WICHITA, KS – A couple have been arrested after the woman’s 3-year-old boy was found decomposing inside a block of concrete.

Miranda Miller, 36, and her boyfriend Stephen Bodine, 40, have been arrested after their ex-landlord found a cement structure inside the house they were evicted from that had a child’s body decomposing inside it.

Reports state that a landlord cleaning his property stumbled on what looked like a large cement coffin with a foul-smelling odor coming from it. He alerted police who had to bring in a forklift to remove it from the house.

Inside they would find the remains of what is, more than likely, 3-year-old Evan Brewer — who has been missing since July.

In March, Carlo Brewer contacted the Department of Children and Families claiming that his son was being abused by Miller. DCF opened an investigation and on July 6, the court had awarded a protection of abuse order for Carlo on his behalf of his son.

Incidentally, that is last day Evan was ever seen and Brewer has been trying to locate Evan ever since.…

DENVER, CO — An 82-year-old man died inside a parking garage elevator after he got stuck inside and no one answered his calls for help.

Isaak Komisarchik, who suffers from dementia, was reported missing after he was last seen wearing pajamas at 2:30 p.m. July 5 at a nearby nursing facility.

Search crews posted missing person posters as they looked for the man, and Denver firefighters ended up searching five nearby ponds.

It would be almost a month later before anyone learned Komisarchik’s fate, and it was quite horrific.

Turns out that Komisarchik had wandered nearly a mile away to the Woodstream Village apartments, where he got inside an elevator attached to a parking garage that had been closed for renovations.

For reasons unknown at this time, the man was unable to get out. During an 8-minute period, the poor guy twice used the elevator’s emergency call button, but no help came.

“The pushing of the call button did trigger a notification to the elevator management company, MEI Total Elevator Solutions.…

THORNTON, CO – Police have charged a 15-year-old boy with the murder of Kiaya Campbell, the missing 10-year-old found dead Thursday evening.

An Amber Alert was issued Thursday evening after Campbell did not return home with her 15-year-old stepbrother Wednesday night. The pair had walked to a nearby shopping center, but the boy said they became separated by a rainstorm.

Police and volunteers searched for the girl all day Thursday until her body was located in a grassy area near East 128th Ave and Jasmine Street.

“My neighbor came walking up with his phone, and I’m on my deck there. He’s like, ‘What’s your address?’ And he goes, ‘I found the 10-year-old girl,'” said a man who did not want to be identified.

Officials have not released a cause of Campbell’s death, aside from the coroner confirming her death was “other than accidental.”

On Saturday, police arrested a 15-year-old boy and charged him with first-degree murder. They have not confirmed if the suspect is Campbell’s stepbrother, the son of Campbell’s father’s girlfriend, but it is looking pretty obvious that’s exactly who it is.…

sherri-papiniREDDING, CA – A 34-year-old mother-of-two went missing during an afternoon jog last Wednesday and her family fear she was abducted.

When Keith Papini returned home from work on Wednesday he found that his wife, Sherri, and their two children were not home.

When she would not answer her cell phone and he learned their children had not been picked up from daycare, Keith used the Find My Iphone app to locate Sherri’s phone near the intersection of Old Oregon Trail and Sunrise Drive in Redding.

When he drove to the location he did not find his wife, but did find her phone with the ear-buds still plugged into the device.

“He found her phone close to the road,” said Sherri’s sister Shelia. “He called the authorities immediately.”

Investigators say that at this time they do not have any evidence pointing to an abduction, but aren’t ruling it out saying it’s still early in the investigation.

However, friends and family cannot think of any other scenario, describing Sherri as a dedicated mother who would have never left her children at daycare or intentionally disrupted their lives.…

todd-kohlheppANDERSON COUNTY, SC – A woman missing since August has been found chained like a dog inside a metal storage container, and a registered sex offender has been arrested.

Back in August, 30-year-old Kala Brown and her boyfriend, 32-year-old Charlie Carver, disappeared from their apartment leaving cell phones, a car, and their dog behind.

The faded from the news a bit until recently, when someone started posting on Carver’s Facebook page.

The person making the posts claimed the couple were fine and just decided to leave.

Their family members did not believe the posts were coming from the couple, thinking the page had either been hacked, or the handiwork of the person(s) responsible for their disappearance.

We now know the fate of Brown, who was found alive inside a storage shed on property belonging to 45-year-old Todd Kohlhepp, a registered sex offender.

Acting on a tip provided by a sex crime investigator, deputies were on the property when they heard banging coming from the storage container

Spartanburg County Sheriff Chuck Wright said Brown was “chained inside the container like a dog.

Erica ParsonsROWAN COUNTY, NC – Five years after she disappeared, and three years after she was reported missing, the skeletal remains of 13-year-old Erica Parsons have been found.

For those of you who may not remember this case, here’s a quick refresher:

Erica was adopted by Casey and Sandy Parsons when she was two weeks old. In 2013, Erica’s step-brother reported her missing, but investigators would learn no one had seen the girl since 2011.

Casey and Sandy said they’d sent her to live with a relative in Asheville, but it turned out the relative didn’t exist. Over the next several months, police searched several properties but could not find Erica.

In 2014, Casey and Sandy were convicted on 76 federal charges for taking benefits for adoption assistance during the time Erica was missing. Casey was sentenced to 10 years, and Sandy was sentenced to eight years.

In July, Erica’s aunt and adoptive sister said they believed Erica was dead and that Casey and Sandy Parsons knew where Erica’s body was located.…

Jeff WillisNORTON SHORES, MI – Three years after 25-year-old Jessica Heeringa went missing from her job as a gas station attendant, police have named a person of interest in her disappearance.

Heeringa was last seen in April of 2013 as she prepared to close up the Exxon Mobil gas station where she worked the late shift. A concerned customer called police 15 minutes after Herringa had made her last sale to report there was no employee at the open gas station.

Police believed Heeringa had been abducted from the store as her purse and keys were still there, and there was evidence she had been in the process of closing the store. Unfortunately, the gas station was not equipped with surveillance cameras but there were reports of a van in the area at the time.

Now, three years later, police think they may have the person responsible for Heeringa’s disappearance – and he may be a serial killer. Last week, 46-year-old Jeffrey Willis was charged with trying to abduct a teenage girl in April.…

Ingrid LyneSEATTLE, WA – The body parts found in a recycling bin in Seattle this weekend belong to 40-year-old Ingrid Lyne, the mother-of-three who went missing after going on a date with a man she met online.

Lyne was last seen on Friday as she left to attend the Seattle Mariners opening game with 37-year-old John Charlton, a man she met online.

Her ex-husband reported her missing the following morning when he arrived at her home to drop off their three daughters  – ranging in age from about 8 to 12 – and found she and her car were missing, although her purse and cell phone were inside the home.

Friends and family immediately began searching for Lyne while police were able to identify Charlton as the man she went on a date with the night before.

“We used some forensic evidence in dealing with telephone calls and cell towers and the usual investigative shoe leather that the homicide detectives in tracking down their leads on a regular basis. By utilizing those, we were led to a suspect early on,” said Seattle Police Assistant Chief Robert Merner.…

Paul TitchenerBRISBANE, CA – Paul Titchener killed himself by jumping off the Bay Bridge hours after the 62-year-old gave a television interview about his missing wife.

Titchener says his wife, 57-year-old Shelley Titchener, left their home the day before Valentine’s Day after they got into an argument.

He claimed she told him she was going to stay with a friend and left without her car, cell phone, laptop or bipolar disorder medication. Two days later, Titchener reported her missing.

The odd thing about his version of events is that on the day Paul reported her missing, a next-door neighbor says she talked to Shelley in their neighborhood and she was seen shopping at a mall.

Neighbors said they would sometimes hear shouting coming from the couple’s home and that there was tension when Paul moved back in after leaving for some time.

A week later this past Sunday, a fisherman found the torso of a woman floating near the Fremont shoreline, 30 miles from Titchener’s home. On Tuesday, an arm was found in the same area.…

Titus TackettIRON COUNTY, MO – Titus Tackett, the 3-year-old reported missing early this morning, was found dead this morning inside a van parked nearly a mile from home.

According to Iron County Sheriff Roger Medley, Tackett was visiting with his mother, Amber Tackett, at the home of her ex-boyfriend. The couple left the home at around midnight to run an errand, leaving the boy in the care of the boy’s grandparents.

When the couple returned around an hour later, they noticed the front door was open and the boy was not in the house. Police were called and a search began immediately that consisted of 50 volunteer searchers.

At around 11 a.m. Wednesday morning, a neighbor spotted the boy in the back of a van parked almost a mile away. He was wearing only a diaper and was wrapped in a blanket. Tackett was pronounced dead at the scene, but a cause of death was not known. An autopsy is scheduled for today.

When asked whether the public should be concerned about a “random killer” on the loose, Medley responded “No” and added that the boy’s death appears to be an isolated incident.…

Joshua MadduxWOODLAND PARK, CO – The Teller County Coroner’s Office has identified the remains found inside an abandoned cabin’s chimney as 18-year-old Joshua Maddux, who disappeared in 2008.

The remains were found last month by workers who were demolishing the cabin that has stood empty for almost 10 years. It took a month, but dental records were used to positively identify the body.

During a press conference announcing the identification, the coroner said there was no sign of foul play or trauma to the body and that it seems as if Maddux voluntarily climbed inside the chimney, probably to gain access to the inside of the cabin..

Maddux ran into serious trouble once he found that the chimney was equipped with a wood-burning stove that prevented him from getting inside the cabin. So, basically, the poor guy got himself stuck in a chimney and then died of dehydration – which can take three to four days.

I can imagine a handful of nightmare ways to die, and standing inside a chimney for days until dying of dehydration is definitely one of them.…

James BrooksJEFFERSON, OH – Alesha Bell, the 18-year-old who went missing after sending her mother a text message that she was scared, has been found dead in a backyard fire pit owned by 40-year-old James Brooks.

On July 23rd, Alesha Bell left her home on foot to visit a nearby relative. She never made it there. The following morning, her mother received a text from her daughter that read: “Mom, if I make it home, I need you. I’m scared.”

Bell’s mother said a short time later, she received another text from Bell’s phone stating she was with an unknown person from Columbus. She then started getting texts from her daughter’s phone that she knew were not from her daughter because of the grammar and punctuation used.

When anyone tried calling Bell, the calls started going straight to voicemail and Bell was never heard from again. After reporting her missing, investigators would link Bell to James Brooks, a man who says he ran an escort service from May 2014 to May 2015.…

Matthew GrahamREDDING, CA –  Matthew Graham, the man named as a person of interest in the disappearance of his 6-month-old daughter last week, is now armed and on the run.

Earlier this month, Graham called 911 report that he had woke up to find his daughter, Ember, missing from her crib.

Despite Graham’s wife and family claiming it was impossible for Graham to have hurt his daughter, police were suspicious of Graham from the onset. This was because of inconsistent statements he made to investigators, and the fact that he refused to take a lie detector test to clear him as a suspect.

“At this time we have not found any credible evidence supporting Matthew Graham’s account that Ember was abducted by a stranger or by anyone else,” the sheriff’s office said last week.

Graham was arrested for probation violation involving driving under the influence charges and a forgery conviction. However, on Wednesday he pleaded guilty to the charge and released. The judge ruled Graham didn’t have to wear a monitoring bracelet, but had to report to his probation officer weekly.…

Matthew GrahamREDDING, CA – Authorities are now saying that 24-year-old Matthew Graham is officially a person of interest in the disappearance of his 6-month-old daughter, Ember Graham.

At around 5:26 a.m. Thursday morning, Graham called 911 report that his daughter had vanished from her crib. He told police that he last saw Ember about 10:30 p.m. the night before and she was gone when he woke up.

Police began doubting Graham’s version of events before the day was out, mostly because of inconsistent statements he made to the Shasta County sheriff’s investigators.

Graham’s father told reporters that his son’s truck was also captured on surveillance cameras driving around that night. His father added that this was not surprising, as his son did this before whenever Ember got fussy.

“I mean who hasn’t driven around with a baby in the car to get them to settle down, because they fall asleep in cars, you know?” Wayne Graham said.

Graham was arrested for probation violation after he admitted to investigators that he had smoked medical marijuana even though his prescription had expired.…

Tonya SlatonHAMPTON, VA – Police have arrested 44-year-old Tonya Slaton after the remains of her son, missing since 2004, were found in the trunk of her car.

Slaton was pulled over by a state trooper on the morning of June 6 for driving her Ford Mustang on expired tags. When the trooper asked Slaton about a large white spot on the floor behind the driver’s seat, Slaton explained it was from bleach.

The trooper asked Slaton if she had anything in the trunk of her car, she claimed she only had clothes in her trunk. When the trooper decided to look for himself, he reported the smell of rotted flesh as soon as the trunk was opened.

The source of the smell was the corpse of Slaton’s biological son, Quincy Jamar Davis, who has been missing since 2004. His body was in two plastic bags wrapped in duct tape. The boy has not been seen since 2004 when he was in seventh-grade at Virginia Beach Middle School.

Slaton never filed a missing person report, and it doesn’t seem as the kid had anyone who cared enough about him to notify authorities that he had simply disappeared.…

Carrie Bradshaw-Crowther

UPDATE – Bradshaw-Crowther was found alive and safe Monday in Boone, NC. A post on her brother’s Facebook page indicates that ” Carrie is presently hospitalized and is receiving much needed medical care….While it is unfortunate, we no longer expect a new addition to our family and ask for your continued prayers. We respect the HIPPA [sic] laws and we feel that releasing any more information should be in Carrie’s discretion after she has the opportunity to heal.”

SALISBURY, NC – About an hour before her scheduled 6:00 a.m. C-section last Tuesday, 49-year-old Carrie Bradshaw-Crowther disappeared.

As those of you obsessed with fertility and baby production already have concluded, Bradshaw-Crowther’s pregnancy is considered high risk; additionally, according to her 26-year-old daughter Lauren Lusk, her mother has a medical condition that requires a C-section.

Lusk and her wife Shelbi drove into Salisbury the preceding Saturday to help get the house ready for the baby; early Tuesday, she (and, presumably, Shelbi) ran out to gas up her vehicle for the drive to Charlotte.…
