Christian CostelloOKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Christian Costello, the son of State Labor Commissioner Mark Costello, has been accused of stabbing his father to death in a parking lot following an argument inside a restaurant.

According to reports, Christian arranged a meeting with his father at a Braum’s restaurant Sunday evening to work out a dispute the two had earlier that morning. Obviously, things did not go well.

Witnesses say the two men got into a heated argument before Christian, 26, stabbed his father with a knife. Mark got up and walked around the restaurant seeking help before walking out to the parking lot. That’s when Christian attacked his father again, stabbing him multiple times in the head and neck.

Other people at the restaurant intervened and used belts to hold Christian at the scene until police arrived. Mark, a married father of five, was found dying in a car in the parking lot. Despite attempts to save him, Mark would be pronounced dead after being transported to the hospital.

Christian was taken into custody and is currently looking at a charge of first-degree murder, as well as a possible death sentence. He also seems to be suffering from either mental illness, drug problems, or a bit of both.

In 2012, Christian pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor assault offense after driving under the influence and assaulting a cop. Last year he was charged with outraging public decency after a woman reported that he was exposing himself outside the window of a middle school. When police arrived and confronted Christian, he was sitting in the grass eating bird feathers and dandelions.

In both of these cases, it has been alleged that the charges, as well as the fact that he was the oldest son of Mark Costello, were swept under the rug.
