Two Teens Ran Over After They Fall Asleep While Sunbathing In Middle Of Road
May 2, 2012 at 11:26 am by Morbid
ECONOMY, PA – Two 13-year-old girls had to be airlifted to the hospital after they fell asleep while sunbathing in the road and were run over by a passing car.
For whatever reason, Samantha Schermanhorn and Kaylie George decided that they should work on their tan in the middle of a rural road. Unfortunately, they both fell asleep and did not hear the approaching car being driven by a 19-year-old who, just as unfortunately, did not see the two girls sleeping in the road.
The driver had just turned on the road the girls were sleeping on after having stopped at a stop sign. After he turned the girls into a pair of screaming speed bumps, 911 was called. They remained conscious throughout the ordeal and were able to explain what had happened and why they were in the road.
Both Schermanhorn and George were airlifted to the hospital suffering from lacerations to their ears, scalp and other areas. They were listed in fair condition and are both expected to be ok.
Police questioned the teen who ran over the girls, a cousin of one of the victim’s, but he was later released.…

Bethlehem, PA - After an unnamed 17-year-old driver hit a bicyclist and attempted to flee, his quick apprehension by a city bus driver and another motorist was caught on tape.
Bicyclist Frank Pavlick, 50, was hit Monday afternoon by the teen driver while riding in the northbound lanes of the Fahy Bridge.
“The … guy didn’t even try to pass me,” Pavlick said. “It was an explosion, literally. The tire exploded, the rim exploded.”
Video shows that immediately after the impact, the car driver sped off. Up ahead was a LANTA municipal bus. The bus driver, seeing the accident behind him, maneuvered his vehicle to stop the fleeing driver. A second driver then boxed him in from behind after checking to see if Pavlick was ok.
Bethlehem Police Commissioner Jason Schiffer and Mayor John Callahan honored the two men responsible for detaining the hit-and-run driver. Those men, Richard Gubish Jr., 43, and Jud Smull, 17, were commended for their quick thinking. Pavlick, the rider, expressed his gratitude to both men.
“These guys, I’ve been waiting to meet and say thanks in public and in private,” Pavlick said during remarks.…

Tunkhannock, PA - A Pennsylvania man has been sentenced to 50-to-100 years in prison for sexually abusing 4 underage girls and an underage boy.
Vincent Clark, 42, had been found guilty by a jury on Dec. 16 for 34 sex-related charges for crimes that occurred between 2006 and 2009.
The victims – who are now between the ages of 8 and 15 – were all at the sentencing hearing. The children had testified that the assaults happened in Clark’s home, in his tractor trailer, and on his all-terrain vehicle.
“These children [are] not who they were meant to grow up as. Their souls are completely different,” a victim’s mother said.
During the trial, a member of the Pennsylvania Sexual Offenders Assessment Board said that Clark declined to participate in his own psychological assessment. She instead used victim forensic interviews, police affidavits, and prior criminal information to determine that Clark suffered from pedophilia that was acquired and/or congenital. This resulted in Clark being sentenced as a sexually violent predator.
Clark’s oldest victim – a 15-year-old girl – reportedly began to cry while addressing the judge at the sentencing hearing.…

New Holland, PA - Police in Pennsylvania have charged a 16-year-old girl after she was reportedly discovered to have more than 350 images of herself engaging in or simulating sexual acts on her school issued computer.
The girl also reportedly had additional videos of herself and 13 videos of other underage children engaged in similar behavior.
“[I am] shocked that that could happen in a public school,” stated Carrie Hantranft, a mother of another Garden Spot High School student. “As parents we need to make sure that the teachers are doing everything they can to make sure that the kids are monitored,” added Hantranft.
“I guess I never really gave it that much thought that somebody would have something like that on there,” another mother, Valerie Muttik, commented.
The 16-year-old has been charged with two counts of possessing obscene and other sexual materials. Additional charges against Garden Spot High School parents for felony cluelessness are, presumably, still pending.…

LOWER ALLEN TOWNSHIP, PA – A man in Pennsylvania is facing assault charges after he took his frustration a bit too far and punched a woman several times following a road rage incident.
Police say that last Tuesday, 44-year-old Stephen Kramer got pissed after he was cut off in traffic by a 31-year-old woman. He was so pissed that he followed the woman to a Gold’s Gym and began screaming at her in the parking lot.
As they both entered the gym, witnesses say Kramer punched the lady several times, knocking her to the floor. Other gym members subdued Kramer until police arrived.
The woman was taken to the hospital for facial injuries while Kramer was taken to jail on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, disorderly conduct, harassment and recklessly endangering another person.
Lord knows I have wanted to punch my fair share of women drivers because let’s be honest, you all suck at driving, but so far I have not acted on my impulses. What? Oh, I’m sorry… I didn’t mean you specifically. I meant all the other women drivers.…

March 17, 2012 at 12:46 pm by Jaded
Bethlehem, PA — A 52-year-old man was taken into custody earlier this week after police say his neighbor found him inside her home, watching porn while wearing a pair of her frillies.
The woman told police she left her house for about 25 minutes Monday evening, and when she returned, the panty-clad man known to her as “Mike” was sitting on her couch watching a porn he had apparently brought into the home with him.
Mike, later identified as Michael Zullo, then asked the woman if she “wanted to party” and said that he had brought along some cocaine and marijuana.
Mike must have been butt-ugly — the woman declined his offer and called the police instead.
Denied, Mike removed the party pooper’s panties, tossed ‘em on the floor and exited the home, leaving his “party favors” in her kitchen.
Zullo, who reportedly admitted to being inside the woman’s home without her permission, was booked on charges of criminal trespass, possession of cocaine, possession of a small amount of marijuana, loitering and prowling at night and open lewdness.…

Scranton, PA - On Monday, police investigators were in the home of Waleska Guadalupe, 28, following up on allegations of abuse of her children.
During that visit, police asked Guadalupe’s daughter to show them a belt that the child had claimed Guadalupe had used to hit both her and her brother.
According to a criminal complaint filed in the case, the child went to a closet to retrieve the belt and – upon opening it – ‘reared back’ and told the officer she had seen “something disgusting.”
Inside the closet, police describe finding a sex toy. When police asked Guadalupe about the device, she reportedly told them that ‘she used it with her 15-year-old girlfriend.’
Bzzzzzzzzzt. Wrong answer.
According to court documents, Police immediately contacted the Lackawanna County district attorney’s office and were advised to pursue an arrest warrant against Guadalupe for statutory sexual assault.
Guadalupe granted officers written permission to search her home. The sex toy – along with the packaging from several other sex toys that she said she used with her girlfriend – were reportedly taken into evidence.…

Philadelphia, PA - Willie Singletary had led a charmed life. In 2007, while running for the position of judge with the Philadelphia Traffic Court, it was discovered that Singletary – who holds no law degree – had a suspended license and more than $11,000 in traffic tickets. Singletary made up for his shortcomings with his positive campaign message, though.
“There’s going to be a basket going around, because I’m running for Traffic Court judge, right, and I need some money,” Singletary said at a 2007 biker rally. “Now, you all want me to get there. You’re all going to need my hookup, right?”
Singletary – shown in a picture from his Myspace page – would win that election. …and, after a small reprimand for the apparent suggestion that he would run a court steeped in corruption and favoritism, he was poised for great things. …at least until the FBI showed up.
In September 2011, the FBI raided the home and office of Administrative Judge Michael Sullivan and others amidst a long list of allegations of ticket fixing for political friends and family.…

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. – One man was taken to the hospital with a bullet to the gut and another man has been charged with shooting him during a game of Russian roulette.
Michael Deboard, 50, and Kurt Schnoor, 48, were drinking and smoking pot when Deobard instructed Schnoor to shoot him with a .357 loaded with a single .38-caliber slug.
Schnoor did as he was told and both men quickly wished he hadn’t (while others probably wish Schnoor had been aiming higher) when Deboard was shot in the stomach.
Deboard was rushed to the hospital where he was listed in serious condition Monday night. Schnoor faces aggravated assault, simple assault and possession of marijuana charges.

Pittsburgh, PA — Authorities have released a composite sketch of a man they believe unlawfully entered a South Side apartment last month and sexually assaulted a woman as she showered.
According to police, the man entered the apartment through an unlocked door at about 8:30 p.m. on February 2, and got all rapey. The 23-year-old victim apparently scared him off after the alleged assault.
The hooded bandit is described as a white male, 30 to 35-years old, about 5-feet 9-inches tall and 155 pounds. Police said he wore a gray hooded sweatshirt with the drawstrings pulled closed around his face, blue denim pants and red and white sneakers.
If you have any information on the whereabouts of this man, you are urged to call 412-323-7141. Anonymous calls will be accepted.

Mechanicsburg, PA – How I missed this story when it first broke is entirely beyond me. It’s got everything: Offensive Atheists, a zombie Muhammad, zombie Pope, a hyper-aggressive Muslim family man and a judge who doesn’t appear to understand the First Amendment.
It began at the Oct. 11 Halloween parade in Mechanicsburg, PA, where the Parading Atheists of Central Pennsylvania were doing their thing. Mr. Ernest Perce, PA State Director of American Atheists, Inc., dressed up as zombie Muhammad among other inflammatory characters that included a zombie Pope (equal opportunity haters, us atheists).
Before he knew it, Mr. Perce was being attacked by a man obviously offended by the spirited costume. The man choked him from behind as he attempted to rip his “Muhammad of Islam” sign from him, the audio of which was at least partially caught on video. The attack was brief and Perce continued to walk until he bumped into Police Sgt. Brian Curtis, who took the report.
Open and closed, right? No, see… Here’s where things go from bizarre to ridiculous. The prosecutor settled on a harassment charge and the case found its way to Cumberland County Magisterial District Judge Mark Martin. As luck would have it, dude’s also a Muslim. But, that shouldn’t matter, right?…

Upper Chichester, PA – No matter what your age, hearing one of your parents in the throes of love-making is an unnerving experience. But imagine being a 14-year-old awakened by the sounds of your mother in the throes of passion and then finding her having sex with your 15-year-old friend in the living room.
That’s exactly what happened to a young man in Pennsylvania, after he and a teenage friend spent some time with his mom, 34-year-old Teri Mezzatesta (aka Mrs. Free). After the trio drank some alcohol and smoked some pot, Mezzatesta’s son got tired and crashed in his room. He woke up later to the sound of his mother’s voice.
When he walked into the living room, he found his friend balls deep inside his 5 feet 9, 260 pound mother. After regaining his site, he punched his friend in the face and told him to get out. His mother begged him not to say anything or she would go to jail. The teen returned later that night because he had nowhere to go, and he was allowed to stay.…

Exton, PA – A 6-foot-4, 300-pound man was arrested Wednesday after he was seen walking around Walmart wearing nothing but socks. Socks he apparently lifted from the customer service desk.
Surveillance video of the bizarre incident shows 32-year-old Verdon Lamont Taylor exiting his vehicle in the store parking lot and stripping down to his birthday suit. He is then seen walking into the store all nekkid-like and approaching the customer service counter. It was there, police say, that Taylor found the socks in question, slipped them onto his feet and continued on his way through the aisles.
Police quickly arrived on scene, and after making contact with Taylor, were forced to subdue him with a stun gun. Once they had him strapped to a gurney, Taylor allegedly spat on the face of one of the officers.
Taylor has since been arraigned on charges of indecent exposure, aggravated assault, simple assault, retail theft, receiving stolen property and disorderly conduct, and ordered held on $50,000 cash bail.
No word on whether mental illness, drugs or alcohol were involved.…

Philadelphia, PA – Franklin Manuel Santana was shot and killed by a neighbor this week in what police are calling a long-standing dispute over dog crap.
Based on what police and neighbors are saying, the alleged gunman, 27-year-old Tyrirk Harris, has been allowing his two dogs to roam the neighborhood unleashed for months, leaving neighbors to clean up the foul packages the Chihuahua and German Shepherd left behind.
Apparently fed up, Santana confronted Harris just after 4:00 Tuesday evening. The two had words, and at some point, Harris pulled a 9mm out of a holster on his hip.
After a brief struggle over the gun, 47-year-old Santana lay dead on the sidewalk. Police say Harris fired multiple shots, striking Santana in the face and chest, and twice in the neck.
Harris, 27, was arrested on scene. He’s been booked on charges of murder, firearms violations and possession of an instrument of crime. According to investigators, Harris, a former school police officer, was, at one time, licensed to carry a gun but the license may have been revoked.…

PITTSBURGH, PA – Pittsburgh police say a 29-year-old monster beat his girlfriend’s 11-year-old son to death because he did not vacuum the apartment.
While Donovan McKee’s mother was at work on Saturday, he was being subjected to a nine hour beating at the hands of her boyfriend, 29-year-old Anthony Bush. The man was upset with the boy’s failure to clean up and was beating him with various objects found in the apartment.
Bush admitted to officers that he beat the boy with wooden sticks, hitting him in the head, legs, arms and torso, and would then order the boy to clean up the sticks after they broke. Police said that Bush even used a needle and thread to close a cut he’d caused on the boy’s arm.
By time McKee’s mother arrived home later that night, she found her son unresponsive. Bush tried to get McKee’s mother, Cynthia McKee, to say the boy had fallen out of a window but she refused and called 911 — after first calling relatives — saying her boyfriend had assaulted her child. When police arrived, they found the poor kid lying naked on the living room floor.…

Carbondale, PA — An argument fueled by a McDonald’s brownie led to injuries for one man and a few days in jail for another.
Erik Cain, 30, apparently got all kinds of slashy with his brother Wednesday evening after learning said brownie had been cut in half. Angered at the sight of the mutilated confection, Cain reportedly armed himself with three steak knives and went to work on his sibling, slashing the man on his forearm, wrist and shoulder.
The slashee, Gene Cain, told police he feared his brother was going to kill him, so he threw a television set at him in retaliation.
Cain was later arrested on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, reckless endangerment, harassment and disorderly conduct. Interestingly enough, police say Cain was out on bail on charges he had slashed his girlfriend last month.
Since I can’t seem to find any information on the victim’s condition, I have to assume the wounds were somewhat superficial. If anything, the man learned a very important lesson – never lay a finger on an unstable slasher’s chocolate.…

Radnor, PA — A teacher at Presbyterian Children’s Village, a school that caters to children victims of violence, neglect and other serious conditions, was arrested last week after another school employee witnessed him sockin’ a female student in the face.
According to police, on January 23, 41-year-old Richard Little requested help from an on-duty supervisor at the center for help with a student who was throwing chalk at him. When the supervisor entered the classroom, he saw chalk on the floor and told Little to leave the room.
The supervisor told police Little then grabbed the girl, dragged her into the hallway and began punching her in the face, causing her to bleed. Other staff members intervened and Little was escorted out of the building.
Both Little and the student were transported to the hospital for treatment. The extent of the girl’s injuries are unknown, but police say Little’s hands and fingers had blood and teeth marks indicative of punching someone in face.
Little posted $100,000 bail after being arraigned on charges that included aggravated assault, simple assault and reckless endangerment.…

Philadelphia, PA - Mayra Flores, 19, Ana Mireles, 18, and Sandra Ortiz, 18, have pleaded guilty to charges related their presenting a birthday cake to a classmate that was frosted with human feces. The classmate and her family – who got sick from eating the cake – were not happy.
According to court records, the three girls and a fourth unidentified juvenile girl – students at Avon Grove High School – gave a cake to a classmate on March 23, her birthday. The girl reported that Ortiz, Flores and Mireles and the fourth girl ‘repeatedly’ tried to get her to eat a piece of it in front of them and that she finally did eat a small piece.
Court documents say that the birthday girl then brought the cake home with her where she, her mother, and three siblings each ate some of it. Because of the taste, the family decided to throw the cake in the garbage. As the cake began to smell even worse, the girl decided to take it out of the trash, wrap it up, and bring it to school with her the following day where she showed the cake to a teacher.…
