WHITE PINE, TN — Police have an 11-year-old boy in custody after they say he shot an 11-year-old neighbor with his father’s shotgun after an argument over a puppy.
According to reports, police responding to a shooting call at a trailer park found McKayla Dyer on the ground with a single gunshot wound to the chest. She would be rushed to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Witnesses told police that the shooter was Dyer’s next-door-neighbor, an 11-year-old boy, who used his father’s 12-gauge shotgun from inside his home.
The fifth-grader was arrested and charged with first-degree murder in juvenile court. A detention hearing is scheduled for Monday and a judge will later determine if the boy will be charged as an adult.
Police have not releases a motive, but neighbors say that Dyer and the boy had been arguing about a puppy moments before the shooting occurred.

PORT SAINT LUCIE, FL – Heather Phillips, a 40-year-old pre-school teacher, has been charged with having sex with her daughter’s 15-year-old ex-boyfriend.
According to police, the teen went to his parents on Sept. 17 and told them he had been in a sexual relationship with Phillips and that she was pregnant with his baby.
The boy’s parents called police who then started their investigation. The teen told them that he met Phillips when he started dating her 12-year-old daughter earlier this year. He said that during his relationship with her daughter, Phillips would flirt with him and told him he was a “hot kid,” and “wish you were mine.”
The teen said that after he broke up with Phillip’s daughter on June 1, he and Phillips continued to communicate via ooVoo. He said that Phillips picked him up and took him to a park where he had sex with Phillips on a slide.
I’m trying to give the kid the benefit of the doubt with the next bit of info, but he told police he didn’t want to have sex with Phillips but she forced him to.…
A contractor who arrived at Zuluaga’s home Tuesday morning is the one who called 911 after finding the woman dead inside.

After telling the boy to leave so he could start working he noticed blood dripping from above, through the floorboards. That’s when the contractor went inside the home and found Zuluaga dead from multiple stab wounds to the torso.
Police would take the teen into custody a few hours later after he was found walking near a highway. According to Greenville County Sheriff Steve Loftis, the teen admitted to killing his mother the night before and then going to sleep.

JACKSONVILLE, FL – Police have arrested 14-year-old Mitchell Daughtry after they say he stabbed his mother to death before stealing the family car and trying to commit suicide.
On the day she was murdered, 52-year-old Pamela Daughtry sent texts to her older daughter asking her to come home and talk to her brother because he was angry.
She did not see the text until an hour later and by time she got home, it was too late. She walked into the home to find her mother had been stabbed to death and that her brother had taken items from a safe before leaving in their mother’s 2007 Volvo.
That night, Daughtry started sending out texts to friends and family, admitting what he’d done. Police would locate him five miles away in South Florida after he had taken pills in a botched suicide attempt.

FORT WORTH, TX – The 11-year-old boy who beat a neighbor’s small dog to death with a stick last May, has been sentenced to 18 months of probation.
According to police, the boy chased the 15-pound Cavalier mix, Cookie, out of its backyard and cornered it on a porch. He then used a stick to beat the animal to death.
Police would charge the boy with animal cruelty after an autopsy report revealed that the dog died from a fractured spine and severed spine, the result of many blows to the body.
When police talked to the boy and his parents, they said that Cookie attacked their son and he was only defending himself. The dog’s owner disputed that, claiming Cookie was not an aggressive dog. A neighbor would come forward stating that before Cookie was found dead, they’d witnessed the boy chasing the dog under a parked vehicle.
Despite the self-defense claim, the boy entered a guilty plea to animal cruelty charges last month. A judge then ordered a series of psychological and behavioral examinations.…
BALTIMORE, MD – Jonathan Fleming is facing some serious charges after the 17-year-old was accused of raping a 9-year-old family friend at the Maryland State Fairgrounds – a girl he has allegedly been sexually abusing since she was 3-years-old.
Police said that Fleming’s family and the girl’s family were together at the Maryland State Fair when a concerned farmer notified the girl’s father that he saw Fleming doing something inappropriate with the girl inside the Swine Barn.
“There was a farmer there that actually saw him buckling up his pants and approached the two of them,” Baltimore County Police Officer Shawn Vincent. “When the boy saw that he was being approached, he left with the young girl.”
The girl’s parents called police who interviewed the girl. She told police that Fleming touched her inappropriately and then took her to a slide barn where he forced her to perform various sex acts, including intercourse. But that’s not the worst of it. According to the girl, Fleming has been sexually abusing her since she was three; forcing her to engage in sex acts several time a year at various fairs in Maryland and elsewhere.…
The incident happened last month when the victim’s mother woke up to find her daughter was not in the house. She would end up finding her lying motionless and bleeding in the backyard of their home.
The girl was taken to the hospital where it was discovered she had a broken jaw, fractures to her skull and a bruised liver. One of the bruises on the girl, according to her mother, was in the shape of a man’s boot.
The girl regained consciousness and told police that she had woke up in the middle of the night and was walking down the hallway when she encountered a man she did not know. The intruder took her out to the backyard where he sexually assaulted her, stomped on her abdomen then beat her unconscious.
“None of her injuries, thank God, led to any internal brain damage or bleeding,” said the girl’s mother.…

Police responded to a home at the Westover Mobile Home Park after receiving a 911 call around 4 a.m. regarding a 4-year-old child who was not breathing.
The responding officer performed CPR on the boy until paramedics arrived and transported him to the hospital.
Police noticed the injured child had strangulation marks on his neck, so they began interviewing the 12 people who lived in the home – six adults and six children eleven years old and under – and eventually determined that an 11-year-old boy was responsible for choking the toddler.
Police arrested the boy in the presence of his mother and placed him in a juvenile detention center on a charge of aggravated battery resulting in serious damage.
Capt. Dick Schauland of the Sheriff’s Office said the 11-year-old had only been back in the home a short time after returning from a Miami rehab program.…
ELKHART, IN – Police have taken a 12-year-old girl into custody after they say she stabbed her stepmother to death in their Elkhart apartment.
According to police, the girl got into an argument with her stepmother, 50-year-old Maria Torres, that led to the girl starting a small fire in her bedroom. When Torres confronted the girl about the fire, the girl stabbed her.
Her father, 49-year-old Edwin Torres, tried to restrain his daughter, but she stabbed him as well, inflicting a non life-threatening injury. The girl then fled the apartment. The injuries to Maria were so severe, she would die before emergency responders could take her to the hospital.
The following morning, police found the girl walking along some railroad tracks with a juvenile female friend in nearby Bristol. She was taken to the Elkhart County Juvenile Detention Center without incident. Police have not been able to interview her because she is a minor and the victims were her parents. BROKEN ARROW, OK – Not a lot of details on this one yet but police found five people dead in an Oklahoma residence, along with a teenage girl being treated for stab wounds, and have placed two teenage relatives in custody.
According to Broken Arrow police Sgt. Thomas Cooper, officers responded to the home around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday after receiving a 911 hangup call. Once inside the home they would find five people dead, both adults and juveniles, from stab wounds.

When police first entered the home, two teenagers – ages 16 and 18 – were seen running out the back door. Police would use a K9 unit to locate them on a trail behind the home and take them into custody.
Cooper said that the two teens and the victims were all related and lived in the home, and that the case is being considered a homicide investigation.…
WEST VALLEY CITY, UT — Police say a 15-year-old boy murdered 12-year-old Kailey Vijil and left her body in a horse pasture after luring the girl from her home.
According to police, the teen went to the girl’s home around midnight Friday and said something to her that convinced her to leave the house and go with him.
While it is not known what the teen said to the girl, a neighbor told police that the teen was at her house the night before trying to get his teenage sisters to help him find a pregnant cat. I know some of you are going to ask if anyone knew the girl was leaving the house, and the answer to that question is “yes”.
West Valley Police Chief Lee Russo said Vijil’s mother knew her daughter was leaving with the teen, but didn’t say if she knew where her daughter was going. He also didn’t know why the mother allowed her daughter to leave in the first place. However, Russo also said “this isn’t about parenting, this is about a homicide.”
An hour later, when her daughter had not returned, Vijil’s mother began looking for her.…
MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Cody Feran-Baum, 17, has been arrested after police say he stomped his girlfriend’s 2-year-old daughter to death.
A neighbor said Feran-Baum ran to their house with Sophia O’Neill in his arms asking to use their phone. The neighbor said Sophia’s head “just bounced back and forth” and her eyes were unfocused. Sophia was taken by ambulance to the hospital, where she was resuscitated twice before dying.
The medical examiner would find that Sophia died from multiple injuries, including a torn liver, kidney and pancreas, cuts to the inside of her stomach, a collapsed lung and eight broken ribs.
Sophia’s mother told police that her boyfriend of about a year, Feran-Baum, had watched Sophia the day before and that when she returned home she found Sophia had a fever and complained of pain whenever she was picked up or touched. Unaware her daughter was suffering from multiple organ failure, she thought she was just sick and put her in bed for the night.
When Feran-Baum was interviewed and presented with evidence that someone had beat the ever-living shit out of Sophia, the teen came clean and admitted he was responsible. …

GARLAND, TX – Police have taken a 12-year-old boy into custody for the fatal shooting of 13-year-old Matthew Cisneros, a death police initially thought was a suicide.
Back in February, police were called to a home where Cisneros was found dead from a gunshot wound with a gun lying near his body. According to Joe Harn with Garland Police, it wasn’t immediately certain if the shooting was self-inflicted.
But the resulting investigation revealed Cisneros and a 12-year-old friend were playing with the gun and that the younger boy wasn’t aware the gun was loaded when he pulled the trigger and fatally shot his friend.
The 12-year-old has been placed in custody and is now facing a manslaughter charge. I couldn’t find any details on how the boys got possession of the gun in the first place, but Texas law is pretty clear that anyone who allows a child to gain access to a loaded firearm can be charged with criminal negligence.
A friend of the Cisneros family has setup a GoFundMe page to help with the boy’s funeral expenses.…
PHILADELPHIA, PA – Three juveniles have been accused of murdering 51-year-old James Stuhlman as the man pleaded for his life during an armed robbery.
According to police, Stuhlman and his 13-year-old daughter would take his dog for a walk around the neighborhood every night. But on March 12, Stuhlman told his daughter it was getting a little late and walked his dog alone.
At around the same time, Brandon Smith (pictured) and Tyfine Hamilton, both 15-years-old, were with an unnamed 14-year-old boy playing basketball. Afterwards, they decided they wanted to rob someone.
They settled on Stuhlman because “he looked soft” and his dog did not look aggressive. After confronting Stuhlman and announcing he was being robbed, the man begged for his life and pleaded with the teens not to shoot him.
Hamilton ignored his pleas, according to police, and shot the man once in the chest. Being the cowards that they are, the teens ran off without taking anything from Stuhlman.
Stuhlman would be found on the ground holding a flashlight in one hand and his dog’s leash in the other. …

She informed them that a few days earlier she had gotten ill after drinking a smoothie. After this most recent incident, she told police she confronted her daughter who allegedly admitted she’d purposely poured bleach in her beverages in an attempt to kill her.
The girl reportedly said she was angry with her mother for taking away her iPhone.

“She had pre-planned this a couple different times,” Sgt. Bill Crist of the sheriff’s office said.
