Los Angeles – Man-Ling Williams, who is in her 20s, came home from grocery shopping Wednesday morning she found her husband Neal Williams, 27, dead of multiple stab wounds. Her two sons Devon, 7, and Ian, 3, were both found strangled in their bunk beds. The house had been ransacked.
Here is why I think the mother knows more than she is saying.
- There was nothing to suggest that an intruder was responsible for the deaths, because nothing had been stolen.
- The mother told police she had just came back from an early morning grocery run, but told a neighbor she was returning from a drive she started at around 10 or 11 pm the night before to “to cool off her head”.
- She is not the one who found her kids, but rather had a neighbor check the room they were found in.
- Some neighbors said they often heard the couple arguing at night.
But I guess we will see where the police go with this. Neal’s Myspace page had an interesting blurb that stated “About me: I’m an easy going guy, who loves icecream.…

POWDER SPRINGS, Ga. – Jane Kuria, 47, and her two daughters Isabel Kuria, 19, and Annabell Kuria were found dead Wednesday morning, in what police believe was a triple homicide. Two boys, Jeremy Kuria,8, and another boy who was not identified, were apparently beaten and found unconscious in the home. Neighbors said the woman who lived in the home was a nurse who had moved to the neighborhood about two years ago.
Investigators said there was no sign of forced entry into the home and the home did not appear to have been burglarized or ransacked. Authorities did not have a suspect in custody by Wednesday afternoon and do not suspect the deaths were a murder-suicide.

Now this gets even more interesting…
The murdered family had sought political asylum.
Seems that the mother, Jane Kuria, 46, had fled Kenya in 2001 after the death of her husband and her home was destroyed. According to her political asylum application, the couple was targeted in Kenya because of their opposition to female genital mutilation.…

CINCINNATI - A Delhi Township woman killed her children Tuesday morning in a murder-suicide, police said.
Mary Ann Wittich, upset about her husband leaving the family, drugged her children, Jacob Wittich, 10, and Sydney Wittich, 7, with Benadryl or some other similair substance, painted black X’as over their hearts and then shot them both twice in the chest at point blank range.
John Scott filed for divorce Jan. 24 from Mary Ann Wittich and had recently agreed to share custody of the two younger children. The couple also has two adult children, Kathryn Wittich, 24, and Lindsey Wittich, 20, one of which found the bodies. Mary Ann Wittich volunteered at her parish and was an involved parent. Everyone who knew this family, say they were active with their church and school. They say no one saw anything like this coming.
But the family did. In addition to the suicide note, Wittich also recently told family members of how depressed she was and made suggestions about death.

Boston – Angela Vasquez, 31, stabbed Yasmine Burgos, 13, and Dennis Burgos Jr., 10, to death and then stabbed herself. Vasquez was arrested at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, where she was taken Sunday night after police found her in her Boston apartment with the children’s bodies.
Friends and neighbors have said that Vasquez threatened suicide during the weekend and that she was distraught after recently leaving her job as an executive assistant at Children’s Hospital.

CHESHIRE, Conn. – Two men broke into the home of William Petit Jr., 50, a prominent doctor, kidnapped his wife Jennifer Hawke-Petit, 48, and forced her to withdraw money from a bank early Monday morning. Jennifer was able to notify bank employees that she and her family were being held hostage and notified police. When police arrived at Petit’s house, the observed two men leaving in a station wagon while the house was engulfed in flames. After striking a couple police cruisers on their way out, the two men, not identified, were apprehended.
Inside the house they found a severely injured William Petit Jr as well as the dead bodies of his wife and his two daughters, Hayley and Michaela.
Petit, a well-known diabetes specialist, was in stable condition at St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury, his injuries nor the cause of his family members deaths, have been released. Authorities would not release the names of the suspects. The two men are due Tuesday in Meriden Superior Court.…

UPDATE 7/23/08 – In a courtroom shocker today, Edwin Hall pled guilty to Kelsey Smith’s June 2007 murder in what was originally scheduled as a change of venue hearing. Hall apparently cut a last-minute deal for life without parole in exchange for a guilty plea on all counts: capital murder, aggravated kidnapping, rape and aggravated sodomy.

Medicine Hat, Alta – You may recognize the pictures from an incident that we posted about last year. In a nutshell, when Jasmine Richardson was 12, she and her boyfriend, 23-year-old Jeremy Steinke, murdered her mother and father along with her 8-year-old brother after the girls father forbid her to see Steinke any longer. The case was reported pretty heavily for a multitude of reasons, her age, his age, the callousness of their actions before, during and after the murders, plus the fact taht the girl was a “goth” girl who frequented nextopia.com as well as vampirefreaks.com. During her trial, she stuck with the story that she was being controlled and afraid of her boyfriend and did what he told her. Her defense stated that she didn’t know her boyfriend was on his way over to her house the night of the murders. The night he stabbed her mother, father and then slit 8-year-old Jacob’s throat after she was unable to carry through with his orders to stab him.…

UPDATE 11/11/08 – Candace Clark, now 24, pleaded no contest to being a party to second-degree reckless homicide on Monday. She also pled guilty to multiple charges including child abuse related to the murder of Tammie Garlin and the torture of Garlin’s eleven year old son. Clark will serve about 47 years in prison and then will face up to 45 years of continued supervision.

I am sure a lot of you have heard of, or have been following the case of Kelsey Smith, the 18-year-old who has been missing after being abducted from a Target parking lot. The ending was not a happy one as her body was discovered near a wooded area around a nearby lake and a suspect has been arrested.
Edwin R. Hall, 26, was expected to be charged Thursday morning with premeditated first-degree murder and aggravated kidnapping. He is the man that was caught on surveillance cameras pulling into the parking lot and entering\exiting the same Target store Kelsey had went inside t purchase a gift.

Tennessee - While the news has been populated by what Britney Spears is doing with her hair, or whether Paris Hilton will see jail time for driving without a license – all newsworthy items, for sure – have you read about the case that is about to go to trial regarding a couple by the name of Channon Christian, a 21-year-old University of Tennessee student, and her 23-year-old boyfriend Christopher Newsom?
It’s amazing if you haven’t as it involves two young people being abducted, raped, tortured and murdered by another group of people in house in a Tennessee neighborhood. The investigation into their deaths led to the arrest of Lemaricus Davidson, 25; his brother, Letalvis Cobbins, 24; George Thomas, 24; and Cobbins’ former girlfriend, Vanessa Coleman, 18, and Eric Boyd, 34.
Even more details have been trickling out in the manner of Channon and Christopher’s death. Christopher was gang-raped, possibly had his genitals cut off, shot and burned. This was all done in front of Channon. Channon was also was gang raped over several days, urinated on, made to drink household cleaner, had a breast removed, possibly while still alive, strangled and then cut into multiple pieces.…

LA HABRA – Arthur Ruiz, 32, attacked his mother, Guadalupe Ruiz, 60, cutting off her head with a circular saw. He then tried to do the same thing to himself. He died from severe neck injuries.
Police found his decapitated mother on one bed and him on another in the same room they were renting in a three-bedroom home occupied by three other adults and a juvenile. Police were dispatched after responding to a 911 call. Neighbor Paula Sanchez said she heard the sound of the saw before she went on her daily walk but thought it was someone doing yard or house work.
“If it would have been a gunshot or something, I would have called the police.”
Arthur Riaz had some run-ins with the law before, 8 days in jail and three years probation for refusing to leave a home on Thanksgiving 2004, 45 days in jail and three years probation for being under the influence of drugs in 2000 and driving drunk in 1999.

Illinois - More details are being released in regards to the murder of Jimella Tunstall and her three children.
Friend of the family, Tiffany Hall, clubbed the pregnant Tunstall in the head repeatedly with a table leg, dragged her into a bathtub and then cut her fetus from the womb. Mrs. Hall then drowned all three of Mrs. Tunstall’s children in the same bathtub, 2-year-old Ivan Tunstall-Collins, 1-year-old Jinela Tunstall and 7-year-old, DeMond Tunstall.
The grisly details in the September slayings were revealed at a hearing where a coroner’s jury concluded that the deaths were homicides.
Hall admitted to investigators that she “had been thinking about taking the baby for some time” before actually going through with it. Hall confessed to her boyfriend who then notified police, who then found Tunstall’s body in a plastic container behind the residence. The 3 children were later discovered in the washer and dryer of Tunstall’s apartment. Investigators had searched the apartment before, but had not looked in those locations for the missing children.…
