Michael Klunder Abducted Two Girls Then Kills Self; One Girl Still Missing

DAYTON, IA – The search for 15-year-old Kathlynn Shepard is still ongoing after she and a 12-year-old girl were both abducted by 42-year-old Michael Klunder, a registered sex offender who committed suicide hours after the younger girl escaped.
Authorities say Klunder abducted the two girls after they got off a school bus on Monday, luring the girls into his truck with the promise of them making money cutting grass. He then took the girls to a hog confinement farm about 15 miles south of Dayton.
There’s not a lot of details regarding what happened once the girls were at the farm, but the younger girl somehow managed to escape Klunder and make a run for it. She ended up at a neighboring farm where two men found the girl as she was crawling to them underneath a wire fence.
She was wearing shorts and a T-shirt, but had no shoes. She also had a thick zip tie cable around one of her wrists that one of the men cut free before grabbing a gun and running towards the hog confinement facility.…

SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA – Police in Sacramento are asking for the public’s help in locating a man who grabbed a 7-year-old girl walking with her mother and threw her in the trunk of a car before driving off.
According to reports, the girl was walking with her mother Saturday afternoon when a man pulled up to them in a dark green or blue four-door Sedan with tinted windows. He got out of his car, snatched the girl in broad daylight, then tossed her in the trunk before speeding off. Luckily, the girl was able to escape because when the man tried shutting the trunk, her foot kept the lid from closing all the way.
Christina Covey said she heard tires screeching and ran out of her house to see what was going on. She saw the girl laying on the ground after she had tumbled out of the trunk of the suspect’s car, which was still nearby. The girl got up and ran to Covey and her husband telling them, “he stole me; he stole me.”
By this time, the man had already taken off in his car and rounded a corner.…

Georgetown Township, MI – Police in Michigan have arrested an 11-year-old boy after they say he abducted a 6-year-old boy last week.
The 6-year-old was playing in his front yard last Wednesday afternoon when the older boy lured him out of his yard, grabbed him the neck and jacket, then forcefully led him down the street and across some railroad tracks.
Ottawa County Sheriff’s Lt. Mark Bennett did not give much details about what the 11-year-old did or said to lure the boy out of his yard aside from stating that it was “rather intricate for an 11-year-old to come up with.”
When the stepmother of the younger boy noticed her son was no longer playing in the yard, she went out and began searching for him. Lucky for her, a school bus driver had noticed the two boys walking down the street and felt something wasn’t right. Matteson, IL – Xenia Jaimes and her parents are facing a slew of very serious charges after police say they kidnapped and beat Xenia’s former boyfriend after he threatened to post nude images of the 18-year-old.
According to court records, the 19-year-old victim was having a casual sexual relationship with 18-year-old Xenia Jaimes. At some point during their relationship, Xenia stripped during a video chat and allowed the victim to photograph her nude with his cell phone.
Things between the two turned sour after Xenia went to a social networking website and accused the victim of stealing her iPad. The teen claims he had taken the device by mistake and had immediately returned it. When he discovered her online accusation, he threatened to post some of the nude photographs of Xenia he had if she didn’t call him to talk about the alleged theft.
On Jan 15, Xenia texted the victim and told him to come to her family’s house so they could talk. Once the teen arrived at the home, Xenia led him down to the basement where he was ambushed by five people wearing ski masks and holding metal pipes and, in the case of one of the masked individuals, a walking crutch.…

PORT RICHEY, FL – A mother in Florida is praising a group of teenagers for possibly saving the lives of two children after a man tried grabbing them while they were visiting a local park.
At around dusk Saturday, 28-year-old Sharaya Smith said she’d taken her young daughter and nephew to play at Lake Lisa Park and eat pizza. As they walked through the park’s parking lot, she noticed a group of teenagers playing loud music, kissing and cursing. “We’re trying to have a pizza party,” Smith remembers telling them. “And my kids don’t need to hear your mouths.”
A short while later, while her daughter and nephew played on a slide, she noticed 34-year-old Bienvenido Cintron nearby. He was disheveled, wearing a tan trench coat, and spouting out verses from the Bible he was carrying. Cintron made his way over to Smith, who had already collected the two children, and began yelling at her, stating he was Obama and was sent to rid the world of drug dealers and prostitutes.
According to Smith, Cintron grabbed 3-year-old Dante Moretti-Taylor’s arm and tried to wrench him from Smith’s grasp while calling him a drug dealer. Cintron then grabbed 4-year-old Tatiana Ortega by the hair and one of her arms, calling her a prostitute.…

WEST GOSHEN, PA - Lirim Rufati, a 24-year-old West Goshen man, is facing kidnapping and rape charges after he allegedly abused and raped his wife for about a year the tried to deport her as punishment for talking to police.
The victim, who is not being named by police, is a 22-year-old Macedonian citizen who met Rufati in her home country. Rufati was introduced to the woman and her family by his uncle. The families arranged the marriage and the couple moved to the United States shortly after their vows.
While in the States, the victim became friends with a neighbor and informed her that Rufati was repeatedly abusing her. She asked the neighbor to call police if she ever heard screams or any other unusual sounds coming from her apartment. On Jan 2, that neighbor called police after hearing an altercation in Rufati’s apartment.
Police interviewed the victim and she told them that Rufati had been abusing her, physically and sexually, for almost a year. Police ended up taking her to a hotel for the night, but Rufati tracked her down the next day.…

Caleb “Damn, he’d be really fucking hot if he lost some of that excess hair” Grotberg, 32, was recently booked on a laundry list of charges after allegedly strangling his girlfriend with his dreadlocks.
Police were called to the couple’s home early Monday morning, where they learned from the girlfriend that Grotberg had assaulted her and attempted to strangle her with his hair after the two argued.
Grotberg was not at the scene when officers arrived, but was quickly picked up after the victim described his ‘do.
He’s now behind bars, facing domestic violence-related charges that include kidnapping, attempted assault, assault, menacing and strangulation.
The woman was taken to a Portland hospital for treatment to numerous injuries, none of which were considered life-threatening.

Upper Darby, PA – Three teens have been arrested after police say they kidnapped a woman in front of a bar on Christmas, then drove around raping her for five hours.
“These guys treated her like dirt,” said Upper Darby Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood. “They were total animals as far as I’m concerned.”
The 22-year-old victim was sitting in her Jeep Cherokee in the parking lot of George’s Water Ice waiting for her boyfriend to arrive. At about 11:40 p.m., Kevin Jones, Kewon Matthews and Brehon Rawlings forced their way into her vehicle at gunpoint and made her get into the backseat.
For the next five hours, police say the men beat the woman and took turns forcing her to perform sex acts on them, even though she was repeatedly vomiting on them. After robbing her of her Coach purse, wallet, car stereo, cellphone, camera, GPS, ruby ring, diamond necklace, bracelet and her insurance and registration paperwork, they threw her keys under the car and fled on foot.
The woman waited a few minutes before retrieving her keys and driving to her boyfriend’s house.…

Knoxville, TN — Robert Atkins, 31, is facing a whole slew of charges after allegedly roughing up his ex-girlfriend/baby mamma and taking off with her infant because she refused to make his dumb ass some Kool-Aid.
Atkins apparently showed up at the woman’s house in the early morning hours of December 10. Because a restraining order was in place, the woman pleaded with Atkins’ ride to take him away… she didn’t want him there. Atkins, apparently unfazed by a piece of paper that says where he can and can’t be, refused to leave.
I’m assuming he entered the woman’s home and made himself comfortable. Around 4:30 that morning, he demanded the woman whip him up a batch of Kool-Aid. When she refused, Atkins reportedly attacked, hitting the woman in the face.
The woman tried to escape into the bathroom, but Atkins followed and continued to assault her.
The woman told police Atkins took her keys and cellphone and placed a couch in front of the front door. She said she contemplated sneaking out a bedroom window, but Atkins had their 3-month-old son.…

Forest Hills, NY – Gilberto Valle, a married 6-year veteran of the New York Police Department, was arrested in Queens yesterday on charges that he was conspiring to kidnap, rape, cook, and eat a number of female acquaintances.
Pretty much all the evidence against the 28-year-old Valle is in the form of e-mails and instant messages which discussed his plans to “kidnap, rape, torture, kill, cook and eat body parts of a number of women,” according to the complaint against the officer. Though Valle, who works at the 26th Precinct in Manhattan, never actually followed through on any of his plans, the evidence was enough to officially charge him with federal kidnapping conspiracy.
It’s pretty clear that Valle put some serious thought into his plots though. In one conversation with a co-conspirator, he mentioned that he would like cook someone “over a low heat, keep her alive as long as possible,” according to the complaint, which describes two specific plans.
The first plan allegedly involved a $5,000 kidnap-for-hire in which Valle believed that his customer was interested in raping the woman in question.…

SALT LAKE CITY, UT – Terry Lee Black, the 41-year-old man accused of kidnapping, raping and murdering 6-year-old Sierra Newbold, made his first court appearance today.
For those of you who missed the story, Sierra was reported missing by her mother on the morning of June 26 after she woke up to find that her daughter was not in the house. Thirty minutes later, the little girl was found dead, floating face down in a nearby canal.
Autopsy reports would show that Sierra died from drowning, but that she had also been raped, strangled and beaten.
A video camera mounted on Newbold’s home captured a man entering through a sliding glass door at around 3:00 a.m. and leave moments later carrying something. Police would also find Sierra’s pink pajama bottoms and underwear in a burnt out field a short distance from Sierra’s home.
Three days later, Black was arrested shortly after robbing a Wells Fargo bank in West Jordan. He got caught after leaving the bank and returning to a Jeep he had stolen earlier.…

Chicago, IL - Police were able to track down a man who robbed a Radio Shack store using the global positioning equipment that was stolen in the robbery.
According to police, Raymond Jefferson, 20, entered a south Chicago Radio Shack Friday night, threatened the people inside with a handgun, bound them with plastic ties, took their cell phones, and then fled with $17,000 in electronic merchandise from the store.
Unfortunately for Jefferson, among the stolen items was one or more with global positioning that reportedly led officers to him. Police arrested Jefferson approximately two hours after the robbery.
It is clear that the quick apprehension using the GPS technology saved both time and effort. Not so long ago, Jefferson would have been forced to take a photograph of himself alongside the merchandise using a stolen camera, upload it to the internet using a stolen laptop, and then contact police using a stolen phone to direct them to the evidence of his crime.
Technology rewards us in so many ways.

TURNERS FALLS, MA – Police have arrested six people in connection to the abduction and beating of a homeless teenager.
According to Montague Police Staff Sergeant Chip Dodge, a family got pissed after their 14-year-old daughter told them she had been hit by Branden Stebbins, a 19-year-old homeless teenager.
The girl’s mother, Dawn Shafer, decided not to contact police and inform them of her daughter’s allegations and reportedly asked a few friends to help her track down Stebbins and give him the what-for.
When they finally found the teen in a park, the group decided to dole out a bit of street justice. After duct taping the teen, they placed him in their vehicle and brought him back to their home where a neighbor watched seven people beat Stebbins with baseball bats.
Before police arrived, the group placed Stebbins back in the vehicle and had already left the scene. This is also about the time that Johny Lopez, one of Stebbins’ attackers and the alleged ringleader, threatened to rape and murder Stebbins.
Deciding not to find out if Lopez was serious on either of his threats, Stebbins jumped out of the moving vehicle. Despite having his arm ran over, Stebbins was able to run away and flag down a motorist to help.…

On the night in question, the very white Henson was walking his black 5-year-old granddaughter home through a park. Someone at the park called 911, alleging that a white man was chasing and attempting to kidnap a young black child. As you might expect, police swarmed the area, and that’s where the drama begins.
The following Saturday, the aggravated Henson took to the blog, crafting a hypercritical version of events titled, “Me, APD and ‘Babysitting While White,’ Part Deux”. He begins by linking the incident to a question posed on the blog previously: “Is babysitting while white reasonable suspicion for police questioning?” It’s every bit as reasonably suspicious as Driving While Black or Painting While Hispanic, if you ask me.
Henson describes being stopped by an officer who asked his granddaughter if she knew him. When she responded that it was her grandfather, the officer let them continue on their way. Just minutes later, however, as they crossed a street a mere two blocks from home, multiple squad cars appeared. Cops jumped out of their cars, tasers ready, and shouted at him to step away from the girl. Greensboro, NC — Kevin Kennedy Gilchrest, 48, was apprehended in connection with the dumping of a nude woman’s body along a city street last Sunday. Police say that Gilchrest did not realize at the time that the woman was not dead.
The magistrate’s report describes the unidentified woman resisting Gilchrest’s attack Sunday. The arrest warrant said the attacker placed one hand on the woman’s throat while pushing her against a wall. The assailant then pushed her to the ground. The strangulation reportedly continued while the victim was raped.
The court records go on to say that – after the rape – the attacker severly beat her. He then reportedly assessed her lifelessness by raising and letting go of her arm. Court documents say that she allowed her arm to ‘flop down’ in a fashion indicating that she had died during the strangulation and beating. Gilchrest also reportedly held his finger under her nose to detect breathing – during which the victim was reported to have held her breath.
Court documents say that the attacker then placed the woman in his car and dumped her nude body on the side a city street early Sunday.…

Chandler, AZ — A moron suspected of raping a woman earlier this month was recently taken into custody after police learned he gave the victim his phone number after the alleged assault.
Rafael Chavez, 21, was arrested on charges of sexual assault and kidnapping this week after police tracked him down via telephone.
The victim told police she was walking home from work January 14, when Chavez pulled up beside her in his tan Honda Accord. He reportedly asked how she was doing and offered her a ride. When the woman declined his gracious offer, she said Chavez pulled over and ”placed her in a tight hug, pushing her against a nearby building, [while] kissing her.”
The woman told police Chavez forced her into his vehicle, but because she was scared, she didn’t put up a fight. He then parked the car in an alley behind a fast-food restaurant and raped her. White River Junction, VT – A 19-year-old girl has been accused of faking her own abduction in an effort to extort money from her grandmother so she could pay off a drug dealer.
Monday night, 73-year-old Patricia Swanson received a call at her home from a man demanding she bring him $600 as her granddaughter, Megan, could be heard crying in the background. If she did not bring him the money, the man told her, he was going to kill her.
When Swanson told the unknown man that she didn’t have that kind of cash, he threatened her as well. Fearing for her life and her granddaughter’s, Swanson complied and agreed to drop the money off wherever he instructed.
When Swanson dropped off the cash at the drop off spot, Megan’s kidnappers were unaware that they had been set up. Patricia had called police beforehand and they were there watching in unmarked cruisers. They say 20-year-old Joshua Rice was the one who arrived at the location and grabbed the cash.

St. Charles, MO - Police have charged four men for the alleged kidnapping, beating, and torture of a 22-year-old man over a $520 debt. Just think what you could buy with that!
Brothers, Jeffrey Charles Wasser, 24, and Curtis Louis Wasser, 31, are said to have come to the victim’s residence late in the evening December 20 and to have forced him into an SUV. Once inside the front seat of the vehicle, the men bound the alleged victim – their cousin – with duct tape. The brothers then reportedly drove the victim to their residence while followed in a separate car by another local named Ryan Joseph Koenig, 24, and Christopher C. Lujan, 22. of Midland, Texas.
According to court documents, the victim was forced inside the residence, where he said the men bound him with even more duct tape and ‘threw him down the steps to the basement.’ Once in the suspects’ basement, the victim reported being beaten with the butt of a gun and tortured with ‘some sort of circular device with needles protruding from it.’ While this was going on, Jeffrey Wasser was reportedly demanding that the victim pay them $520 – the price the victim got for a shotgun he sold for Jeffrey Wasser and, presumably, never paid.…

Westlake, LA — Twenty-eight-year-old bible school teacher/hottie Heather N. Daughdrill has found herself on the business end of the Louisiana justice system having been arrested for inappropriate sexual contact with a 13-year-old boy.
It was reported that text messages discovered by the 13-year-old boy’s parents prompted a call to authorities in early November. The subsequent investigation determined that Daughdrill had ‘inappropriate sexual contact’ with the boy on ‘multiple occasions between June and October’ after ‘picking him up from school without the parents’ knowledge.’
Daughdrill reportedly met the boy while she was working as a teacher/aide at a Summer Bible school camp the boy had attended.

Santa Ana, CA – Gladys Remigio, 17, and her two accomplices are in police custody after Remigio’s plan to kidnap a baby and present it as her own failed miserably. This after reportedly telling her out-of-town boyfriend that she had been carrying his pup for the last nine months. Remigio was said to have recently moved from New York state to Santa Ana. As she had allegedly told her San Diego boyfriend nine months earlier that she was pregnant with his child, she was under significant pressure to deliver. Bahahhahahahaha. Sorry.
Conveniently, her roommate had a 15-day old baby that would do just fine. Prosecutors say Remigio hired ‘hardcore gang members’ Robert Henry Rodriguez, 19, and Steven Quirino, 20, to snatch the baby during what was to look like a robbery.
