Maria And Gabriel Left Child In Sticky Situation

At around 6 am Tuesday, Maria Palaez, age 29, called 911 and reported that her child was not breathing. Emergency personnel arrived to find 2 year old Rene Torres dead at the scene due to asphyxiation. His parents admitted to duct taping him up as a form of punishment and also said that they had taped his mouth occasionally. Though police are keeping the details of the case quiet, they have arrested both the mother and live-in boyfriend, 32-year-old Gabriel Diaz, due to the “suspicious nature of the call” and other evidence found in the course of the investigation.
