Police Fatally Shoot Woman After She Stabbed Her Grandson To Death

Buffalo, NY — A grandmother was shot to death by police after she stabbed her young grandson to death outside her home.
A scene of unimaginable horror is what two Buffalo police officers encountered when they were flagged down and brought to the front porch of a home. There they found 22-year-old Tiffany Fears performing CPR on her 4-year-old son, Roderick Geiger III, who was bleeding to death after having been stabbed in the stomach and chest by his grandmother.
While the officers began working on the boy they were charged by the child’s 38-year-old-grandmother, Charlene Fears, who was armed with two large knives. She ignored repeated demands to drop the knives and, fearing for their safety, was subsequently shot and killed by one of the officers.
Roderick was rushed to Women and Children’s Hospital, but later died. Charlene’s two other children, who were in the home at the time of the stabbing, were not harmed. The officer who shot Charlene, a 25-year veteran, is not being named and the case is being investigated by the homicide squad and internal affairs.…

EDMOND, Oklahoma – Police have arrested a 15-year-old boy from Colorado and charged him with raping his grandmother.
The boy was visiting his 59-year-old grandmother in Edmond and had been staying with her since July 2. The woman told police that the night before she had taken medication that puts her to sleep and had woke up the next morning to her privates hurting and her panties missing. She would find the panties under her bed and it looked as if they had been cut off.
Scared to sleep in the same bed with her grandson, she says she slept on the couch that night only to wake up with her grandson thrusting against her. She said that she yelled out his name and that he ran to the bathroom saying, “I just touched you.”
Before she contacted police, her son, the boy’s uncle, picked up the teen so that he could hang out with him in Oklahoma City. While they were on the road, the victim called her son and told him what the boy had done.…

Las Cruces, NM — A 16-month-old girl was fatally attacked by a family pit bull Tuesday. Witnesses said the girl’s grandmother was accidentally shot by a neighbor trying to help the toddler. The witness accounts alleviated initial fears that a pit bull armed with a pistol and an opposable thumb was on the loose in New Mexico.
Around 11:30 a.m., Police were called by a neighbor reporting the girl’s attack and the grandmother, 52, crying for help. The 2-year-old pit bull reportedly attacked the girl in the backyard of her grandparents’ home. The grandmother was also attacked trying to help the girl.
The 69-year-old neighbor who called 911 then retrieved a .45-caliber handgun and went to help the grandmother and granddaughter. Police said the neighbor fired several shots at the dog, and one of them accidentally hit the grandmother’s leg.

New Orleans, LA – A 46-year-old man has been arrested and charged with raping his 85-year-old grandmother, who also happens to be a double amputee.
The suspect is not named because of his relationship to the victim, but he has a lengthy history of drug arrests. His father left him alone with his grandmother, and that’s when when he allegedly raped her repeatedly. She was taken to the hospital for a sexual assault exam, but the results of that exam have not been released.
Police booked the grandson on Wednesday, charging him with aggravated rape and exploitation of the infirm. He faces a life sentence for the rape charge and a maximum 10-year sentence or $10,000 fine for the exploitation charge. So far, the man has not admitted guilt, stating he did not sexually assault his grandmother.
His rap sheet dates back to the late ’80s and includes arrests for possession of marijuana and crack cocaine and possession with intent to distribute both drugs. In 1997, he was sentenced to three years of weekend stints in parish prison for crack possession.…

Houston, Texas – Police have arrested the mother and grandmother of a 14-year-old girl who they say forced the teen to work as a prostitute. Alicia Melchor, 33 and Elizabeth Buford, 55 have both been charged with with compelling prostitution of a minor. Buford was also charged with possessing heroin. The teen told police that the two women pimped her out so that they could use the money to pay for their living expenses. The two women were arrested after the teen got picked up by police while working on the street and led police to the motel where the two other women were staying. It seems that smoking pole for money is a family tradition spanning three generations. The girl’s mother and grandmother each have prostitution convictions going back 20 years. Fort Pierce, FL- On May 28, a loss prevention official at the Wal-Mart Super-center was notified about a customer eating deli food by the back dairy section. Using a closed circuit television system, the loss prevention official told police she located a woman, 29-year old Lynn M. Burghart, with a bottle of orange juice, a bag of fried chicken and a container of mac & cheese. Burghart was watched as she guzzled down the OJ, threw the container in the trash and then grabbed another bottle and began drinking it. Burghart then walked over to the women’s clothing area where she met up with her 74-year old grandmother. Burghart gave the bag of fried chicken (estimated value of $5.85) to her grandmother, who stashed it on the side of her wheelchair. Burghart then hid the orange juice in the rear of her grandmother’s wheelchair and pushed the chair toward a front door.
