investigators would find his body buried in a shallow grave.

A medical examination would rule Eastman died of blunt-force trauma.

As the discovery was making the news, police were asking for help locating Eastman’s closest friend, 16-year-old Benito Marquez and Benito’s brother, 21-year-old Jonathan Adamson.

The brothers were reportedly the last to see Eastman and seemed to have left the area.

Once the brothers were located and questioned by police, they began singing — especially when cell phone records show they lured Eastman into the woods for a camping trip but actually planned to assault him.

Adamson allegedly told detectives that once in the woods, he and his younger brother physically assaulted Eastman for 20-45 minutes. Adamson estimated they kicked Eastman more than 100 times.

He also said they sexually assaulted Eastman with a stick while he was still alive.

After finishing Eastman off with repeated blows to his head with a rock, they buried the teen then burned his clothes, their clothes and the shovel they used to dig the grave.

Worried his body would be found, the brothers dug Eastman up and buried him in the place he would later be found by investigators.

Jonathon Adamson and Benito Marquez were arrested and charged with first-degree murder, first-degree rape, tampering with physical evidence and unlawful disposal of remains. Marquez has been charged as an adult and both are being held on $10 million bail.

Like I said, the entire thing is odd. Marquez was supposedly Eastman’s best friend. So, what the hell happened that led to him and his brother raping the kid with a stick before beating him to death?
