WINTER GARDEN, Florida – One lucky family, I think. 48-year-old Rubens Morais and 27-year-old Marcela Borges were home with their 5-year-old son on SundaySunday reviews when four masked intruders took them hostage. They were all tied up and blindfolded and taken to Apopka. The next day, Borges was forced to withdraw $23,600 from the bank. They were then taken back to their home. Sometime Tuesday, Borges removed her bindings as well as the mask of one of her young, female captors. Not liking that, she reportedly stated “She saw my face and knows who I am. You have to kill her!” Borges, not liking that, jumped from a second-story window. As she ran to a neighbor’s house, one of the captors opened fire on her, hitting her in the side. All four captors then fled the scene. Victor Manuel Sanchez, 20, and Miguel Diaz-Santiz, 25, and Oscar Diaz-Hernandez, 19 have been arrested. The female suspect is still at large. [Read more...]

COLLEGE PARK, Georgia -23-year-old Calvin Lavant and Jamal Hill decided to perform a home invasion on an apartment where 10 people where attending a birthday party. Upon entering through a patio door, they demanded money and cell phones, while putting the men in one room and the women in another. The apartment owner, Christopher Bailey,  said the gunmen started counting bullets. “The other guy asked how many (bullets) he had. He said he had enough,” said Bailey. That’s not a real good sign. UPDATE – Suspect identified as Chiew Chan Saevang, a suspected opium smuggler . Washington County Utah it is being reported police were involved in a car chase with the suspect early this morning, who was with is girlfriend, Yer Yang. Catawba County Sheriff’s Office tells NewsChannel 36 the suspect shot Yer Yang as they were being followed by Utah authorities and then turned the gun on himself as the vehicle ran off the roadway. Drugs seem to be the motive.

CATAWBA COUNTY, N.C. – I don’t normally like to report on cases like this as they will usually get enough major press anyway. But this one is local to me, the story quite tragic, and someone out there killed four people on Thursday morning and has not been caught yet. The picture above is a sketch of the person they are looking for. On Thursday morning, a friend of 18-year-old Pauline Chao arrived at her home to take her to Bunker Hill High School. She observed a man run to the back of the house as they were driving off and informed Pauline what she had seen. Pauline asked to be taken back to the home, and as her friend watched in horror, a man from inside drug Pauline through the front door and begin attacking her. The teen ran off calling 911. By time police arrived 18 minutes later, Pauline, her mother, Lisa Saephan, her sister, 20-year-old Melanie Saephan, and her brother, 3-year-old Cody Saechao were all dead of stab and gunshot wounds.

Farwell, Mich - Justin Gaskill, 27, cut the screen window of a home in the town of Farwell, slipped inside and forced an 11-year-old, who at first thought it was a prank, out of her bed at knifepoint. He then made the girl walk with him almost two miles to his home where he sexually assaulted her. He then let the girl go the next morning, warning her not to tell anyone what had happened. By time the girl made her way back home, the mother had already reported her missing and was outside talking with police. The little girl ran to her mother and told them what had happened. Based on her descriptions, Gaskill was located and arrested.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Anne Pressly, 26, is a KATV anchor woman who recently had a small part in the Oliver Stone film, “W“. She is currently in critical condition after being severely beaten. Her mother found her unresponsive in her bed at around 4 a.m., bleeding from her head, 30 minutes before she was to be on the set of “Daybreak“.

A 17-year-old girl woke up SundaySunday reviews night to see a naked man standing in her room. She immediately screamed for help. Her 64-year-old father, Robert McNally, ran to her aid and fought with the intruder while his wife called 911. When police arrived at the residence, they found McNally holding the man down in the hallway with his arm around the neck of the naked intruder. The naked man was David Meyers and he wasn’t putting up much of a fight any longer. He was dead.

NEW BRITAIN, Conn – Back in 1998, Leslie Williams, 31, was convicted of assaulting a 5-year-old girl. After being denied parole in MarchMarch reviews of 2006, he was finally released on March 4th of this year after serving 8-years in the medium-security Osborne Correctional Institution. On Monday, Williams invaded a home, shot two women meeting for coffee and abducted one of them who later turned up dead.

MERCED - What is known is that Rosa Alicia Avina, 27, was abducted, bound at the hands and feet, and had a bag placed over her head. She was then, in the early morning hours of Oct 25th, she was placed in an abandoned boat located near a burn pile. It was at this point her abductor (s) doused her with a flammable liquid and set her on fire. Hours later, Rosa walked half a mile with second- and third-degree burns over 95 percent of her body and collapsed at a farm where she was discovered by workers.
