HICKORY, North Carolina - When four kids became too loud in their third-grade classroom at Southwest Elementary, their substitute teacher employed a rather asinine form of punishment. She made the kids stand up in class then tied them together with a jump rope. Using the rope as a leash, she led the crying kids down a ramp into a playground where she left them for half an hour. She told them she wanted them to know what jail felt like. Obviously, parents are pissed. The Hickory City School District said the substitute, who has been in the school system since 2004, acted in an inappropriate manner and no longer works in the schools there. I do not agree with what the teacher did, but man that punishment is WEAK when compared to the shit they would do to you in the ’70s. CLAYTON COUNTY, Georgia – Marcia Killebrew told reporters that her 16-year-old son was called out of the classroom by his substitute math teacher, Randolph Forde. Her son says that Forde asked if he was gay. This angered her son, and the next day he and Forde got into a verbal argument. Some time later, the Mundy’s Mill high school teacher told a student that he had a hit on someone and needed him to take care of it. When the student asked who it was, “the teacher held a piece of paper up with the victim’s name on it,” said Otis Willis III of the Clayton County Police Department. Killebrew’s son became alarmed and immediately told her. “He says, ‘Ma, you’re not going to believe this but Mr. Forde offered another student money to kill me,’” she said. The student told administrators about Forde’s questioning of his sexuality and the following argument, but nothing was done. It wasn’t until now that Forde was placed on paid administrative leave. New York — During an English class at The Bronx School of Law and Finance popular English teacher Greg Van Voorhis gave students studying for the Regents Exam the graphic and sexually explicit short story “Guts” written by one of my favorite authors, Chuck Palahniuk. Fans of Palahniuk are very aware of the short story as it is engraved in our brains forever and ever. For those of you who have not read it, you can do so here – but be warned – it is delightfully sickening. Anyway, when the Department of Education found out about this, they removed Van Voorhis from the classroom and re-assigned him to an administrative office, pending the outcome of an investigation. Boise, Idaho – Kyle Cameron Dennis, 37, is a math teacher and varsity boys basketball coach at Capital High School who has been arrested on a misdemeanor charge of obscene live conduct in a public place. Basically, he got busted “knowingly engaged in obscene conduct…by manipulating his penis with his hands while walking around a store with an erection.” If this had been a one time thing, I would be crying foul. But Kyle seems to find himself in this situation a lot. Once in February of this year, and twice in June. These stores included a Costco as well as a Walmart. Cleveland – That’s right, Dreamins, I am leaving this Popsicle stand and going to go apply at Saint Joseph Academy in Cleveland. Looks like they have two teacher’s positions open and I could not think of a better working environment. Seems that one teacher has been let go because of sexual misconduct, and the other let go because they knew about the relationship and did not report it. But from reading the comments, the rumors about this teacher where well known so I can only assume that this type of activity is encouraged? But others are not so easily quick to believe the charges. “I just don’t think it ever happened, because I don’t think any father would do something that they wouldn’t want some guy doing to their daughter,” says 2008 St. Joseph graduate, Jillian Zarefoss. Reedley, California – Wanna know what is worse than having a middle school teacher get busted for possessing child pornography? Having two of them getting busted at the same time. An investigation was started three weeks ago when investigators were informed of child porn being traded on the internet. This lead them to the home of Vincent Chavez and Samuel Garza. Both taught at General Grant Middle School. Vincent Chavez taught 6th grade English and Language Arts and Garza was a substitute teacher. They were both arrested Tuesday and but are both now out on bail. What makes this story even worse than it is already is the fact that these two men are married. So no doubt their actions will be some nice ammo for those who falsely believe that all homosexuals are automatically pedophiles. And if it couldn’t get more interesting, Vincent Chavez is the son of Pete Chavez. Pete is the Mayor of Reedley and the Chief of Investigations for the Fresno County District Attorney’s Office. Meridian, ID – Allow me to introduce Ashley Beach – a 37-year-old married mother of three and a teacher at Meridian Middle School. Yes, Ashley wears many hats – aside from teaching math and science, she dabbles a bit in sex edumacation. Not in the classroom, mind you, but in the bushes. With her *ahem* star pupil, a 13-year-old boy. Ashley was busted at about 9:30 Thursday evening after some neighborhood folk witnessed a bit of suspicious activity coming from a certain bush. When the police arrived on scene, they found Ashley and the teen laying on the ground, partially concealed by bushes. When asked exactly what the hell they were up to back there, both came up with a different story. Further investigation revealed that Ashley has been sexually involved with the kid, a former student, since April. It is believed that some of the sexual contact took place on school grounds and it was also revealed that the two have been sharing naughty pics via text messages. Tsk, tsk, tsk. Silly Ashley! Don’t you know 13-year-old boys have cooties? Gross. Ashley Jo Beach was charged with lewd conduct with a child under 16 and slapped with a $300,000 bond. Ouch. Lake Mary, FL-The father of a 21-year old disabled man is being accused of choking and beating his son. The son, who suffers from cerebral palsy, told the school and his mother this last May that his father, 57-year old John Giza, became angry with him when he urinated in his pants. The son said that his father stripped him of his clothes and began beating him in the head with his soiled underwear. His father then shoved a rag into his mouth which made it difficult for him to breathe. The school officials contacted DCF after talking with the son and DCF alerted authorities of the allegations.
