SUMTER COUNTY, FL – A passenger in an RV died on I-75 after he fell through a hole that opened when the vehicle crashed into a guardrail.

The 1994 Ford RV was being driven by 31-year-old Joseph Rapoza when he lost control and crashed into a guardrail on the left side of the road.

The collision resulted in a hole being torn into the side of the RV, directly behind the driver’s seat. That’s also where 52-year-old Keith Hertik happened to be sitting.

Poor Hertik fell through the hole while the RV was still moving, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. He was taken to Ocala Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Police are continuing their investigation but say Rapoza stopped after hitting the rail and that alcohol did not contribute to the crash.

At the very least, Rapoza should be punished for driving that thing in the left lane of I-75. The number of times I encounter these lumbering pieces of shit doing 50mph in a highway passing lane is infuriating.

They should all be grateful I’m not a religious man. “Jesus, take the wheel,” I’d say otherwise, as I leaned out my window with a shotgun and blew out their tires.
