It Was All A Lie!

Paducah, KY- Like many parents, it just kills me when my kids get sick. Every time, I wish I could whip out a magic wand and make their aches and pains disappear. I cannot even begin to imagine the enormous amount of helplessness some parents feel when they learn their child has a tragic illness and may die. The courage and strength it takes for them to somehow get through each day without breaking down amazes me. In January, Karen Clark informed a news crew at the Ronald McDonald House at Kosair Children’s Hospital that her 12-year old daughter was dying of cancer. “We’ve been here at least every month since last January,” said Karen Clark to the reporter. “It’s been a hard road but she’s making it. Johnstown, PA–‘Drop and give me 20′ was a phrase often used in 19-year-old Dawn Schrock’s household. She commanded her mentally disabled younger brother to do push-ups when he talked back or played his music too loud. PushPush reviews-ups were probably the kindest punishment she doled out to him. Withholding food may be the worst. At 6′5″, her 18-year-old brother weighed all of 118 pounds. Her brother wasn’t the only victim of abuse and neglect…her 6-month-old baby boy also suffered.
