ORANGE COUNTY, Florida – All this started when parents found out that the mobile home park located near their kid’s bus stop housed 91 registered sex offenders. They tried to get the bus stop moved, but that effort failed. SexSEX offenders cannot live near schools, churches and day cares – but there is nothing that says they can’t live by a bus stop. The Orange County School District checked and state there are no ‘conditional release’ offenders living in the trailer park – meaning none are barred from living within 1,000 feet of a school. Orange Park, Florida – On Monday afternoon, Somer Thompson, 7, was walking home from Grove Park Elementary with a group of kids that included her twin brother and 10-year-old sister. After getting into an argument with some of the group, she began running home. She has not been seen since. An Amber Alert has since been issued. Thompson is white, 3 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 65 pounds. She has brown hair that was in a pony tail and was wearing a cranberry colored jumpsuit with pink stripes and a black T-shirt underneath. PERRY COUNTY, Pa. - Eight teenagers have been charged with possessing child pornography after they were caught sexting – or for you technological lingo impaired, recording sex acts on their cell phones. Administrators at Susquenita High School caught three students with cell phones containing video and pics of other juveniles performing sex acts on each other. Currently, the law in Pennsylvania will not require these juveniles to register as sex offenders. But that may not last long as Pennsylvania is in the process adhering to federal law that would require juveniles found guilty of child pornography to register as sex offenders. If that isn’t controversial enough for people who think this is ridiculous, the law can be applied retroactively and applied to past cases. Phoenix, AZ – Thursday was quite a day for Salvador Medina. At 9:00 a.m. that morning, he was released from prison after serving time for sexual abuse/dangerous crimes against children. Lake Forest Park, WA- On July 21, a 15-year old girl met with 18-year old Victor Casarez Jr., who was a friend of hers from school, and they went to Casarez’s home where he lived with his father. During the visit, the girl drank a glass of juice and then the world went black. Hours later, she regained consciousness and found herself on a bed with her friend’s hairy pot-bellied 60-year old father, Victor Casarez Sr., on top of her. Chicago, IL- Considering the criminal record of RSO Michael Barnes, 49, I do not understand why any woman in her right mind would want to have this man in their life, let alone, leave their child in his care. In 1980, Barnes was convicted of molesting and murdering a 13-year old child. That year, he was sentenced to 4 years for indecent liberties with a child and 28 years for first-degree murder. Then in 1995, Barnes was once again sentenced to 10 years in prison for unlawful use of a weapon by a felon. Sounds like the only thing this guy is good at is costing tax payers money while he continues to prove he’s not worth a damn dime of it. Somehow, this career criminal was released on parole in May 2004 for God knows what, overcrowding in the prison, good behavior, ignorance on the parole board, and once again he is facing more prison time for severely burning a 2-year old child.
