Inmate At Utah Mental Hospital Accused Of Strangling Roommate Over Snoring

PROVO, UT — A man residing in a Utah Mental Facility has been charged with strangling his roommate because he could no longer take the man’s snoring.
If you click on James Clyde Norman’s mugshot, you will see more clearly that this guy is batshit crazy. It’s always in the eyes, impossible to hide. But it doesn’t seem as if Norman was trying to hide anything as the 33-year-old’s behavior lead to him enjoying a bit of R & R at the Utah State Mental Hospital.
His behavior included inappropriately touching a teen girl, sexual battery, disorderly conduct, interfering with an arrest, impersonating a police officer, assault by a prisoner and head-butting his defense attorney.
Also spending some time at the mental hospital was 28-year-old Omar Abas Sharif. He was Norman’s roommate and, as it turns out, snores in his sleep. It’s a condition that effects 30% of all men over the age of 30 whose cause is derived from a myriad of different reasons.
There are also a lot of different ways snoring can be stopped, including medications, surgery, a well-placed pillow firmly placed on the face (Jaded’s favorite), and in the case of poor Sharif — Norman’s bare hands.…
