A Tongue A Day Keeps The Gossip At Bay?

Longmont, Colorado – I know squat about Santeria, and I am too damn lazy and uninterested to research it, but, due to some recent lip flappin’ and tongue waggin’ going on, I thought this story would make a lovely addition to the front page. Last Saturday, Longmont police were called out on a report of a suspicious package that had been found buried in a small hole in a rural cornfield. The item was wrapped in black plastic and secured with yellow nylon ropes. Playing it safe, the LPD called in the bomb squad and had the item x-rayed. Satisfied there was nothing in the package that would go boom, they unwrapped it. It was a cow tongue. Oddly enough, the tongue had been stitched up -  when the sutures were untied, authorities found some pepper, a picture, and a note written in Spanish. Officers believe that it may have been part of a ritual, either a Santeria ritual or a hoodoo ritual. I have no friggin’ idea what the difference is between the two, and again, I’m not gonna look. Anyway, it is believed this particular cow tongue was used in some kind of shut yo’ trap ritual. Meaning, whoever procured the tongue filled it with pepper, a note, and a pic, trudged out to a rural cornfield, dug a small hole and buried the nasty thing, really wanted someone to quit gossiping and shut the fuck up. (Personally, I’ve always found a quick punch to the throat will do the same thing). Authorities are trying to identify the person in the photograph so they can warn them about possible crazy-ass cow tongue hoodoo rituals. Lucille Hamilton Paid $1500 For Voodoo-Herbal Hair Then Died

Gloucester Township, NJ Once again, Haitian Voodoo earns a place on the Front Page of the Dreamin’ Demon. A few weeks ago we covered a story of the mother who, while practicing Loa, poured a ring of rum on the floor, lit it, doused her daughter’s head and pushed her through the circle. Researching the various “religious rituals”, it’s extremely hard to take some of it seriously. I mean, how the hell could a mother set her child on fire and think the “gods”, “spirits”, or “whatever” are thinking it’s all cool? AnimalAnimal reviews sacrifices, or the theory behind them, giving thanks for the life that’s been given for nourishment…the sacred meat is much like the Kosher meat of the Jewish religion (or so I’ve read many times), isn’t so far fetched when explained like that. But the latest, a group of 7 people paying $1500 apiece for a “ritual cleansing” is a bit pricey for a wet head, some herbs, a few cuts, and one death. [Read more...]

Yenitza Colichon Introduced Her Daughter to Black Magic

Patterson, NJ – “Palo Mayombe” is a form of black magic that’s viewed as the queen mother of everything evil. It’s origin is set back in the 15th Century in the Congo Basin of Central Africa. It appears as though Palo Mayombe is based on two pillars:  The veneration of the spirits of ancestors and the belief in natural powers (Nature). Through all the research I did, I really couldn’t find anything that would make me fear this “religion” and a few things I ran across just seemed downright funny – like them selling “Do It Yourself spell kits” for $50 over the Internet. I know gambling is a problem for some, but a spell kit for it? So yeah, I found nothing really “black magic’ish” that would make me raise my eyebrows…except for these three people’s interpretation of the “religion” and the ritual they performed on this 7 year-old girl.
