Judith Hawkey Accused Of Forcing Stepson, 10, To Shoot His Father To Death

DEFIANCE COUNTY, OH – The shooting death of a man in 2003, once considered accidental, is now being called a murder orchestrated by Judith Hawkey, a woman who prosecutors say forced her 10-year-old stepson to shoot his father to death.
On Nov. 3, 2003, police responded to an accidental shooting call at the home of Robert Breininger and his then wife, Judith Hawkey. Police would find Robert dead in a bedroom from a single gunshot wound to the head. It was claimed that the shooting was accidental and involved Breininger’s 10-year-old son.
While the death was ruled accidental, a recent investigation has prosecutors charging Hawkey with murder. Prosecutors allege Hawkey tortured and abused the 10-year-old over a three year period, and forced the boy to kill his own father.
No word on what information led to the case being re-opened a decade later, but a grand jury indicted Hawkey this month. ”The information on what caused the investigation to be reopened as a homicide is not something I can comment on publicly,” said Defiance County Prosecuting Attorney Morris Murray.…

SEATTLE, WA – Police are searching the 26-year-old Michael “Chad” Boysen, a man who they say killed his grandparents and stole their car just hours after the elderly couple picked him up from prison.
Michael Boysen has been incarcerated since 2006 after being convicted of several robbery related charges. His grandparents picked him up from prison after he was released, and were taking him to their home where they had prepared a room for him to live in.
A family member became concerned when the couple would not answer their door, so their daughter was called. That’s when the bodies of 82-year-old Robert R. and his wife, 80-year-old Norma J. Taylor, were found dead inside the home.
Police believe they were killed sometime Friday night or Saturday morning. Police have not released how they died, aside from saying they were not shot.
“We are at a loss as to why he killed them,” the sheriff said. “We don’t know what the motive is.”
Detectives believe Boysen is trying to find weapons because he’d been searching the Internet for “gun shows” across the Northwest and Nevada. Boysen “is considered an extreme danger to the public and police,” the King County sheriff’s office said.…

WHITEFISH, MT – Gregory Rodriguez, the host of Sports Channel’s “A Rifleman’s Journal”, was shot to death by a woman’s husband, who then turned the gun on himself.
According to police Rodriguez, 43, died Thursday in the town of Whitefish after being shot by 41-year-old Wayne Bengston, who apparently didn’t like the fact that the TV personality was visiting Bengston’s wife.
Rodriguez was in Montana on business and at the home of the woman’s mother when Bengston showed up and placed Rodriguez on the end of a gun he was not accustomed to. After shooting and killing Rodriguez, Bengston beat his wife before taking their 2-year-old son to a relative’s home.
Police would find Bengston’s truck parked in his driveway and would find Bengston inside his home dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Police say they do not believe that Rodriguez’s relationship with the woman was a romantic one. She works for a firearms manufacturer and met Rodriguez, a married father of two children, at a trade show and formed a casual relationship.…

RIVERTON, UT – The two men arrested in connection to the murder of 15-year-old Anne Kasprzak have been set free, and the hunt for her killer(s) continues.
It’s been almost a year since Anne’s body was found in the Jordan river. She had been beaten so badly that she had to be identified by her scars, clothing and cosmetic dentistry. A search warranted described defensive wounds on Anne’s hands, and a pushed back fingernail.
She was last seen by her family the night before, after going into her bedroom to listen to music. At some point she sneaked out of the house and reported her as a runaway when her parents found she was not in her room and would not answer their calls or reply to text messages.
Before Anne left her home, she spent 30 minutes talking on her cellphone to people with unavailable phone numbers. Her family tracked the location of the Anne’s cellphone, noticing that it seemed to be moving slowly before quickening, as if she were in a moving vehicle.…

GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Last year we reported on Steven Deuman, the Michigan man found guilty of killing his infant daughter while orally raping her. On Tuesday, he was sentenced to two life terms in prison.
For those of you who missed this horrible story, 28-year-old Steven Deuman said he found 15-week-old Evelynne Deuman on the floor bleeding from the nose, unconscious and not breathing.
Instead of calling 911 for help, he called the girl’s mother, Natasha Maitland, and told her their baby wasn’t breathing. A call to 911 was not made until after Maitland drove back home from work.
Instead of waiting for an ambulance, they attempted to drive to the hospital, but were met by responding paramedics who tried to revive Evelynne before rushing her to the hospital. But, according to prosecutors, Evelynne had been dead for far too long.
It wasn’t until later that night that Deuman allegedly whispered to Maitland that he had pulled a used condom out of their daughter’s mouth. The condom would be found underneath a diaper in the bedroom, and contained Evelynne’s DNA on the outside, and her parents’ DNA on the inside.…

Mexico City - Two-year-old Axel Charrette was killed in Sayulita, Mexico while on vacation with his family at a vacation home they were renting, and now his 16-year-old babysitter and her boyfriend have been charged with his murder.
In a statement released to The Watch, Jen and Randy Charrette stated they had hired a 16-year-old girl to help around their vacation home. On February 28, the girl was babysitting their two boys when she let her 17-year-old inside the home.
Realizing that her boyfriend was in a violent, drug-crazed state, she locked herself in a bathroom and left Axel outside the home and his older brother in another part of the house. For reasons unknown at this time, the boyfriend hurt Axel and then tossed him into a pool where he drowned.
They go on to say that the teen and her boyfriend have been arrested and charged with murder in Mexico City. They were also told by a source in the US State Department that the case is ‘Mexico’s number one priority right now.’

Clark, WY - Two teens, 19-year-old Stephen Hammer and 18-year-old Tanner Vanpelt, are facing 11 felony counts after police say they killed a woman and her elderly parents in order to steal a car.
According to charging documents, Hammer and Vanpelt went to the home of 40-year-old Ildiko Freitas, who lived their with her husband and her parents, 69-year-old Janos Volgyesi and 70-year-old Hildegard Volgyesi. The teens had intended intent to steal Freitas Audi and flee to Utah, but something went horribly wrong.
Freitas, who knew Hammer from when he once lived in the area, argued with the boys, leading to Vanpelt shooting and killing her. The affidavit alleges Hammer found Hildegard Volgyesi in the basement and shot her. When Vanpelt went into the basement he saw Volgyesi was still alive, and shot her two more times. Vanpelt then encountered Janos Volgyesi in the garage and shot the man twice in the back.
Neighbors reported seeing the teens arrive at the home in a white Taurus, and watched as they entered the front door.…

Saginaw, TX - Police say 24-year-old Jeffrey Hansana senselessly murdered 33-year-old Dr. Deidra Blackmon after one of Blackmon’s friends threw up near his car in a convenience store parking lot.
Last Saturday night, Blackmon and two female friends were out celebrating one of the women getting married this week. Shortly before midnight, Blackmon pulled her Lexus over at a convenience store.
Surveillance footage captures Blackmon walking into the store, followed by 22-year-old Heather Rene Thompson, whose boyfriend, Jeffery Hansna, was waiting outside in his car.
When Blackmon walked back out, followed by Thompson, they found one of Blackmon’s friends had thrown up in the parking lot, some of it hitting Hansana’s car. According to police, a few words were exchanged between Blackmon’s friends and Thompson. They do not believe Hansana said a word during the exchange between the women.
Hansana and Thompson drove away, and Blackmon left a few seconds later. Within a mile, Hansana drove up to Blackmon’s Lexus and fired three to five times, hitting the Lexus once. But that’s all it took, as that one round went through the rear passenger window and struck Blackmon in the head.…

CLARKSVILLE, IN – Police say 49-year-old Richard Hooten, a fugitive sex offender, is suspected of the rape and murder of 17-year-old Tara Willenborg over the weekend.
Willenborg’s body was found by her boyfriend early Saturday morning inside the Clarksville apartment the couple shared. She had been raped and died from asphyxiation. According to prosecutor Steven Smith, Willenborg suffered a ‘horrible death’.
Willenborg’s father said his daughter had attended Jeffersonville High School where she was a member of the cross country team. She’d recently earned her G.E.D. and had just moved into the apartment with her boyfriend in January. She would have turned 18 next Sunday.
Police would arrest Hooten on unrelated charges after seeing him wandering around outside near the apartment.
“Officers found him walking. He sort of fit the description and at that time they asked for his identity and ran a background check and noticed he had outstanding warrants,” said Darrell Rayborn with the Clarksville Police Department.
The warrant was issued because Hooten had failed to register as a sex offender. Turns out he has quite the criminal history including rape, sexual battery and sodomy charges in both Indiana and Georgia dating back to 1993.…

NORTH STONINGTON, CT – Police say 47-year-old Debra Denison picked up her grandsons, 6-month-old Ashton Perry and 2-year-old Alton Perry, from day care before shooting them both with a .38-caliber handgun then turning the gun on herself.
An Amber Alert was issued yesterday evening after Debra Denison picked up her grandchildren from their day care, as she had done before, but never made it to her daughter’s home where she was waiting with presents to celebrate Alton’s second birthday.
The day care reported they had been notified that Debra Denison would be picking up the children that day. An Amber Alert was issued, after police gathered enough information to warrant one, that stated that after picking up her grandsons, Denison drove away in a 2002 White Chrysler minivan. State police also stated Denison is bipolar and has a history of medical conditions.
At about 9:30 p.m., police received a 911 call that a vehicle with three injured people inside was found parked near the Lake of Isles golf course. Troopers and local EMS personnel responded to the scene and found Debra Denison and her grandsons inside the vehicle, victims of a double-murder/suicide.…

San Antonio, TX - Police say 33-year-old Christopher Shows stabbed a friend to death with a 30-inch sword after the victim danced with Shows’ girlfriend.
According to the police report, Shows and his girlfriend, along with the victim and one other person, were drinking and listening to music when the victim began to dance with Shows’ girlfriend.
Shows didn’t like what he was seeing, so he hit his friend and went back inside his apartment with his girlfriend and locked the door behind him. Shows said that his friend, who he’d known for years, attempted to barge into his room and kicked the door in.
Shows said he felt threatened, so he grabbed a sword and lunged at the victim, stabbing his friend in the chest. When Shows’ girlfriend was interviewed, she corroborated Shows’ story. The third person present said they didn’t see the actual stabbing, but did say the victim was banging on his Shows’s door, saying “open the door so I can kick your ass and your girlfriend’s ass.”
But police say they found no damage to the door the victim supposedly kicked in, and that the door actually swings outwards.…

New Castle, IN — Jeremiah Taylor, a man convicted of child molestation last year, was beaten to death inside an Indiana prison.
According to police, the 37-year-old was found unconscious at the bottom of a staircase at the state prison in New Castle late Thursday night. He was taken to Henry County Hospital then flown to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, where he died Saturday morning.
Investigators believe the inmate’s injuries were “not the result of an accident, but were the result of Taylor having been battered shortly before being found in the stairwell,” an Indiana State Police release said.
Taylor was charged with molesting a preschooler in 2009, but was not apprehended until 2011. He pleaded guilty to charges of child molestation in June of last year, and was sentenced to 20-years in prison with 12 years suspended. Taylor had been at the prison since July of last year and was scheduled to be released in 2018.
Before anyone assumes he was murdered because of his admitted crimes, Mike Smith, public information officer at the New Castle Correctional Facility, said a large segment of the New Castle prison population consists of sex offenders.…

UK — Subhan Anwar, a man convicted of murdering 2-year-old Sanam Navsarka, was killed in prison after being held hostage by two other inmates at Long Lartin prison – and it couldn’t have happened to a more deserving guy.
Anwar was serving a minimum of 23 years at the prison after being convicted of torturing and murdering his girlfriend’s daughter in 2008. Sanam suffered a horrible, prolonged death at the hands of Subhan Anwar, with police discovering 107 separate injuries to her body. These included both of her thigh bones being fractured, which ultimately caused her death, and untreated fractures to both her arms.
Sanam’s tiny hand prints and bloodstains were found inside cupboards at the couple’s home, as well as a former home of the couple. During Anwar’s sentencing, Judge Peter Thornton QC said: “It is almost unbelievable the pain and anguish she must have suffered, not just once or twice, but repeatedly and persistently over weeks at your cruel and selfish hands.”
There’s not a lot of details regarding Anwar’s death, aside from reports that he was being held hostage by two other inmates before he was killed last Thursday night. ”The body of the man was found by prison officers just before 8pm on Thursday, February 14,” a West Mercia Police spokesman said. ”Two men aged 47 and 45 have been arrested on suspicion of murder and are currently in police custody.”
Anwar was not the only one held responsible for Sanam’s death.…

Colville, WA – Two fifth graders in Washington have been arrested, accused of plotting the death of a fellow classmate because she was rude and annoying.
Their plan was discovered on February 7th after a student at Fort Colville Elementary School told a teacher he had seen one of the accused with a knife. When the teacher searched the backpacks belonging to the boy and his 10-year-old friend, they found a knife with a three-and-a-quarter inch blade, a .45 calibre Remington 1911 semiautomatic handgun and an ammunition clip.
When the boys were later questioned separately by police, they both confessed to planning on luring a female classmate outside of the school to kill her, and confessed to having six other students on their hit list who’d they planned on killing by also luring away from the school one at a time.
The 11-year-old admitted he just wanted the girl dead because she was rude and picked on him. He planned to kill the girl with the knife while his younger friend used a gun he’d stolen from his other brother to keep people from stopping him. The 10-year-old told authorities he’d been in “a short dating relationship” with the girl, but that “she’s rude and always made fun of me and my friends,” court papers said.…

Delaware County, PA – Maria Rey Garcia-Pellon, the wife of a former University of Pennsylvania basketball star Matthew White, has been charged with stabbing her husband to death in bed because she says she caught him looking at child porn, according to court records.
Matthew White, 53, was asleep in his bed sometime around midnight Monday when his wife, Maria Rey Garcia-Pellon, began stabbing him in the neck with a knife. White reportedly woke up during the attack and tried to fight off his wife, yelling ”I’m dying, I’m dying!” before collapsing on the bed.
Afterwards, Garcia-Pellon changed clothes and went to a neighbor’s home after placing a bloody, rambling note inside another neighbor’s mailbox. There Garcia-Pellon told the neighbor she had killed her husband because she caught him looking at child pornography. After 911 was called and police arrived, Garcia Pellon reportedly told investigators, “I caught him looking at pornography, young girls, I love kids. I had to do it.”

NORTH TONAWANDA, NY – Police have charged 23-year-old Jennifer Marchant with murder after the retired porn actress allegedly stabbed her boyfriend in the neck with a steak knife.
Last Wednesday night, police responded to the apartment of Marchant and her 24-year-old boyfriend, Ralph Stone. According to police, Marchant had outfitted Stone with a hole to the neck that wasn’t quite working out.
Paramedics tried saving Stone, but he would die a short while later. Police say the wound was caused by Marchant stabbing the man with a steak knife. Both Marchant and Stone had a history of arrests.
Police have not given a motive, or revealed if Marchant has even confessed to stabbing Stone, but she has been charged with second-degree murder and is currently being held without bail. On Monday, Marchant entered a plea of not guilty while her attorney’s claim she was acting in self-defense.
Her Twitter account states she retired from porn last year, but Marchant has numerous videos online under the name Scarlett Rougue and normally featured in the BBW (Big Beautiful Women) category of most online porn sites.…

ALVIN, TX – Police have charged a man with murder, accusing him of shooting the drunk driver responsible for killing his two sons.
On Dec 7, 2012, David Barajas’ truck ran out of gas yards from his home. He and his two sons, 12-year-old David Barajas and 11-year-old Caleb Barajas, jumped out and began pushing the truck while Barajas’ wife and two daughters remained inside the vehicle.
At around this same time, 20-year-old Jose Banda was driving drunk down the narrow road and plowed into the rear of the pickup. Caleb and his brother would both die after becoming pinned between the two vehicles. Jose Banda also died, but not because of the crash. He died from a bullet wound to the head.
Several witnesses who were present at the scene of the accident told police that after the crash, David Barajas walked the short distance home. He returned to the scene shortly afterward and approach Jose Banda’s car. That’s when the witnesses reported hearing gunshots.
Police still have not recovered a weapon, but a handgun holster was found in Barajas’ home, along with ammunition that matched the kind that killed Banda. David Barajas was subsequently arrested for the murder of Jose Banda.…

KANSAS CITY, MO - Police in Missouri believe that the murders of two area prostitutes are linked to the same suspect and that it’s likely there are living victims out there.
During a Friday news conference, a detective with the Kansas City Police Department said that the deaths of of 40-year-old Tamara Sparks and 24-year-old Nicoleone Reed are related.
Sparks’ body was discovered by two cyclists in Oct 2011 near Northeast 120th Street and North Eastern Road in Kansas City. Reed was last seen about Aug. 18 2012 near her home in the area of Independence Avenue and Denver Avenue in Kansas City. Her body was found Aug. 21 in a remote area of southeastern Kearney.
Connecting these two crime scenes is 92 Highway, a fact that police feel is a key to the investigation, as is investigators’ belief that the women’s bodies were meant to be found. They are asking that that the women’s line of work not be the focus point of the investigation.

Conch Key, FL – Carolyn “Seahag” Dukeshire, 62, was recently sentenced to a maximum of 30-years behind bars after pleading guilty to the shooting death of 64-year-old Martin Mazur last year when he refused to give her a beer.
Justified? Perhaps. If the beer in question was anything other than a Busch Light. Ick.
And no, I did not bestow the name Seahag upon this ravishing creature… it’s apparently a self-appointed moniker.
Anyway, back in July of last year, police say the Seahag approached Mazur, a neighbor/acquaintance she had previously done some sort of lobster-trap work for, and asked, “Do you have a cold beer for me?”
Mazur’s reply: “I have absolutely nothing for you.”
The displeased and presumably thirsty Seahag then shot the man. Five times – two to the abdomen, one to the wrist, and two to the back.
Overkill, much?
Mazur was pronounced very dead later that same day, and a grand jury handed down a first-degree murder charge against the Seahag in August.
Dukeshire pleaded guilty to second-degree murder Thursday and must now figure out how to make her own damn hooch.…

HOUSTON, TX – A man in Texas has been accused of stabbing his wife over 100 times and beating his stepson with a frying pan because he “just lost it.”
On February 3, a 14-year-old girl entered her home to find her mother, 43-year-old Jemal Lockridge Chambers, and her 13-year-old brother covered in blood. She ran from the home and went to a neighbor for help.
“She found her mother dead and her brother clinging to life,” a prosecutor said. “She said there was no forced entry into the residence. The front door and burglar bars were locked.”
When police entered the home, they found Chambers’ body in a bedroom, her son was nearby. She had been stabbed 119 times. Her 13-year-old son was also found in the home suffering from blunt force trauma to the head, cuts with a knife and disfigurement to the face. He was rushed to the hospital in serious condition.
The one person unaccounted for was Chambers’ husband, 40-year-old Lawrence Clinton Chambers. He would turn himself into police on Monday after confessing to his brother that he was the person responsible for the vicious stabbing death of his wife as well as the severe beating his stepson suffered
Lawrence Chambers told his brother that Jemal had came at him with a knife and he “just lost it.” Chambers said he did not remember harming his stepson.…
