Monte Ayres Raped His Elderly Girlfriend To Death

Indianapolis, IN – For years, Monte Ayres, 46, has had an on-again-off-again, and sometimes volatile relationship with his 80-year-old girlfriend, Kathleen Vargas. The relationship began to blossom when Kathleen hired him to cut her grass. Unfortunately, over the past few years, the police had been called to the residence on reports of domestic violence. On more than one occasion, Kathleen had Monte forcibly removed from her home – only to take him back time and time again. The dangerous relationship came to an end on July 18th when Monte sexually assaulted Kathleen. He didn’t just rape her, he violently raped her with some type of object, severely damaging her spleen in the process. (I don’t know about you, but that makes my innards hurt just thinking about it). After the attack on the 18th, Kathleen managed to escape the home she shared with the asshole and seek help from a neighbor. Over the course of the month, Kathleen was unable to recover from the ruptured spleen and her condition slowly degraded- she died Wednesday night. Initially charged with attempted murder, aggravated battery, rape, criminal deviate conduct, and resisting law enforcement, he is now looking at a murder charge pending the autopsy results. Lynn Haven, FL–She was an adorable little girl. Her favorite book was Humpty-Dumpty. She loved to watch Elmo on TV. She like to be near her grandpa when he worked in the garage, she would sit out there with him and pound away on her little toy workbench. She liked to sneak into the fridge and eat apples, her favorite fruit. After having a little nibble, she would put the apple back. She had a beautiful smile and a mischevious sparkle in her eyes. Little Haleigh was just 2-years-old when she was brutally and savagely beaten to death. She was killed because she wanted some juice and cookies.
