Valerie McDaniel, 48, and her boyfriend, Leon Jacob, were arrested earlier this month after they allegedly conspired to have a hit man murder both of their exes.
As is usually the case, the hit man they hired for $20,000 and two Cartier watches was actually an undercover cop. Police had the “victims” pose for mock murder photos which were then shown to McDaniel and Jacob as proof of a job well done.
The couple was both arrested and charged with solicitation of capital murder. McDaniel was released days later after posting $50,000 bail, while Jacob was denied bail and remained behind bars.
McDaniel, a prominent veterinarian, was supposed to be in court on Tuesday for a status update on her criminal case that could see her sentenced to life in prison. She was also due in family court after her ex-husband, who she has an 8-year-old daughter with, filed a restraining order against her.…
The incident happened on Monday at around 12 p.m. after three males – aged 16, 17 and 18 – broke into a home while wearing masks and armed with a knife and brass knuckles.
Unfortunately for the three burglars, the homeowner’s 23-year-old son was sleeping in the home when he heard them break through the back door.
The man armed himself with an AR-15 rifle and walked toward the back door where he encountered the three, masked home intruders.
“Armed with a rifle, there were some shots fired, and, at this point, three people are deceased,” said Wagoner County Sheriff’s Deputy Nick Mahoney.
Two of the teens died inside the home, while the third died after running from the home and collapsing in the driveway.
A fourth person, 21-year-old Elizabeth Marie Rodriguez (pictured), has been identified as the driver and turned herself into police after the shooting.…
Carmona hinted to police that he may have been considering killing his mother and stepfather for quite some time, due to “ongoing family issues.” He woke up Monday and decided it was the day to follow through.
Tahirih Lua D’Angelo was found dead Monday, in the home she shared with her husband and their 3-year-old daughter, as well as Carmona.
Carmona reportedly told police he distracted his mother, then knocked her upside the head with a baseball bat, multiple times, before stabbing her in the neck with a butcher knife.
He then hopped in her car and picked his half-sister up from daycare. He was arrested that same afternoon.
The sheriff’s office says there is no history of violence in the home.
“There are no reports, we’ve never received a report,” said Office Colonel Donna Lusczynski. “And according to members of the family, there’s been no physical violence or no incidents of domestic violence that they’ve reported or we’ve learned through the course of our interviews.”
Police say Carmona was once arrested in Pennsylvania for car burglary, simple assault, and drug possession.…
Molly Jo reportedly confessed to setting fire to boys’ beds as they slept. She then walked out the front door of their mobile home and locked it from the outside, before moseying off to her parent’s home across the street.
Her husband, Justin Delgado Sr., who was asleep on the opposite side of the mobile home, was awakened by the smoke and attempted to get to the children’s bedroom. Unable to do so, Justin attempted to flee the trailer but found he was locked inside. He ended up screaming for help out of the kitchen window.
Molly Jo’s father, Drew McCombs, said he saw his daughter walking back to her trailer after she heard her husband yell that the trailer was on fire and he needed the key to get out.
McCombs and his wife, Brenda, entered the trailer in the hopes of rescuing the boys, but they, too, were unsuccessful.…
Sheaen Smith called 911 at about 2 p.m. Sunday, ranting about werewolves and vampires. When officers arrived at the home Smith shared with his mother, they found 57-year-old Aurora Lee Buol-Smith dead from multiple stab wounds. (Multiple = approximately 20). Several of those cuts, police say, were defensive wounds.
Officers made contact with Sheaen inside the home, and he apparently confessed to killing his mother…. in between delusional rants about werewolves and vampires and whatever else lives in a tweaker’s head. He was promptly arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder while armed with a deadly weapon.
Based on certain statements from Sheaen, investigators have reason to believe the motive, besides the whole vampire thing, was sexual in nature. Authorities have mentioned that it’s not clear if those statements were more delusions or actual facts, and they are waiting on the results of the autopsy.…
Walker, who lived in his grandmother’s garage, was apparently just hanging out drinking beer early Monday, and decided he’d had enough of the woman’s nagging — she repeatedly asked him to turn off the lights and maybe take shorter showers — and “decided her and his fates.”
He entered her bedroom as she slept Monday morning, and choked the life out of her. But, BUT, he wanted to make sure she was good and dead, so he slit her throat with a kitchen knife, too, he said.
Grandma didn’t go quietly… police say Walker had numerous scratches on his chin and mouth. Damn shame he didn’t have a kitchen knife sticking out of his jugular.
After washing his hands, Walker reportedly walked to the Washougal Police department and confessed to the murder.
In court Tuesday, Walker’s court-appointed attorney claimed Walker was “remorseful and sad” about his grandmother’s death.…
According to police, Oliver Funez called police Monday after he attacked his mother, 35-year-old Yesenia Funez Beatriz Machado.
When police arrived at the home, they witnessed
Michael Myers Funez walking outside holding his mother’s head in one hand, and a large butcher knife in the other.
Funez was taken into custody without incident and has since been charged with first-degree murder. Officials say a motive behind the attack is still unclear.
Police also found two young children in the home, who were present when the attack occurred. Another child was at school at the time of the attack.
All three children are now with their father, who showed up at the scene that afternoon and was overcome with grief.
“It’s a terrible situation for the family, a terrible situation for the neighborhood and this county. I’m just glad things worked out the way they did and no one else was hurt in taking the suspect into custody,” Sheriff Kent Winstead said.…
Tarentum, PA — Police allege Teresa Drum, 38, shot and killed her husband after arguing about a casserole she’d burned, then snapped a quick pic of the body and texted it to a friend, before taking a quicky shower and calling 911.
When police and paramedics arrived at the couple’s home late Monday night, Teresa apparently attempted to convince them her husband, 42-year-old Dennis Drum Sr., killed himself.
Teresa claimed the two had argued over the charred casserole, and the fact that she had sucked down his last beer, and he just put a bullet in his head all on his own. She told police he did this as she was calling 911.
She showed police a picture of the body. She took the pic and texted it to a friend, she explained, because she didn’t know what to do. The friend apparently told her to call 911.
Heh. A good friend would have been over 15 minutes later with a shovel and a bottle of wine. Or a dead hooker.…
The victim’s body was found in a burning garage near Hernandez’s home on January 22. Police have yet to identify her, but describe her as being Hispanic and between 18 and 35 years old. They believe she had brown hair, breast implants and a tattoo on her lower back.
Surveillance video apparently showed a dark truck pulling out of the garage shortly before the building went up in flames.
According to authorities, a witness came forward Thursday and informed investigators that Hernandez admitted to strangling the woman before burning the body in the garage. The witness also said that prior to setting the woman’s body on fire, Hernandez allowed an acquaintance to have sex with the corpse. Not sure if that’s being a good friend? Or a sucky, bad friend….
Anyway, Hernandez admitted that he owned a dark truck, but not the one seen in the surveillance video.…
Officers met with Thomasine Bennett at her home Friday afternoon, after receiving a report of a disturbance. Bennett informed the officers her boyfriend, Walter Clark, was in the back.
Bennett, for whatever reason, was quick to mention to police that Clark forced her to smoke the street drug “love boat” the night before. (Love boat, and I’m sure you’ll correct me if I’m wrong, is marijuana laced with PCP or formaldehyde)?
Bennett then led the officers to a hallway closet that had been barricaded with a board. Inside, police say, lay Clark. He was found to be naked, in the fetal position with his hands bound, unconscious, and unresponsive.
Clark died at the hospital, about an hour later.
When questioned, Bennett told police Clark proposed to her on Valentine’s Day. But she was tired of loving him, she said, and sharing him with other women.…
On January 26, Iris Hernandez Rivas called 911 and said she found her daughter face-down in the bathtub, “unresponsive with her hands clenched at her side.”
When first responders arrived at her apartment, Hernandez Rivas reportedly told them her daughter had been in the shower for 15 to 20 minutes when a noise from the bathroom prompted her to check on her child.
After finding her daughter face-down in the tub, she took her out and put her on the bedroom floor. She then called her boyfriend and her brother for help before calling 911 an hour after finding her daughter.
Paramedics took the child to the hospital in serious condition where medical staff found “reddish bruising on multiple regions of her body,” an injury to her brain, a “small liver contusion” and “patterned injuries that are the result of blunt force trauma with an object.”
When confronted about the injuries, Hernandez Rivas admitted she kicked the child in the stomach because she was angry that she wouldn’t brush her teeth.…
Mark Pascual was playing Defense of the Ancients (DOTA) with his friend, 25-year-old Ferdinand Madamba Jr., at the Barangay 2 Internet cafe.
According to local reports, Pascual was becoming irritated with Madamba because he kept winning matches and trash talking Pascual.
Madamba challenged Pascual to a fist fight outside the cafe, which Pascual accepted. Once outside, Pascual took out a knife and stabbed Madamba multiple times in the neck and stomach, ultimately leading to his death.
Pascual then fled the scene after murdering his long-time friend. Madamba’s brother, who goes by the name of PJ, discovered his brother lying in a pool of his own blood a few minutes later.
Pascual has not been apprehended at this time, and local authorities have launched a manhunt to find him.
According to reports, Pascual and Madamba have been friends for roughly 10 years. PJ said the two had gotten into a fight earlier in their village.…
The teen, Alexander Kireev, murdered his father Victor, 43, his sister Victoria, 14, and his grandmother Vera, 67. All of the victims were found in their home suffering from multiple axe wounds.
Victoria and Vera were already dead by time police found them, but Victor was still alive. He would die from his injuries after being taken to the hospital.
Some news outlets are reporting the family were murdered in their beds, alongside the same picture of a blood-soaked bed, but a Russian news outlet says the family were attacked during a heated argument, and that Alexander threw the axe into his sister’s head as she tried to run away.
According to friends and neighbors of the family, the teen has been suffering from depression ever since his mother died from cancer three years ago, and did not like his father’s new girlfriend. They say Alexander had become more withdrawn lately, and was describing himself as a Satanist.…
On Saturday, 38-year-old Amy Robertson was witnessed acting frantic outside of her apartment she shares with her son, 12-year-old Caden Berry.
Robertson was crying and reportedly walked into the apartment building’s courtyard and began yelling about demons.
When a neighbor asked Robertson where her son was, Robertson reportedly told her that Berry was under a blanket inside the apartment.
“There was a recliner tipped over and he was halfway on it under a blanket,” said Brenda King. “I pulled the blanket back and I could tell he was gone.”
Police were called to the scene where Berry was pronounced dead at the scene. Robertson was still at the scene when police arrived and was taken into custody.
She has been booked into the Marion County Correctional Facility without bail on an aggravated murder charge. Her next court appearance is scheduled for tomorrow.
The state medical examiner is working to determine his cause Berry’s death, so no further details on exactly how Berry died has been released.…
Police were called to the home of Larry and Courtney Taylor on Friday night after a relative went to check on the family after not hearing from them all day.
“He went over there to check on them. No one had heard from there that day,” said Sheriff Colan Harrell. “He saw a body, left and called 911.”
When deputies arrived at the home, they had to kick in a back door to gain entry. Once inside, they encountered 41-year-old Courtney Taylor who was brandishing a pistol.
“He told her to put the weapon down and she didn’t,” Harrell said.
When Taylor aimed the pistol at the deputies, Deputy Sanders shot Taylor twice, once in the chest and once in the abdomen. She was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Deputies would then find the dead bodies of Taylor’s 56-year-old husband Larry, 18-year-old daughter Jesse and 13-year-old daughter Jolee.…
Police say 64-year-old Edgard Fuentes broke into his estranged wife’s home Thursday night and poured gasoline on her as she was sleeping.
Her son, 32-year-old Eric Montes, ran to her bedroom after hearing her yell in surprise and got into a struggle with Fuentes.
Montes was also doused with gasoline in his attempts to stop Fuentes, but he was unable to prevent Fuentes from igniting the gasoline and flee the home.
The resulting fire engulfed the home, destroying it. One neighbor described what he witnessed after hearing screaming.
“When I heard some screaming, they were in the back yard. I saw the lady rolling on the floor on fire. There was another lady crying for help,” he said.
Daisy Tapia, 61, and her son were both rushed to the hospital where they remained in critical condition for hours before dying from their injuries.…
According to police, 65-year-old Rebecca Rawson went to the home of 83-year-old Eugene Matthews to retrieve a dog, Bart, that belonged to Rawson’s estranged husband, who died last week.
Matthews was a friend Rawson’s estranged husband, and took the dog in after his death.
When Rawson showed up to the home with her daughter and brother-in-law, she stayed in the car. When her brother-in-law knocked on the door, a woman answered the door and he called the dog’s name.
When Bart came to the door, he picked him up and took him back to the car. That’s when Matthews came out of the house and fired a handgun into the air twice before firing once at the car Rawson was sitting in.
The shot went through the windshield and hit Rawson in the face, killing her. Matthews’ family is saying he acted in self-defense, and that the Rawson family blasted through the gate and kicked down the front door, but the sheriff’s office said that account contradicts the evidence gathered from the scene.…
On Tuesday morning, police responded to a home after family members inside called 911 to report an assault.
When police arrived they found 52-year-old Pamela Wolosz dead inside the home, and her 16-year-old daughter seriously injured.
Police say the 12-year-old son and brother of the victims had stabbed them both multiple times with a chef’s knife that he had taken from the kitchen.
Ashland police Chief Tighe O’Meara said the 12-year-old cooperated with police and that the situation was “contained immediately and there was no threat as soon as officers got on scene.”
The boy’s sister was rushed to the hospital and is expected to survive. The boy was arrested on allegations of homicide and assault and is currently being held at a juvenile detention facility in Medford.
Although a 12-year-old can be charged as an adult, an attorney with the Jackson County District Attorney’s Office said they haven’t decided what will happen in this case.…
