Woman Bragged I Burned Down A Tree Older Than Jesus.Winter Park, FL - For roughly 3500-years, a historic pond cypress tree at Big Tree Park in Longwood, Florida had managed to survive everything that the world could throw at it. Then along came 26-year-old Florida resident Sara Barnes.

The tree was called “The Senator” – a reference to Florida Sen. M. O. Overstreet who donated the park property to the public in 1927. At 3500-years-old, the tree was regarded as the world’s oldest pond cypress tree and, in fact, the fifth oldest tree in the world. It stood about 120 feet tall with a diameter of nearly 18 feet. The tree was the main attraction in the Big Tree Park. In the early morning of Jan. 16, the tree collapsed after catching fire.

Authorities said that two Crimeline tips led the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services to Barnes. The tips reportedly told authorities of cellphone pictures of the fire taken by Barnes.  One source told local news media that  Barnes – self-described as an aspiring model – had shown the pics to pals and bragged, “I can’t believe I burned down a tree older than Jesus.”

Deputies and agents served a search warrant at Barnes home.…

Raccoon Cookout Leads To Meth Charges

October 29, 2011 at 3:15 am by

Raccoon Cookout Leads To Meth Charges Memphis, TN – A late night raccoon roast in the parking lot of a downtown Memphis apartment complex hosted by a unidentified man led to the man’s brother, Adam Eubank, 26, being arrested on meth charges. I hate when that happens.

The raccoon cookout reportedly went into the wee hours of the night – at some point drawing the attention of authorities. Investigating officers say that several large knives and buckets of an unknown material prompted them to call in the department’s meth officers. That led to a search of the apartment shared by the host of the raccoon soiree and his brother.

Eubank – who police say has purchased cold medicine used to manufacture methamphetamine nearly three dozen times in the past year – was arrested and charged with promoting the manufacture of meth. He’s being held on $75,000 bond.

Eubank’s brother remains under intense investigation by the Memphis Division of the Paula Deen Culinary Task Force.

13-yr Old Turned Parents In For Drug Use

April 27, 2010 at 11:00 am by

Clovis, NM- On April 23, investigators served a search warrant at a residence in Clovis after a 13-year old child reported that their parents were addicted to drugs and using them on a regular basis inside the home. The child claimed the home was a continuous environment of fighting, drinking, and drug abuse and they were scared for their safety and the safety of their siblings. The child also said they had found a bag containing drugs in the house and hid them from the parents. Agents searched the home and found this bag and identified its contents as methamphetamine. They also searched a garbage container behind the house and found a bag containing mail belonging to one of the parents, beer cans, and numerous items used to consume methamphetamine. These items included 33 individual pieces of burned aluminum foil, known as “rails”, and straws which facilitate the ingestion of the drug. All the items contained residue that tested positive for methamphetamine. …

James Boyer Had a Very Strange Collection

February 20, 2010 at 3:42 am by

Alexandria, LA – This week, Rapides Parish deputies and U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force members visited the Alexandria home of 44-year-old James Randolph Boyer since the man was wanted on several contempt-of-court warrants. Unfortunately, Boyer’s attempt to outfox the law failed miserably, as the officers were completely on their game Tuesday and immediately noticed the methamphetamine lab hiding in plain sight. After getting a search warrant, Boyer’s home was thoroughly searched, and Boyer was arrested and charged with creating and operating a meth lab, distribution of meth, and reckless handling of hazardous materials. However, it isn’t the meth lab and apparent drug paraphenalia that really got the officers’ attention: it was the numerous syringes full of blood that were stashed throughout the house.…

Man Kills Brother With Homemade Samurai Sword

November 24, 2009 at 10:44 am by

COQUILLE, OREGON – Drugs and alcohol played a role in an argument between two brothers that left one dead from being stabbed with a sword.  Just after 2:30 a.m Sunday, police were called to the trailer where the two men lived and found Lee Edwin Wallace, 38, semi-conscious with a stab wound to the side. He was transported to the hospital, but was pronounced dead later that morning. His brother, Nathan Wallace, 41, was arrested for murder and possession of methamphetamine. A story about meth, a trailer and a sword? I’m shocked. I did shoot my brother in the head with a pellet gun once. It was a total accident.…

Brooke Watts Is An Unholy Mess

September 9, 2009 at 5:58 pm by

St. Bernard, OhioBrooke Watts has been in a hell of a mess.   Unfortunately, Brooke’s kids were living in it with her.   Watts, 27, was arrested on Tuesday night after police officers found her and her three children, ages1, 4, and 7, living in filth.  Bonus, there were meth ingredients lying around.  Double plus bonus, the kids all had head lice and bugs were everywhere – even in the food in the refrigerator.  Well, that’ll put me right back on my diet.    Fortunately for the kids, a social worker did her job and alerted the cops after she showed up to visit the family and found that despite repeated warnings, the place was an unlivable nightmare of ewww.   I know, right?  A repeat visit, and the place still had masses of messes all up in it?  But of course, my darling denizens.  Because cleaning the house before Child Protective Services drops by just feels wrong, somehow, y’know? …

Federal Way, WashingtonI must admit, I have a very vivid imagination. Too vivid. When I come across stories like this, they play out in my head, over and over, in high def…whether I want them to or not. It’s a curse. Shit like this keeps me up at night, my brain buzzing with questions. My biggest question, in this case, is…Timothy, do you take your little show on the road? I’d pay handsomely if you would show up at my upcoming family reunion.…

Noelle Wood Says Shes Not A Horrible Mother

Eustis, FL – She’s wrong. Noelle Wood, 26, might have been a good mother once. Maybe even as recently as a year ago. But a little time and lot of meth make all the difference. What probably started as a weight loss program, or a little something to get her through the day, ended this week with Noelle Wood losing her children and being charged with neglect. …
