Hey, wondering where we went? No worries, we are just changing format and conducting some testing before we flip the switch. For now, you can get all of our new stuff by clicking here.. We aren't quite ready to switch quite yet, but the end result will be a continuous flow of dark and often day-wrecking content from our regular authors as well as other members. It's a work in progress and we are still working on some design and function stuff, but the updated content is now coming through.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — The body of a woman missing from a mental health facility was found in a stairwell at the same San Francisco hospital where another missing woman’s body was found five years ago.

On May 20th, 75-year-old Ruby Andersen went missing from a mental health facility. According to her daughter, Anderson suffered from dementia.

On Wednesday, a Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital staff member found the woman’s dead body in one of the hospital’s stairwells. An autopsy is pending.

The stairwell Anderson was found in is usually is locked, according to hospital spokeswoman Rachael Kagan, and only accessible to maintenance workers.

“We are very concerned how this could have happened,” Kagan said.

I bet she is concerned, along with the Sheriff’s Department. See, this is the second time this has happened at the hospital in the last five years.

Back in 2013, we reported on 57-year-old Lynne Spaulding, a patient at the hospital who went missing from her room. She was found dead in one of the hospital’s stairwells two weeks later.

An autopsy would later reveal Spaulding had been dead for several days before her body was found. Meaning the poor woman was alive for almost two weeks in a stairwell that was supposed to be routinely checked by security.

Spalding’s family filed a lawsuit and the Sheriff’s Department, which is responsible for the hospital’s security, ended up paying Spaulding’s family $3 million.

“That was a terrible tragedy. We’ve made many, many changes since that time and we have no reason to believe that this case and that case are connected, but we don’t know very much about this situation yet,” Kagan said.
