Timothy Bosma Missing After Taking Two Men For Test Drive In Truck He Was Selling OnlineOntario, Canada – Ontario police are asking for the public’s help in locating 32-year-old Timothy Bosma, who was last seen Monday after taking two men for a test drive in the pickup truck he was trying to sell online.

Bosma was reported missing by his wife Monday night after he never returned home from meeting two men interested in buying his black 2007 Dodge Ram 3500 diesel pickup with the Ontario licence number 726 7ZW.  On Thursday afternoon, police found Bosma’s cellphone in an industrial complex in west Brantford.

Police were able to track the cellphone they believed the suspects used to contact Bosma which led them to a man in Etobicoke. He told police he was also selling a truck and had met two men that he took on a test drive. He said the men were suspicious and he found it odd that they arrived at his business on foot. They did not buy the truck, and the man was not harmed.

“He thought it was odd, because of the size of the vehicle. It’s more of a business vehicle than a personal vehicle,” said Det.…

Jessica Heeringa Disappeared From Late Night Shift at Gas Station, Police Asking For Publics HelpNORTON SHORES, MI – Police are asking for the public’s help in finding 25-year-old Jessica Heeringa, an Exxon Mobil gas station attendant believed to have been abducted from her job.

Heeringa made her last sale at 11 p.m. Friday night, but 15 minutes later a concerned customer called police to report there were no employee at the open gas station.

According to Heeringa’s mother, her daughter’s purse and keys were found in the store and their was evidence she had been preparing to close up the store.

“She was going to get out in 15 minutes,” Shelly Heeringa, Jessica’s mother, told ABC News. “In 15 minutes that store would’ve been closed and she would’ve been on her way home.”

Norton Shores Police Chief Daniel Shaw said it does not appear robbery was the motive, as the store’s cash drawer was left untouched.

There are no surveillance cameras at the gas station, which I bet won’t be the case for much longer, so police are asking for the public’s help.

Norton Shores Police Department have received one tip that has investigators searching for a silver minivan, possibly a Chrysler Town & Country, that was last seen in the area prior to Heeringa’s disappearance.…

Missing Teen Found Strangled To Death In Park

February 4, 2013 at 8:57 pm by

Missing Teen Found Strangled To Death In ParkFairfield, CA – Slow news day today. Aside from that nut in the bunker getting himself dead, I couldn’t really find anything I felt like writing up. But I did find one story out of California that doesn’t seem to be getting covered by the major news outlets, and that’s the death of 13-year-old Genelle Conway Allen.

Genelle was in foster care and reported missing on Thursday after she didn’t return home from Green Valley Middle School. On Friday, her nude body was found lying face down  on a cement median in Allan Witt Park.

“I got closer and closer. And the closer I got to her, the more it became real. And then I got right up to her, and I realized that was a human body,” said Eric May who initially thought Genelle’s body was a mannequin. “I tried to wake her up. I did. Absolutely. Look, I got three layers of clothes on. I know how to survive the cold. I was ready to take my outer clothes off and give it to her.”

There aren’t a lot of details, but reports are that Genelle was strangled. Investigators stated they won’t announce whether the teen was sexually assaulted for another six weeks.…

Two Bodies Found By Hunters Believed To Be Missing Iowa GirlsEvansdale, Iowa — Kinda sad that I post so many of these stories (3,333 articles so far) that I totally forgot about the two girls who went missing in Iowa over the summer. But this afternoon, Blackhawk County authorities announced that hunters had found two bodies that may be linked to the disappearance of Lyric Cook-Morrissey and Elizabeth Collins.

Authorities say the bodies were found by hunters at 12:45 p.m. today. What they would not say was where the bodies were found or if the bodies were actually those of the girls. However, they did mentioned the missing persons investigation and said the bodies led them to believe the search for the girls would not have a positive outcome.

“It’s definitely not the outcome that we wanted,” said County sheriff’s Capt. Rick Abben as he appeared to fight back tears. The bodies have been sent to the state examiner’s office for positive identification.

Lyric Cook-Morrissey, 10, and her cousin Elizabeth Collins, 8, were last seen leaving their grandmother’s home after being given permission to go out on a short bike ride on July 13.…

Israel Keyes, Accused Killer Of Samantha Koenig, Found Dead In His CellAnchorage, Alaska –  Israel Keyes, the man who confessed to abducting and murdering 18-year-old Samantha Koenig, was found dead in his cell Sunday morning from an apparent suicide.

Karen Loeffler, the U.S. Attorney for Alaska, held a news conference Sunday afternoon informing the press that Keyes had been found dead in his cell at the Anchorage Jail that morning. They dd not reveal how he killed himself, only that foul play was not suspected and that he was alone in his cell at the time of his death.

Koenig disappeared while working as a barista at a coffee stand in Anchorage. Even with surveillance video capturing Koenig being abducted by an armed man wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt and baseball cap, it took months before police in Texas would announce they had arrested 34-year-old Israel “Izzy” Keyes after he used Koenig’s stolen debit card.

Shortly after the self-employed contractor’s arrest, he would confess to murdering Koening and told investigators where her body could be found. Dive teams would find Koenig’s body trapped under the ice of Matanuska Lake.…

Female Body Found, Man Commits Suicide During Search For Missing WomanSANFORD, MI – A man committed suicide Wednesday when police arrived at his home looking for Leigh Swanson, the 45-year-old missing for over a week, and a female body was found nearby.

Swanson has not been seen since meeting a man online and going out on a date with him on Nov 16. Initially nervous about the date, Swanson went anyway and called her mother later to tell her everything was fine. Two days later, Swanson called her mother to say she would be home in a few hours. That’s the last time anyone has had contact with her.

Police ended up tracing the phone call she made to a home in Edenville Township. When they arrived at the home and approached the front door, they heard a gunshot and took cover. Shortly after, a man came out of the home while on the phone with 911. He told police his son had just shot himself. Police would find the body of a 28-year-old man inside the home. His identity has not been released.…

Body Of Alicia Moore Found In Trunk On Side of RoadGreenville, TX – The body found in a trunk on the side of a Texas highway has been identified as Alicia Moore, the 16-year-old who disappeared after getting off her school bus last week.

Surveillance camera footage captured Moore as she exited her school bus at 3:25 p.m. Friday, one block from her home. Her family contacted police that night, but they said that Moore was considered a runaway and to wait until Monday. An Amber Alert was (rightfully) not issued, as it did not fit the criteria, and a press release would not be issued about Moore until Monday.

With no other recourse, Moore’s family turned to social networks to get the word out and handed out fliers. On Tuesday, a body was discovered 40 miles away inside a furniture trunk alongside a rural stretch of Texas highway. That body would later be identified as Alicia Moore’s. An official cause of death has not been released, but the case is being treated as a homicide.

During a press conference yesterday, Greenville Police Chief Dan Busken said there was trauma to the body. ”We have a lot of work ahead of us with this investigation,” Busken said.…

Body Of Missing NJ Girl Found Inside Recycling BinClayton, NJ – At the time I typed this, officials have not officially identified the body that was found in a recycling container, but they preliminarily identified the body as that of Autumn Pasquale, the 12-year-old who was reported missing on Saturday.

Authorities said Pasquale was last seen around 12:30 p.m. Saturday riding her bike. A friend of her said that she exchanged text messages with her that day, the last one received at 1:22 p.m. that she did not believe was intended for her. She said the message read, “don’t be like that.”

Police say the last text she sent was at around 2.30 p.m.  and that there was nothing alarming or unusual about it. She was reported missing at 9:30 p.m. after not arriving home by her 8 p.m. curfew. By Monday, about 200 law enforcement officials and hundreds of volunteers were out looking for her. By 10 p.m., she was found.

Investigators have not said exactly where in Clayton her body was located, other than saying that it was a few blocks from her home inside a recycling bin. An autopsy is to be conducted today to positively identify the body is Pasquale’s. Investigators say they have talked to at least 75 people, but that they do not have any suspects or know she left on her own or was the victim of foul play.…

Police At Home Of Kortne Stouffer Twice The Night She VanishedPALMYRA, Pa. - I normally don’t like posting missing adult stories, but since there really isn’t anything else going on today I feel like writing about, here’s one making the rounds today.

Kortne Stouffer, 21, vanished from her apartment in the early morning hours of July 29 after hanging out with a group of friends. Stouffer had returned to her apartment with an old friend she had reconnected with recently when, at around 3 a.m., she got into an altercation with her downstairs neighbor over her dog. Police were called and they ended up telling both Stouffer and her neighbors to return to their apartments.

An hour later, the downstairs neighbors made a second call to 911 because they heard “stomping and banging” coming from Stouffer’s apartment. When police arrived they found the lights were off in Stouffer’s apartment and no one answered the door when they knocked. So they left.

At 7:30, the man who stayed the night with Stouffer says he woke up to find her gone and left. He was captured on surveillance camera inside a nearby convenience store where he texted Stouffer: “”I left.…

Son Of Murder Suspect Trades Blows With Witness For ProsecutionJACKSON MO. — Camera’s were rolling yesterday when the son of James Clay Waller, a man charged with murdering his wife, confronted a witness for the prosecution outside the courthouse before the two traded some punches.

It happened outside the Cape Girardeau County Courthouse during a 10-minute break from Waller’s preliminary hearing. His son, J.C. Waller, can be seen confronting Matt Marshall, one of the prosecution’s 17 witnesses testifying against  J.C.’s old man.

Words are exchanged leading to Marshall punching J.C. in the face. J.C. returns fire and the pair get into a minor brawl. The fight ends when a group of women step in and pull J.C. off of Marshall, who had fallen on the ground. Police arrested both men shortly after.

Check out the video. If you can’t see it because of work related restrictions, trust me when I say you aren’t missing much.

We posted about this case back in July of last year, which I will now recap for those of you who may be click impaired.…

Body Of Samantha Koenig Found In Alaska Lake; Suspect In CustodyAnchorage, Alaska – Police are pretty positive the body recovered from an Alaska lake yesterday belongs to 18-year-old Samantha Koenig, who went missing in February, and they have a suspect in custody.

Koenig disappeared while working as a barista at a coffee stand in Anchorage. When her boyfriend arrived to pick her up, she was not there and the Common Grounds stand had been locked up. A co-worker arrived the next morning to find the security alarm had not been set, money was missing and some of Koenig’s belongings were still in the stand.

A check of surveillance video would solve part of the mystery, as a man wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt and baseball cap can be seen forcing Koenig to accompany him. Based on Koenig’s demeanor and the man’s actions, detectives stated there was no doubt she had been abducted.

After months of few leads or information being released to the press, police in Texas arrested 34-year-old Israel “Izzy” Keyes in connection to Koenig’s disappearance. Keyes is a self-employed contractor whose website states he moved to Alaska in 2007 to start his own business.…

Has Hailey Dunn Been Found?

March 23, 2012 at 8:12 am by

Has Hailey Dunn Been Found?Big Spring, TX - Hailey Dunn, the missing thirteen-year-old from Colorado City, Texas, may have been found.  Fifteen months after her December 2010 disappearance, a body was located on Tuesday afternoon near an air park in Big Spring. UPDATE 12:07 PM 3/23/12 – Apparently not. The body, on autopsy, appears male and is not Hailey Dunn.  So that’s that – and Hailey is still missing. (imp)

Hailey’s case captured the nation’s attention at the time of her disappearance because Nancy Freakin’ Grace put up Hailey’s eighth grade cheerleader picture and called her “Missing Texas Cheerleader” in one of the more egregious cases of Missing White Girl Syndrome we’ve ever seen.

Within weeks, though, even the ol’ NG was off the case when it became clear that Hailey’s family life was more jacked up than a vintage Chevy in a redneck’s front yard.

From early on, it was clear to many of Hailey’s supporters that the bright, funny teenager was probably dead. Both her mother, Billie Dunn, and her mother’s boyfriend, Shawn Adkins, reportedly failed polygraphs regarding the circumstances of Hailey’s disappearance.…

Body Of Jasmen Gonzalez Has Been FoundCarrollton, Texas — The child’s body found Sunday afternoon has been positively identified by the Dallas County Medical Examiner as 10-year-old Jasmen Gonzalez, who went missing Saturday night.

Jasmen and her parents are from Oklahoma and were in Texas visiting relatives. On Saturday a party was held at the home where they were staying and Jasmen was reported missing shortly before midnight.

Initial reports stated the girl may have been sleepwalking and gotten lost in an unfamiliar neighborhood, but those reports were later dismissed with police saying the girl had been abducted.

Her body was found on Sunday afternoon, a few blocks from the home she vanished from. According to a police affidavit, there was no shirt on Jasmen’s body, and her pants and underwear were pulled down. The medical examiner reported Jasmen died from a stab wound to the chest.

Family Finds Body Parts In Dead Mans Storage LockerLEWISTON, Maine - The whereabouts of a woman who went missing 28 years ago may have been discovered after a body was found in a freezer owned by a man who died recently.

Frank Julian was 52-years-old when his on-again-off-again girlfriend, 29-year-old Kitty Wardwell, went missing back in 1983. Julian was the last person to see her alive and told authorities that the last time he saw her was when he dropped her off at a motel after a fight.

Wardwell has never been seen or heard from since and police said she probably was the victim of foul play. Julian was interviewed by police on several occasions, but never got enough evidence to warrant searching his property. Now the mystery of what happened to Wardell may have been solved after Julian died unexpectedly on October 1.

Some of Julian’s family members were cleaning out a storage unit he rented when they found an unplugged freezer that contained a gruesome surprise; human body parts.

The freezer was removed with the remains inside to be taken to the chief medical examiner for an autopsy and DNA test. The autopsy report and DNA test results may be released as early as today.…

Police Still Searching For 3 Year Old Aliayah LunsfordWESTON, W.Va. - A 3-year-old girl has been missing since Saturday and the outcome is not looking like it will be a good one.

Hundreds of volunteers have joined authorities in their search for 3-year-old Aliayah Lunsford, but after two days of looking, a sheriff’s department lieutenant said they “haven’t come up with anything.”

The girl was last seen by her mother and an older sister sleeping in her bed around 6:30 a.m., Saturday morning.  When her mother went to take her temperature a few hours later, she was gone.

Aliayah’s stepfather had already been picked up and left for work so her mother jumped into her car and drove around looking for her daughter, running out of gas in the process. She called the police at around 11:30.

Since then police, along with K-9 units and hundreds of volunteers, have been looking for the girl.  Divers are in nearby waters after a bloodhound detected Aliayah’s scent near a river located 150 yards from her home. The scent, however, could be three to seven days old.…

Disappearance Of Susan Powell

September 26, 2011 at 4:34 pm by

Disappearance Of Susan PowellWest Valley City, Utah – Over the last couple of years, I have always meant to write up something regarding Susan Powell, the 28-year-old from Utah who vanished over two years ago. No real reason why I didn’t, but I think at the time she disappeared we were posting on a handful of missing women. So here’s my all-in-one post spurred by the recent arrest of her creepy father-in-law.

Susan was last seen by her husband and person of interest, Josh Powell, who told authorities that the last time he saw his wife was right before he took their two sons, ages 2 and 4, on a midnight camping trip during a snow storm.

According to Josh, she wasn’t feeling well and decided not to go. When he returned home the following day, Susan was nowhere to be found, although she had left her purse, cell phone, and car behind. She has not been seen or heard from since.

Of course no one is buying Josh’s alibi as it is retarded.…

Missing Nebraska Girl Found Murdered, Stepfather ChargedMitchell, Neb. – I’m sure a lot of you have already gotten the bad news, but for those of you who did not hear, they have found the body of 8-year-old Kerra Wilson and have arrested her stepfather.

Wilson’s family reported her missing Wednesday afternoon after her school called and informed them she had never shown up that day.

Her stepfather, 32-year-old Salvador Carlos Lopez, claimed to have dropped her off at Mitchell Elementary that morning. But following interviews with school staff and Wilson’s classmates, as well as video surveillance footage, police do not believe him and determined Wilson was never on school grounds that day.

Yesterday evening a local rancher contacted authorities and told them he had found something suspicious and felt they should come check out an area of land. There, within some rugged terrain a few miles north of Mitchell, investigators would find Wilson’s dead body. Based on evidence found at the scene, Lopez was arrested and charged with first-degree murder.

“We were hoping to bring Kerra (Wilson) safely home to her family; sadly we weren’t able to do that,” said Lt.…

Remains Of Breeann Rodriguez Have Been Found

August 17, 2011 at 2:28 pm by

Remains Of Breeann Rodriguez Have Been FoundKENNETT, Mo. – Police say they’ve found the remains of Breeann Rodriguez, the 3-year-old girl who went missing on August 6 while riding her bicycle in front of her house.

The remains were found Tuesday evening by an officer of the Missouri State Highway Patrol Water Patrol, who was searching by boat. Her body was found near the floodway ditches northeast of Hornersville, Missouri, about 8 to 10 miles from the girl’s home.

Shortly after the discovery, Breeann’s parents were notified.

“We appreciate all the help and support from the community in what has been a difficult time for all,” Dunklin County Sheriff Bob said. “We are saddened to confirm our fears, but glad we have been able to recover her for her parents.”

One of Breeann’s neighbors, 43-year-old Shawn Morgan was arrested earlier this week and charged with the little girl’s murder.

He told police that he grabbed Breeann and took her in his house after finding her standing on a ladder by the pool in his backyard. According to the affidavit, the father of three then used a white plastic trash bag to suffocate the girl, by holding it over her face and mouth.…

Neighbor Charged With The Murder Of Missing Missouri GirlKENNETT, Mo. – A neighbor has been arrested and charged with the murder of Breeann Rodriguez, the 3-year-old who went missing on August 6 while riding bicycles with her 6-year-old brother.

The little girl vanished right outside her home after her brother went inside to get a drink. This lead to a massive search that included billboards displaying the girl’s picture, the search of a couple cargo vans seen in the area and a $45,000 reward.

The search intensified after the girl’s training wheels were found near her home on Thursday. But on Saturday, police announced they had someone in custody and had charged them with the girl’s murder.

Police say they will continue to search for the girl’s body, but that 43-year-old Shawn Morgan suffocated Rodriguez on the day she went missing. He has now been charged with first-degree murder, armed criminal action and tampering with physical evidence.

I did not follow this case very closely. I just remember them finding her training wheels and then over the weekend, heard that both of Breeann’s parents had failed polygraph tests.…
