PLANO, Texas – Padmaja S. Enjeti, 37, dropped her daughter over the second floor railing of the family’s home where she landed on the floor below. She then went and picked up her daughter, went back up the stairs and did it again. She then called 911, telling them she had dropped her baby on its head. The infant suffered a skull fracture, but is now out of the hospital she, along with her 8-year-old brother, have both been placed in foster care.  Ms. Enjeti told police that she suffers from a chemical imbalance and this was the first time she had tried to hurt her daughter. Ms. Enjeti and her husband are from India and have lived in the U.S. for 12 years and in Plano for the past decade, her attorneys say. They say the couple are professionals in the information technology industry and are devout Hindus.

Here is where things get a bit more interesting. Ms. Enjeti learned she had schizophrenia after her daughter’s birth and was having hallucinogenic episodes. Ms. Enjeti was taking the anti-psychotic drug Haldol. Sound familiar? It’s the same drug that another Plano mother, Dena Schlosser, was prescribed but had stopped taking before killing her 10-month-old daughter by cutting off her arms in NovemberNovember reviewsNovember reviews 2004. She was found not guilty by reason of insanity and hospitalized in April 2006. Ms. Enjeti has been charged with injury to a child and is being held on $1 million bail. Her attorneys are not happy with the bail amount stating that she has mental health issues that need to be addressed and can’t be addressed in jail.

Thank’s, Where’s Rob, for the info and having a heart as black as coal.
