Woodruff, SC – Lacey Denise Lamb, 28 years old and 21-weeks pregnant, was shot dead by a police officer while she was reportedly attempting to run him over with a car.
Officer William T. Knight pulled the vehicle over at about 1:40 PM yesterday on Jamie’s Creek Drive. The reason for the traffic stop is unclear, but once the car was stopped, the driver, 33-year-old Matthew Drake Simmons, reportedly exited and began running.
Officer Knight gave chase, at which point Lamb, the only passenger, allegedly got behind the wheel and put the car into motion in an attempt to run the officer down, presumably in an effort to allow Simmons to escape.
Knight drew his weapon and fired, lethally wounding her. Lamb was airlifted to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, but neither she nor her unborn child survived.
Simmons was arrested and charged with driving under suspension, third or subsequent offense, according to online jail records. He is currently awaiting a bond hearing. It’s unclear at this point if he is the father of the deceased fetus.…

STOCKTON, CA – Police believe a California marriage counselor who specializes in anger management killed his ex-wife, her sister, and her elderly aunt before turning the gun on himself.
On Monday, police were investigating reports of a shooting at a Stockton home where they found found 64-year Kathleen Arata dead from a gunshot wound. Witnesses told police the shooter was Kathleen’s brother-in-law, Colin McGrattan, and that he was driving a silver minivan.
While still at that scene, police received another shooting call. This one was at an senior assisted living center, and Colin’s minivan was parked outside in the parking lot.
Inside one of the rooms at the facility, police would find the body of 88-year-old Chizuko Kaneishi, Kathleen’s aunt. Colin was lying nearby, dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Outside in the van police would find Kathleen’s sister, 57-year-old Jacklyn Arata, wrapped in a tarp and dead from a gunshot wound. Jacklyn is Colin’s ex-wife and the pair have two sons together.
No word on why Colin decided to kill his ex-wife and her extended family, but Colin’s roommate said that it may have something to do with money.…

FREEDOM, PA – A 9-year-old girl attending a Halloween party was shot by a relative who mistakenly thought the girl was a skunk.
New Sewickley Police Chief Ronald Leindecker said the girl was at a Halloween party Saturday wearing a black costume and a black hat with white tassel. At around 8:30 that evening, the girl strayed away from the two to three dozen guests at the home and hid on the edge of a hill near the home.
Unfortunately for her, a male relative at the party thought she was a skunk, and he really does not like skunks. The unidentified man grabbed a shotgun and fired, hitting the “skunk” in the shoulder, arm, back and neck.
She was reportedly conscious and talking as she was airlifted to the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh where she currently remains in the intensive car unit. Leindecker says the relative hadn’t been drinking at the time of the shooting, and he doesn’t know if any charges will be filed against him.
I’m not sure how big skunks get in Pennsylvania, but where I live they never get much bigger than an average cat.…

DALLAS , TX — – According to police, a woman opened fire on a pair of burglars who had broken into her home and only one of the burglars lived to talk about it.
According to the Dallas Police Department, 47-year-old Eric Ford and 19-year-old Isaiah Phillip Williams kicked in the front door of a home owned by Charles Brown. As they charged their way upstairs, they met Brown’s 21-year-old daughter who had been sleeping in an upstairs bedroom.
Before I go on, here’s a little background. This house has been the target of burglars several times in the past. In Jan 2008, a car was stolen from the driveway, In Dec of that year, someone broke into the house and stole a CD player, diamond rings, necklaces and a digital camera.
In response to these burglaries, Brown taught his daughter how to shoot a gun and told her that it should the house alarm ever go off, be prepared. New Orleans, LA – This happened last week, but it has been siting in draft for days and I am tired of looking at it. A 19-year-old LSU student has been charged with attempted murder after police say she tried to kill her mother for inheritance money.
Last week, 52-year-old Sherri Boover received a knock on her door at 4.30am. When she looked through the peephole, she was greeted by her smiling daughter, Nicole Boover. But when she opened the door, Nicole pulled out a handgun and aimed it at her. The quick thinking mother immediately slammed the door shut before Nicole fired several rounds into the door and ran off.
Uninjured, Sherri called police and informed them they could probably find Nicole at the LSU dorms where she was currently staying. Outside of the dorm, police would find Nicole’s car with 18-year-old Nathan Yuhas, a friend and classmate of Nicole’s, sitting inside it. They would find Nicole in her dorm room.

HUNTSVILLE, TX – Police in Texas say a 10-year-old boy was at home when he shot his sister and then fatally shot himself.
Sheriff’s deputies said that sometime late Thursday, Coby Tucker walked into his 15-year-old sister’s bedroom and shot her multiple times with a small caliber handgun before turning the gun on himself. The siblings’ father was at work at the time, but their mother was downstairs and called 911 after hearing the first shots.
Coby and his sister, Ashley, were flown to the hospital were Coby was pronounced dead. Ashley underwent surgery and is currently listed in good condition. At this time, police do not have a motive. “We have not been able to talk to the girl because she was in surgery this morning,” Detective Greg Williams said. “It is still early in the investigation, and we are not sure why this happened.”
Police did say they think that Cody got the handgun from a locked gun safe in the home and that, at this time, no charges will be filed against the parents. “There is no reason for us to believe that this was a case of negligence by the parents,” Walker County Sheriff Clint McRae said.…

NEW FAIRFIELD, CT – A popular teacher in Connecticut shot a masked prowler next door to his home only to learn he had just killed his teenage son.
Sometime around 1 a.m. Thursday, Jeffrey Giuliano got a call from his sister, who lives next door, informing him that she thought someone was trying to break into her home.
Armed with a handgun, Giuliano walked over to investigate and encountered someone in his sister’s driveway wearing a ski mask and brandishing a knife. Giuliano shot and killed the masked suspect when they made a move towards him.
When police arrived at the scene, they found Giuliano sitting in the grass and the suspect’s dead body lying sprawled in the driveway. Police lifted up the mask and revealed the suspect to be Giuliano’s 15-year-old son, Tyler Giuliano. Early reports stated Giuliano had removed the mask and realized he had shot his son before police arrived, but those reports turned out to be incorrect.

STILLWATER, OK – Yesterday, 13-year-old Cade Poulos came to Stillwater Junior High School dressed as the Batman villain Two Face, then used a handgun to kill himself in a hallway full of fellow students.
Poulos was in the crowded hallway at around 7:50 a.m. Wednesday. It was Super-Hero Dress Up Day at the school, and for reasons unknown, Poulos arrived dressed as a villain. It was during a prayer time before the morning bell sounded that Poulos pulled out a handgun and shot himself in the head.
Immediately after the shooting, the school was locked down, students were evacuated, and parents were asked to pick up their children via a district messaging system.
Initial reports were hinting at bullying as the reason for the teen’s decision to commit suicide, possibly because of some statements made on a Facebook memorial. But Stillwater superintendent Ann Caine said the district had no records of Poulos being bullied and his family have also stated that Poulus was not a victim of bullying.

PORT CHARLOTTE, FL. - A teenager in Florida became so enraged that three of his friends refused to smoke synthetic marijuana that he shot all of them with a pellet gun.
Three boys told police they were hanging out at a home with 15-year-old Tybreel Bentley when Bentley started smoking that synthetic weed bullshit. When Bentley offered it to the other three boys, they all refused to partake.
When Bentley kept insisting, one of the teens smacked the joint out of Bentley’s hand. At that point, Bentley reportedly walked out of the room and returned with a pellet gun that he used to open fire on the three teens.

SPANAWAY, WA — A man turned himself into police after his wife and 11-year-old daughter were found shot to death in their home.
Dean Holmes, 40, has been charged with two counts of aggravated first-degree murder after he walked into a police station and admitted to killing his wife, 41-year-old Kristi Holmes, and daughter, 11-year-old Violet Holmes.
After confessing, police were dispatched to his home and could see that Dean was telling the truth when they looked through the window of the master bedroom and saw the lifeless bodies of Kristi and Violet.
Dean told police that at around 6:00 a.m. Tuesday morning, he shot Kristi as she was sleeping. He then woke up Violet and a friend of hers who had spent the night. They got into a car and Dean dropped off Violet’s friend at her house. He then drove around with Violet for a bit before pulling over and shooting her as she slept in the backseat. MASSILLON, OH — A 66-year-old man is facing murder charges after entering a hospital and shooting his wife as she lay in her hospital bed. Police are calling it a possible mercy killing.
Police say that on Saturday, 66-year-old John Wise went to visit is wife of 45 years, Barbara Wise, who was in critical condition at Akron General Medical Center. She had been admitted there after emergency personnel responded to the Wises’ home on July 28. No details on what her condition was, but reports are that for the last few days she was in an “extremely disabled state.”
As John stood by his wife’s hospital bed he removed a handgun he had brought with him and shot his wife. He immediately surrendered to hospital security and was later taken to jail on a charge of attempted aggravated murder.
“The preliminary investigation indicates that in John Wise’s mind, the motive was to end his wife’s suffering,” Captain Zampelli said.

OAKLEY , CA – A 17–year-old has been accused of trying to kill his friend after the two got into a heated argument while on Xbox Live.
Kevin Kemp, 20, says he was chatting with the family friend on Xbox Live when the discussion turned into an argument. The argument was not about a game, but rather a longstanding feud between the two. Fighting words were exchanged and Kemp told the teen to jump if he was feeling froggy.
“I’m like, ‘Bro, if want to do this, come over to my house and we’ll do this right now,’” Kemp said.

WAYNESBORO, Ga. – An 11-year-old boy has pleaded guilty to the shooting death of his father’s girlfriend last December.
The boy was 10-years-old on Dec 30 when he got angry at his father’s girlfriend, 31-year-old Jennifer Albright (pictured), because she had asked him to clean up some dirty diapers. Albright was watching the boy, his younger cousin and her 2-year-old daughter at the time.
In response to Albright’s request, he picked up a 12-gauge shotgun he had received on Christmas then shot Albright in the back as she changed her 2-year-old daughter.
The boy was charged with felony murder and gun possession, both of which he pleaded guilty to the other day. Juvenile Court Judge Willie Saunders sentenced the boy to be held in Augusta Regional Youth Detention Campus until he turns 21, the maximum sentence allowed. The boy can file yearly petitions for early release or reduction in penalty.
His mother, who does not have custody of the boy, didn’t say anything in court but outside she apologized to Albright’s family, who wanted the boy charged as an adult.…

MODESTO, CA - A 68-year-old felony sex crime suspect has died after repeatedly stabbing himself in the neck before being shot by police earlier this month.
On July 12, David Mendez was visited by a uniformed officer and Detective Steve Anderson, who works on the Special Victims Unit. Mendez was a suspect in a sex crime and Anderson had interviewed Mendez previously. He was there today, with the other officer, to arrest Mendez.
Mendez answered the door and briefly spoke with the two men. He said he knew he would be arrested after they had completed their investigation and that he had written a confession. Mendez then walked to a nearby desk and retrieved a 12-inch “diver’s knife” that he used to repeatedly stab himself in the neck. According to Lt. Rick Armendariz, Mendez “repeatedly thrust the knife in and out, holding the knife with both his hands.”
Refusing to obey the officer’s demand to stop doing that, Mendez was Tased. This did not prove to be effective and Mendez continued to stab himself.…

Troy, NY – Police arrested 17-year-old Trinity Copeland for fatally shooting her father in the head with a rifle after the two argued over the unauthorized use of a credit card. In a statement to police, Copeland claims her father told her to do it.
Trinity’s father, 47-year-old Harland Copeland, had been drinking when he approached his daughter over some unauthorized debit card charges. Her father complained to the police about the charges, stating he knew where they were made but not who made them. He told Trinity police were going to look at the surveillance tapes from that day.
Knowing that they would see it was her that took the ATM card, Trinity confessed to the $154 in purchases. The reaction she received was a little more then she was bargaining for. She says her father told her that she could kill him or he’d kill her then himself.

DALLAS, TX – A man in Texas is facing a handful of charges after a woman and two young children were injured when he accidentally fired his handgun inside a Walmart.
According to police, 23-year-old Todd Canady was having issues pulling out his wallet in the checkout line inside a Walmart and accidentally discharged his Springfield .40-caliber semi-automatic pistol he had hidden there.
The bullet grazed Canady’s buttocks and struck the cement floor. The resulting debris struck a woman and two children who were standing nearby but luckily for everyone, they were not seriously injured.
Canady ran from the store when an off-duty police officer tried to question him about his idiocy. He was arrested after a short chase and found to have a valid concealed handgun license, but was still charged with injury to a child, a felony, and misdemeanor charges of assault and evading arrest.
Kudos to Canady for obtaining a concealed handgun license so he could legally carry, but that means he took the required gun safety class and was fully aware of just how stupid it is to carry a loaded handgun in this fashion.…

MILFORD, CT – A 67-year-old homeowner sent a naked burglar to the hospital after shooting the intruder in the chest.
Gerald Mirto (pictured) told police that he heard a noise outside his (really, really nice) home and suspected someone was trying to break in. He armed himself and while investigating, he saw that a screen had been pushed in a window at the rear of his home and that 25-year-old Benjamin Prue, who was naked, was trying to get inside.
Once in the home, Prue charged Mirto, biting him on the arm and hitting him in the head. Mirto tried to fire a warning shot in the air but the gun jammed. Mirto was able to break free from Prue and ran upstairs to call 911 and to retrieve a second gun. When he came back down, Prue was still in the home and was attempting to steal a television.
Mirto says he pleaded with Prue to get out of his house but that, once again, Prue began assaulting him.…

SHINGLETOWN, Calif. - A Northern California man is facing trial for allegedly shooting his son because he didn’t like his karaoke singing.
William Oller Sr., 70, has been ordered to stand trial for the January shooting his 50-year-old son, William Oller Jr., after getting aggravated at his son’s karaoke signing of a Kenny Chesney song.
Oller Sr. was visiting his son when he became angry over the music and the two got into an argument. Oller Sr. was heard saying, “I’m going to shut you up” multiple times before going out to his vehicle and retrieving a handgun.
His son followed him outside and the two got into a struggle over the firearm, resulting in Oller Jr. being shot multiple times and Oller Sr. suffering a gunshot to the leg. According to officials, Oller Sr. told police that his son hit him first and in response, he “shot the shit out of him.”
Oller Sr. was arrested and charged with attempted murder and assault, both of which he pleaded not guilty to in February.…

Aurora, CO – Horrific story out of Colorado as some dickhead walked into a midnight showing of the latest Batman movie and opened fire on the audience, killing 12 people and wounding at least 38.
The details have been coming in quickly since it happened, so some of the details I use in this article may change. But reports are during the showing of “The Dark Knight Rises” at the Century Aurora 16 theater, a man wearing a bulletproof vest and a riot or gas mask kicked in one of the exit doors and stepped inside while the movie was running.
After walking in, he tossed two tear gas canisters into an audience who didn’t know if what was happening was real or a stunt. They figured out the situation quickly after the canisters exploded and the man opened fire on the audience, shooting people at random as he walked along the rows of the theater.
“He looked so calm when he did it, it was so scary,” one witness said.

Mobile, AL – A 40-year-old mother of two was gunned down in front of her home Saturday after she confronted a group of men in a car speeding through her neighborhood.
The dark gray or green Honda Civic or Altima with dark, tinted windows drove down Racine Avenue Saturday afternoon and almost hit Wendy Fisher’s dog as they sped past her home. Angry, Fisher yelled at the driver who stopped the car about 30 yards away.
Fisher’s teen daughter, who witnessed the entire incident, say that at that point a black man with short hair got out of the car and someone opened fire on her mother, striking her several times in the chest.
She isn’t sure if the man who got out of the car was the shooter or one of the two or three men inside the vehicle. The man got back in the car and fled the scene, leaving Fisher to die. She was still conscious after being shot, but was in shock. Fisher was rushed to the hospital but would die from her injuries.…
