UK - The name Steven Barker may not ring a bell with a lot of you, but some of you will surely remember the crimes he is in prison for. We didn’t cover it here as we were not messing around with crimes committed across the pond, but he was one of those convicted of the 2007 torture murder of his stepson, 17-month old Peter Connelly (Baby P, Baby Peter). He was also charged with raping a 2-year-old girl. The abuse Peter suffered is more than any person should have ever endured, and he was failed by every single organization put in place to protect him. But this story is not about him, it is about Steven Barker and what happened to him in prison the other day. Hated by the other inmates because of his crimes, one of his fellow prisoners gave him a face-full of “prison napalm” – a concoction of boiling sugar water. CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Early Tuesday morning, 4-year-old Hayden Wright grabbed a 12-ounce beer from his grandfather’s cooler and walked out of his house while his mother slept. He then knocked on a neighbors door with part of the beer consumed. What was discussed between the boy and the people who opened the door is not known, but what is known is that Hayden then snuck into a neighbor’s house through an unlocked front door, and stole five wrapped Christmas gifts. One of the gifts contained a little girl’s dress which Hayden then put on. And that’s how police found the little boy wandering the neighborhood at 2 a.m. – drunk and wearing a dress. His mother, 21-year-old April Wright, has an explanation for her boy’s actions. Wright says Hayden was only out trying to find his dad who is in jail. “He runs away trying to find his father,” she said. “He wants to get in trouble so he can go to jail because that’s where his daddy is.” How fucked up is that? UK – That statement may be the last words 19-year-old Rosimeiri Boxall ever heard as she lay dying after jumping from a 3rd-story window. They were shouted by 15-year-old Hatice Can after she and 19-year-old Kemi Ajose beat and bullied Boxall inside the apartment they shared together. Can had become angry over a boy Boxall was seeing and after drinking, began verbally and physically assaulting Boxall along with Ajose. Some of this was captured on cell phone video as Boxall was slapped and punched, her hair pulled and hairspray sprayed at her face. Out of fear and desperation, she climbed out of the kitchen window and asked the pair if they wanted her to jump. One of the two girls, or both, told her yes. Can has now been sentenced to 8-years in prison and Ajose confined to a psychiatric hospital indefinitely. “This was cruel, abject bullying,” Judge Peter Thornton said. “It was ugly, vicious and repeated.” Ajose and Can are a nasty pair, Ajose busted for theft in and assaulting a police officer in 2009, and Can busted for criminal damage in 2008. In court, also revealed that Ajose had been bullying weaker women while in custody at Holloway prison. “You tried to get several of them to hang themselves with their bedding,” the judge revealed. SACRAMENTO – Here is a nice warning for all you guys out there surfing porn. Be REAL careful where you get it. Now days, there are sooo many free places for decent porn that there is no excuse to be paying for it or using applications like Limeware. Just ask 22-year-old Matthew White. Two years ago he says he was downloading porn via Limeware when he found that some of the images contained child pornography. He immediately deleted the pics and continued looking at his porn. One year later, the FBI wanted to look at Matt’s computer, which him and his family allowed. The Feds didn’t find anything at first, but later found the images Matt had deleted. Now facing 20 years in prison for possessing child pornography, Matt decided to plead guilty hoping to get a three and a half year sentence. He will also serve 10 years probation and have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life. [Read more...]

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY – On Monday, 64-year-old detention deputy Kenneth Moon was inside a jail pod with 62 other inmates at Orient Road Jail. Without warning, 24-year-old inmate Douglas Burden attacked him. After charging Moon and bringing him to the ground, Burden began choking him from behind. That’s when other inmates stepped in. One inmate took Moon’s radio and called for emergency assistance while others pulled Burden off the deputy. Burden was in jail on DUI and drug charges and now faces battery on a law enforcement officer charges. No word on what prompted the attack, but read on to see video of it. [Read more...]

Goldsboro, North Carolina — Michael Earl Ricks, 47, has been convicted of armed robbery, common law robbery and writing worthless checks. He has recently been released from prison and luckily, Mary McDuffie and Christy Hughes let him come live with them in the trailer they rented. After a few hours of drinking, the two women got into an argument with Ricks and threatened to kick him out. Ricks became upset and took a trip to his employer, Best Sand and Gravel, and returned with a front-end loader bulldozer. While one of the women was on the phone with 911, Ricks used the bulldozer to destroy the trailer. You can listen to the moment he hit the trailer here. After he was done with the trailer, he then chased the two women as they ran to their landlord’s home. The women were not injured, and Ricks was arrested at the scene. He is being held under a $1,500 bond at the Wayne County jail on Monday, charged with damage to real property. [Read more...]

INDIANTOWN, Florida – 45-year-old Terry Bell was housed in the Martin Correctional Institution serving a life sentence for sexual battery on a victim under the age of 12. His cellmate was 29-year-old Ricky Silva who was serving life in prison for robbery, carjacking and kidnapping. At some point Bell thought it would be pretty cool idea to jack-off to a photograph of one of Silva’s underage relatives. Silva caught him doing it and was not real happy about it. At around 2:40 a.m Wednesday, a corrections officer was conducting his hourly cell checks when he found Bell dead on the bottom bunk with a black shoestring wrapped tightly around his neck. Chicago, IL- Considering the criminal record of RSO Michael Barnes, 49, I do not understand why any woman in her right mind would want to have this man in their life, let alone, leave their child in his care. In 1980, Barnes was convicted of molesting and murdering a 13-year old child. That year, he was sentenced to 4 years for indecent liberties with a child and 28 years for first-degree murder. Then in 1995, Barnes was once again sentenced to 10 years in prison for unlawful use of a weapon by a felon. Sounds like the only thing this guy is good at is costing tax payers money while he continues to prove he’s not worth a damn dime of it. Somehow, this career criminal was released on parole in May 2004 for God knows what, overcrowding in the prison, good behavior, ignorance on the parole board, and once again he is facing more prison time for severely burning a 2-year old child. Saginaw, MI- Mark E. White, 50, was paroled on June 16 after serving some time in prison for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and violating a previous parole. After being free for a little over three weeks, he must have either gotten really homesick for Bubba’s lovin’ arms or he’s just too stupid to stay out of trouble. Around 2:30 p.m. on July 8, White allegedly robbed the Citizens Bank in Saginaw without thinking of a getaway plan. UPDATE 10/17/08 – Jesse James Campbell has been convicted of murdering his mother and will spend life in prison. Jesse beat Cindy Jo Campbell with a five pound weight, slit her throat with a steak knife, and read the Bible to her as she bled to death. At his trial, Jesse Campbell tried to pin the murder on his girlfriend, but his journal entries discussed how he’d like to kill his mom with a dull steak knife. He won’t be getting out soon.
Houtzdale, PA — Early Thursday morning, Jesse James Campbell, 20, beat his mother in the face with a five pound weight, choked her, slashed her wrists, cut her throat, then read the Bible to her as she choked on her own blood and died. Cindy Jo Coleman, 49, was found dead in the apartment she shared with her son just hours later. Ridgeville, South Carolina -Â Sometimes, a story comes along that just warms my frozen impish heart, and this is one of ‘em.
At McDougall Correctional Institution in Ridgeville, the inmates don’t like sex offenders so much. But apparently they do kinda like one of their female guards.  On Friday night around midnight, convicted sex offender George Salisbury cornered a female guard in a dormitory control room and began doing what sex offenders do.
