Springdale, AR - Here’s not one, but TWO dead babies to ruin your day. Travis Fox is accused of shaking two of his babies to death a year and a half apart.
Last Wednesday, Fox’s 7 month old baby, William, was brought to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. The doctors found the injuries suspicious and Fox, 24, confessed to investigators that he violently shook the child for an extended amount of time because the child was “fussing.’”

Investigators then found out that Travis Fox was under investigation for the September 2011 death of his 6 month old baby boy, Travis II, in another county.

SAN DIEGO – At a bit after 5:00 p.m. on Friday, a woman walking down an alley near the Park View Apartments complex probably had the contents of her nightmares altered forever: she spotted something odd on the ground, and when she moved closer, she realized it was an infant.
It appeared that the little boy had fallen from one of the complex’s windows. She immediately called authorities, who discovered, upon arriving, that the child was severely injured. (Odd how falls from a significant height seem to affect infants that way.) Medics performed CPR and transported the boy to the hospital, but the little guy didn’t make it to 6:00 p.m.
Currently, there are more questions than answers on this case, but let me share what we do seem to know: (1) The infant’s injuries were caused by a fall from a 3rd-story window. (2) The police initially detained the boy’s 33-year-old mother for questioning but have since arrested her and are now investigating the death as a homicide; they indicate she will be charged with first-degree murder. (3) The mother, who goes by the brain-bending and seemingly unlikely name of Zewoinesh Badasso, is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.…

Terrell, TX - A Texas woman who was hospitalized after cutting off her baby’s arms in 2004 has recently been fired from her job at Walmart after a news crew told her employers of her past.
Dena Schlosser made headlines in 2004 after she cut the arms off of her 10-month-old daughter. Her daughter would die soon after. Schlosser was reportedly found covered in blood and singing church hymns. Schlosser would eventually tell psychiatrists that God had told her to do it.
A jury found Schlosser not guilty by reason of insanity. She was hospitalized until 2008 when a judged ruled that she no longer required treatment. Should would return to hospitalization in 2010.
Sometime between 2010 and now, Schlosser went from being a hospitalized mental patient to being a Walmart associate. A Walmart spokewoman says Schlosser, who now uses the last name Laettner, was hired in June. Schlosser was fired Monday after news station WFAA-TV told the company about her past.

DUBLIN, Ohio — Let me apologize upfront for the obscene visual of a mother performing sexual acts on her 10-month-old son that I just now put in your head, but that’s exactly what the news is reporting one Ohio woman did — in front of a camera.
Police say that on August 30, 24-year-old Ashley Jessup recorded herself performing sexual acts on her baby, then sent the video to her boyfriend in Michigan.
That man’s former girlfriend found the video and contacted police who arrested Jessup the next day. Police say she did admit to the crime.
She’s now facing life in prison if convicted on two counts of rape, one count of endangering children and one count of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor.
Spontaneous applause from strangers broke out in the courtroom after the charges against her were read.
She’ll be back in court on Monday for her arraignment so I’m sure we will have more details then.

Los Angeles, CA – Natasha Hubbard, 36, of Los Angeles woman was arrested after allegedly grabbing a baby from its stroller and slamming him against a truck.
Lt. Paul Vernon of the Los Angeles Police Department said that Hubbard approached the baby, his mother, Adriana Miranda, 29, and his aunt on a city street. Witnesses reportedly saw Hubbard unbelt the child from the stroller, swing him over her head and slam him into the metal rail of a truck in view of his mother and aunt.
The two women struggled with Hubbard to get the baby back. Hubbard allegedly fought back, trying to get the child. The mother and her sister ran to a nearby store for protection but were turned away by the store owner. Asshole.
Hubbard then, reportedly, fled.
Witnesses directed officers to Hubbard who apprehended her. Hubbard was placed in jail facing charges of assault and battery. She reportedly later told detectives that she was trying to break the 4-month-old’s arm so she could eat it. Her bail was set at $30,000.…

UNION COUNTY, NC - The trial Erica Denise Kelly started this morning. Some of you may remember her as the mother accused of murdering her newborn and then dumping the infant’s dismembered corpse near a burn pile.
Jaded posted about Kelly two years ago. If you’re unable to lift your fat finger up enough to click the link and read all the details, back in February 2009 a dead infant was found near a burn pile outside of the home Kelly and her boyfriend were moving into.
At the time reports were the baby girl still had its umbilical cord still attached, had been full-term and had been born alive. The reports of the baby having some abnormalities turned out to be that two of the baby’s limbs had been severed.
After taking some DNA samples a match would be made between the dead infant and Kelly. But not her boyfriend. All of this came to a shock to all that knew her because no one was aware she was even pregnant. She was charged with murder and concealing the birth of a child.…

LAKE ARIEL, Pa. – Police say a 20-year-old man from northeastern Pennsylvania murdered his newborn daughter with a cinderblock.
Christopher Fitzpatrick and his girlfriend, Jennifer Barrise, already have one child together and weren’t too thrilled that they were about to have another. Barrise gave birth to the couple’s daughter in a car back in May and during the birth, Fitzpatrick made it clear to Barrise what he was going to do.
“Have this (expletive) baby,” Mr. Fitzpatrick allegedly told Barrise. “I just want to get rid of it. I gotta do what I gotta do.” She asked if was going to kill the baby on two occasions, he remained silent both times.
The girl was born on the floor of the car and according to the affidavit, neither of the two touched her as she lay there crying. After dropping off his girlfriend, he took the baby to M n D Lawn Care where he worked. Indianapolis, Indiana – Four Indianapolis residents have been arrested, accused of trying to sell a baby.
Police say 36-year-old Rose Faucett and 58-year-old Phillip Hester agreed to sell Faucett’s daughter, born April 2, to 57-year-old Michael S. Overby and 50-year-old Debbie Overby. In return for selling the baby to the completely normal looking couple, they would get a whopping $300 and a place for Faucett to stay.
All four have been charged with neglect of a dependent and child selling. Michael Overby was also charged with forgery for falsely signing a paternity affidavit, claiming to be the biological father of the infant.
The real kicker here is quite disturbing; Michael S. Overby is a convicted child molester and Debbie Overby has been convicted of child neglect in the past.
“Mrs. Overby is currently on probation for neglect of a dependent, and Mr. Overby is a convicted child molester. It’s a charge from back in 1984,” said Indianapolis police Sgt. Linda Jackson. “We don’t know what the intentions were for trying to adopting this child.…

Tampa, FL – I’m thinking that 23-year-old Dwayne Poole didn’t think things through after he allegedly threw his 16-month-old son after he caught him playing near a wall socket.
I understand a parent reacting strongly to finding their kid about to stick their fingers into an electric wall socket, but Poole threw his baby so hard that when the infant hit his head on either the wall or a dresser, his skull was fractured causing a brain bleed.
The infant was also found to have bruises covering his legs and buttocks to which Poole admitted to police that he had caused by hitting him with an open hand and a belt.
Poole was arrested on a charge of aggravated child abuse to go along with his several previous arrests on battery charges.
His son is currently in the hospital where according to doctors, he appears to be brain dead with little chance of survival.…

Police were called to the emergency room of a hospital on Tuesday morning after receiving a call about the abuse of a 1-month old baby boy. Doctors told the officers the baby had bruises and sores on his body and his eyes were red and swollen shut. The baby had also suffered broken ribs and a broken femur. Carrie then headed into another room with her boyfriend, Doug Ritchey, leaving the infant alone in a room with Doug’s 70-pound pit bull and 60-pound pit bull mix. Lewes, Delaware – I’m still on vacation, but we got this story in an email and I had to post it. On Wednesday, pediatrician Dr. Earl B. Bradley, 56, was arrested. The state attorney general’s office said that Dr. Bradley has been using his private practice, BayBees Pediatrics, to rape and molest as many as 100 children over the last 11 years. As for now, he was only charged with molesting or raping at least seven of his patients, some of those being infants. These charges include 33 felony counts of first- and second-degree rape, sexual exploitation of a child by photo or film, and endangering the welfare of a child. Investigators are now trying to identify children seen on videos that they say the doctor made of his activities. 33,000-feet over the Atlantic - On November 24th, a 29-year-old mother was on a United Airlines flight to Kuwait. She was on her way to visit relatives with her 4-week-old daughter. At some point during the flight, the mother began breastfeeding the baby, and then fell asleep. When she woke up, she found that she had smothered her infant. Passengers and crew were alerted to something wrong when the mother began screaming for help. A doctor on the plane tried to revive the baby but was unsuccessful. ALBANY, Oregon – On September 19th, Vidal-Hernandez went to Samaritan Albany General Hospital and told the staff that her friend had given birth to triplets on the side of the road on was on her way there via Life Flight helicopter. Kansas City, KS- Zachery Ellis is listed as an RSO, but he’s also a real POS. Police arrested his worthless ass 5 a.m. Sunday for felony abuse of a 7-week old infant. A judge denied bond for Ellis stating that the defendant is a danger to the victim. Authorities believe Ellis squeezed the child until it’s ribs broke and jerked the infant by the legs and arms, causing spiral fractures on all four limbs. The infant also sustained bruising to its lungs, spleen damage and tearing to the inside of it’s mouth. The baby was listed in stable condition Monday at Children’s Mercy after being transferred there from Heartland Regional Medical Center last Thursday night.
