Man Accused Of Beating Son Over Game Of Hopscotch Suing His AccusersCOVINGTON, Ky. — You all remember the stories we have posted regarding the man who was arrested after spanking his son, supposedly over a game of hopscotch, right?

Well for those of you who aren’t aware, Christopher Robison was arrested and charged with child abuse after his ex-wife called police on him regarding some injuries on their 5-year-old son. The original reports, including us, used a variety of “Man beat kid over hopsctoch” type titles, but the real reason for the spanking was because the boy was talking back to him.

He denied he abused the boy and told police the bruises in question came from an earlier fall in the pool. After having his face plastered all over the media, he began making appearances on radio shows to defend himself and I ended up feeling like he got a raw deal from a vindictive ex. The charges against him were later dropped, but his ordeal was far from over.

He is still seen by some as a child abuser, his teaching job is one hold, and his current relationship with his kids has been negatively altered.…

UNION, Ky. - Remember the guy who was charged with child abuse after spanking his kid over a game of hopscotch? Well the charges have been dropped. People were real quick to throw Christopher Robison into the flames, but as it turned out the real story was a bit less…dramatic…than originally reported. During a preliminary hearing Monday, the judge found no probable cause for the felony criminal abuse charge was charged with. “There was obviously some abuse, now whether it rises to the level of a class C felony or not, I’m not convinced of that,” Judge Stephen Huddleston said. The “some abuse” comment comes from Robison admitting that after his 5-year-old son mouthed off to him, he took him inside and spanked him twice on the ass with a belt. It was after his ex-wife saw injuries on the boy’s side from an accident he had in a swimming pool that police were called. Prosecutors still have an option of taking the case to the grand jury on a lesser charge, but until then Robison told reporters he will never use corporal punishment again and just wants to put all this behind him.”This is something I just wanted to go away, so we can get on with whatever a normal life is,” Robison said.…

Teacher Charged With Beating Son Over Game Of HopscotchUNION, Ky. - Police say that 46-year-old Christopher Robison, a social studies teacher at Camp Ernst Middle School, beat the crap out of his 5-year-old son on 4th of July.

Enraged that his son could not hop on one foot correctly while playing hopscotch, Robinson allegedly used a belt to beat the kid’s ass pretty good. The boy did not need hospitalization, but suffered from severe bruising bad enough for police to charge him with first-degree felony criminal abuse.

Robison now faces five to ten years in prison. The attack was reported by the boy’s mother who is divorced from Robinson. He surrendered to authorities on Monday, posted his $500 bond, and was released.

The school says Robison will likely be placed on leave once they are officially notified of the charges. Neighbors are concerned over the charges because their kids go to the school Robison teaches and are worried he may…kill them or something? I dunno. “It’s a huge concern. My child goes over there and in two years, another one of mine will.…
