CHICAGO, IL – Police have arrested a woman who they say filmed the rape of her friend then posted the video on the victim’s Snapchat

The incident happened on Aug. 24 after 36-year-old Beth Rae Harris and the victim got into an argument over a man at a party.

The two apparently made amends and would go to a club and a hotel party together before ending up at Harris’ apartment.

After drinking heavily, the victim passed out and woke up the next morning completely naked and feeling sore. As she was leaving the apartment, Harris informed the victim that a man had sex with her while she was passed out.

When the woman got home, she found that Harris had used her phone to record and post multiple videos to her Snapchat that showed her being raped.

Even worse, Harris could be heard encouraging the sexual assault while calling the victim derogatory names.

Harris, who has three children, was arrested and charged with non-consensual dissemination of sexual images. Harris is currently in the Cook County Jail on $150,000 bail.

Harris is no stranger to law enforcement, having past convictions of battery, reckless conduct, resisting arrest and aggravated battery to a peace officer.

At this time, the man or men who were allegedly filmed raping the victim have not been identified or charged.
