Police say that on Tuesday morning, the couple were working in King’s Beauty when they caught the 13-year-old girl and a friend shoplifting items from the store.
The couple, both in their 70s, opened the store 20 years ago and often forgave shoplifters. In this case, the couple retrieved the stolen items from the girls and kicked them out of the store without calling police.
However, the girls came back and this time were able to get away with some merchandise. The couple called police and the two girls were located in an adjacent lot. One girl was taken into custody for an outstanding juvenile warrant, but the 13-year-old was let go with a warning after the couple refused to press charges.
“The shop stewards that were there were kind enough to not press charges, since the crime was, in their eyes, petty,” said Bellefontaine Neighbors Police Chief Jeremy Ihler.…
Police said that on Tuesday morning they received reports of a disturbance at a home where a woman found her daughter, Ashley Wood, dead inside her bedroom.
A neighbor said she called 911 after she heard the mother screaming. When police arrived, they found Ashley dead from what appeared to be blunt force trauma to the head.
The suspect, reportedly the girl’s 14-year-old brother or step-brother, was at the home when police arrived but fled the scene on foot.
Police would find him 30 minutes later in a field a mile away. The teen, whose name has not been released because of his age, was taken into custody and placed in the Placer County Probation Juvenile Detention Facility.
No charges have been filed as I type this up, but in California, a 14-year-old can be charged as an adult in murder cases.
The relationship between the suspect and victim has not been officially reported, but some news outlets describe him as Ashley’s brother or adopted brother.…
According to Providence Detective Sgt. Michael Wheeler, the girl was assaulted on June 2 after the two boys lured her into a third-floor boy’s bathroom.
Once the girl was inside, the boys allegedly trapped her in the bathroom and took turns groping her sexually. School administratators contacted police after finding out about the assault.
The two boys turned themselves in on Monday and were arraigned in Family Court on charges of first-degree sexual assault. Both boys were suspended from school and are currently in custody at the Rhode Island Training School.
“This was very unusual, especially to this extent,” said Wheeler. “I think the school did a good job getting on it.”
The alleged victim is being offered the services of the school staff social worker and psychologist.
“The Providence Public School District takes any allegation of sexual abuse and misconduct very seriously,” said spokeswoman Laura Hart.…
Perez was reported missing on May 27 after skipping school with her 15-year-old boyfriend. She was last seen on surveillance video with her boyfriend as they met at a restaurant near the school and then walking away holding hands.
After the girl was reported missing, the boyfriend’s father drove his son around searching for the girl. At some point during their search, the boy told his father to take him home because Perez was dead.
The teen’s dad called police, who arrived and confiscated two cell phones from the teen. Police say they found a text in which the boy told Perez to skip school on Friday or he would kill her.
Police also found a disturbing video from inside the apartment where Perez’ body would later be found. The video was dark, but you could hear Perez being raped and then begging for her life as her boyfriend, who she called out by name, strangled her to death.…
According to a Lee County Sheriff’s Office incident report, the girl had sex with as many as two dozen boys after school Tuesday afternoon at South Fort Myers High School and video of the activity was posted on social media.
Deputies said at that a hallway camera captured at least 25 males entering the restroom while the female was inside. Principal Melissa Layner is the one who reported the incident after reviewing the footage the following morning and after the female student admitted to her that she’d had sex with multiple males in the bathroom.
Layner sent a message to parents on Friday explaining that she cannot speak about student discipline with the media or parents of other students, but that student discipline was “dealt quickly.”
“The incident this week should not be a reflection on our combined efforts, administration, students, and teachers, to keep our building and students secure and safe,” Layner wrote.…
The shooting happened on Tuesday morning when the teen’s mother and grandmother tried waking him up to go to school.
The teen became so angry at their repeated attempts to get his ass up, that he grabbed a handgun from his closet and opened fire.
His grandmother was shot twice while his 12-year-old sister and 6-year-old nephew were only grazed. The teen fled the scene after the shooting, dropping the gun off at a neighboring apartment complex.
His grandmother was taken tot he hospital where she is expected to recover. The two children were treated and released.
The boy was found a short time later walking along nearby railroad tracks and was taken into custody without incident. He was charged in Juvenile Court with four counts of attempted homicide and one count of reckless endangerment.
His family is cooperating with the investigation and stated they had no idea he was in the possession of a handgun.…
DELTONA, FL – Three 12-year-old girls at Deltona Middle School were arrested for spiking a teacher’s drink with red pepper flakes.
The incident happened last week when 12-year-old Marjorie Garrido-Herrera decided to get revenge against 52-year-old Jayne Morgan because the teacher had sent her to the principal’s office for “dumping glue into another student’s backpack and for suspicion of stealing a laptop computer.”
The next day, Garrido-Herrera brought some red pepper flakes from home and enlisted the help of two other 12-year-old girls, Leisy Llanes-Pupo and Cristal Tejeda-Castro. While one of the girls distracted the teacher, the other poured the pepper into Morgan’s open can of soda.
When Morgan took a drink, she immediately began to choke and experience shortness of breath. She found the pepper after she poured the soda into a clear cup.
The three girls were arrested on Friday and taken to Volusia Regional Juvenile Detention Center. Garrido-Herrera and the girl who spiked the soda were both charged with poisoning food/water and tampering with consumer products. The girl who distracted the teacher is charged with tampering with consumer products and being a principal to poisoning food/water.…
The boy walked into King Foods and Meat Bazaar Wednesday morning wearing a motorcycle helmet with a sweater obscuring part of his face.
“He went through the entry door and very quietly, very confidently,” the clerk says. “He was wearing like a motorcycle helmet, and he was wearing a sweater over his mouth. He was only showing his eyes.”
The kid was hiding a handgun that he pulled out and pointed at cashier. “Give me the fucking money,” the boy allegedly demanded. Another employee saw what was happening and quickly apprehended the kid.
“All of a sudden I’m so shocked. I don’t know if it’s a real gun or if it’s a fake gun, but my priority is to take it away from him because I don’t know. I just turned his wrist and took it out from his hand. At that point, the other coworker of mine grabbed him,” said the clerk.…
Investigators say a man watched his son, Georta Mack, walk to the bus stop Tuesday morning, but was unaware that his son had returned home shortly after.
The teen had decided to skip school and hide in the basement until his father left for work – a tactic I am sure many of us used back in the day.
Unfortunately for everyone involved with this incident, the man heard the teen in the basement, but thought it was an intruder. Armed with a handgun, the man went into the basement to investigate.
Police say the teen startled his father, resulting in the man firing off a shot that hit his son in the neck. The boy was rushed to the hospital in “extreme critical condition” but would die shortly after.
Captain Terri Theetge said after interviewing the father, his department feels the death was the result of a tragic accident but they would be reviewing the investigation with the Hamilton Prosecutor’s Office.…
On Sunday night, police received a phone call from someone who stated their 15-year-old cousin had admitted to killing her mother and her mother’s boyfriend.
When police went to the fifth floor apartment to verify the story, they found the decomposing bodies of a 39-year-old woman and a 40-year-old man.
Police said the teen’s mother was in a bedroom chair with a smashed face and multiple gunshot wounds, while her boyfriend was found in the kitchen with gunshot wounds and a knife still sticking out of his body.
“It’s a mess in there,” one police source said. “These people died violently, it seems.”
The teen allegedly told her cousin she killed the couple because the her mother’s boyfriend had been raping her repeatedly, and that her mother chose not to believe her when she told her what was happening.
Police have taken the girl into custody but have not formally charged her.…
On Dec 23, the teen was caring for three foster children – a 7-year-old boy, a 9-year-old girl, and 6-year-old Destine King – while their foster mother was at work. For reasons unknown at this time, the teenager attacked them.
Police would find Destine King lying on the floor, unresponsive. She would be taken to the hospital in critical condition and die a few days later.
A cause of death has not been determined, but Memphis police Sgt. Karen Rudolph said the girl had a swollen and bruised face, while medical staff at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital stated the girl’s injuries were from being physically abused.
The other two foster children were also assaulted by the teen, according to police, and were admitted to the hospital. They have both been released and placed in the care of the Department of Child Services.
As for Evans, he’s been arrested and charged with three counts of criminal attempted first-degree murder, three counts of aggravated child abuse, two counts of aggravated assault and two counts of coercion of a witness.…
The alleged hazing incident happened last week while the team was playing in a tournament in Gatlinburg. The boys were staying in a rental cabin when – according to a family member of the victim – the 15-year-old freshman “was tortured by three of his teammates.”
This “torture” involved the boy being beaten and raped with a wooden pool cue. The boy’s coach took the boy to the hospital following the assault, but the victim did not reveal the exact details of what had happened to his coach or the hospital staff.
He ended up being treated and released, but brought back to the hospital the next day after he collapsed. That’s when the true severity of the boy’s injuries were discovered.
“He was taken by ambulance to the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville,” said the family member. “He had to undergo emergency surgery, as his colon and bladder were ruptured.”
Once it was revealed that three of the boy’s teammates had churned his butter with a wooden pool cue, police were called to investigate.…
We first reported on Salers back in 2012 after he was taken into custody following the discovery of his half-sister, Katelynn Arnold, hanging dead from a tree in her family’s backyard.
When Arnold did not return home from a bicycle ride in the neighborhood, her aunt went looking for her. She did not find her until she returned home and checked the backyard.
That’s where the 9-year-old was found hanging from a tree by her neck with an old tire swing rope.
The following day, police would take Salers into custody and charged him with capital murder. Only 14-years-old at the time, the teen admitted to police that he intentionally killed his half-sister by hanging her from the tree.
He reportedly gave police a possible motive for wanting to kill the girl, but it was not revealed at the time.…
On Thanksgiving morning, the teen and Wood’s 16-year-old daughter had consensual sex and fell asleep. The boy woke up to Woods straddling him and punching him repeatedly in the face.
He managed to grab his pants and run out of the house, but Woods was hot on his trail and did not stop punching him until he began to vomit – telling him that her cousins would finish the job she started.
Woods then went back to her home and used a baseball bat to cause $5000 worth of damage to the car the teenager had left parked in front of her home. She then grabbed the boy’s keys that he left in her home and moved the car down the street.
The boy called police who arrived and talked with Woods. She admitted to hitting the boy because she was angry about finding him in bed with her daughter, and that he was disrespectful towards her.…
Last week, a woman picked up her 10-month-old daughter from the day care owned and operated by Attebury’s mother. When she got home and changed her daughter’s diaper, she discovered her infant was bleeding and took her to the hospital.
Doctors would find the baby girl was suffering from four anal tears and bruising. She was treated for her injuries and sent back home with her family. Police were notified of the possible sexual assault and immediately started their investigation at the day care.
Attebury and his mother both denied knowing how the baby was injured, but Attebury would eventually confess that he was responsible for the girl’s injuries in a videotaped interview. According to Attebury, he forcefully inserted a “Matchbox” type toy car into the girl’s anus. He never gave a reason for his actions.
Justin Attebury was subsequently arrested and charged with four counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault.…
SAINT PETERSBURG, FL – Police have revealed that the 12-year-old boy who was arrested after stealing an elderly man’s car has been arrested over 20 times.
Last Friday, 89-year-old Raymond Raftery was at a gas station when the 12-year-old boy rode up to him on a bicycle to inform him that he had a flat tire.
When Raftery pulled over to the air pumps and got out to check his tire, the boy hopped off of his bike, got into the man’s car and drove off.
A St. Petersburg Police Department detective reviewed surveillance footage that captured the incident, and recognized the boy. He was arrested Monday afternoon and charged with grand theft motor vehicle.
Detectives also revealed the boy has been arrested more than 20 times, but I have not found what these arrests were for. Police say they have not received any other calls regarding this “you tire is flat” scam, but they wanted the public to be aware of it.
NEW YORK, NY – A 13-year-old boy is in the hospital suffering from second and third degree burns because, according to his mother, a bully sprayed him with cologne and then set him on fire.
Deandre Bloomfield was burned on December 2nd at the 13-year-old suspect’s apartment, says Bloomfield’s mother. She says the teen sprayed cologne on her son, who is disabled and a victim of bullying, then lit him up.
“First he smacked me. I got up and I said, ‘Don’t smack me again.’ And when I wanted to leave, he picked up a perfume bottle with a lighter, and he sprayed it on me,” said Deandre. “He did it two times. The first time he did it sparked on me and that’s when I started to run, and he threw the whole bottle at me.”
Even worse, the suspect’s mother and sister were in the home at the time and did not get immediate medical attention for her son after he rolled around and snuffed out the flames.…
JONESBORO, AR – A 15-year-old boy has admitted to sexually assaulting a 5-year-old girl while riding on a Jonesboro Public Schools bus.
I couldn’t find anything that explained how police got involved but according to the incident report the victim told investigators that the teen “touched her private area with his finger then showed her his privates while on the bus” to school.
When police talked to the boy in the presence of his father, he admitted that he put his hands in her underwear and touched her. The teen said said “he knew she had a crush on him” and she’d told him that she felt “funny down there.”
Police have released the teen into the custody of his parents while his cell phone and computer were confiscated and sent to the Internet Crimes Against Children laboratory. He was told he could not ride the bus to school pending the outcome of the investigation.
Jonesboro Public School’s Superintendent Kim Wilbanks released the following statement:
“Jonesboro Public Schools is currently investigating an alleged incident of one student inappropriately touching another student while on the school bus.…
