Police say 64-year-old Edgard Fuentes broke into his estranged wife’s home Thursday night and poured gasoline on her as she was sleeping.
Her son, 32-year-old Eric Montes, ran to her bedroom after hearing her yell in surprise and got into a struggle with Fuentes.
Montes was also doused with gasoline in his attempts to stop Fuentes, but he was unable to prevent Fuentes from igniting the gasoline and flee the home.
The resulting fire engulfed the home, destroying it. One neighbor described what he witnessed after hearing screaming.
“When I heard some screaming, they were in the back yard. I saw the lady rolling on the floor on fire. There was another lady crying for help,” he said.
Daisy Tapia, 61, and her son were both rushed to the hospital where they remained in critical condition for hours before dying from their injuries.…
Bradley Jean Hubbard was arrested after a woman living in the home finally got tired of hearing Hubbard sexually assault the dog named “Baby Girl” and called police.
She told them that she had witnessed Hubbard take the dog into his bedroom to have sex with it, claiming it had happened at least 100 times in the last several years.
The woman claimed to have even witnessed Hubbard in the act after peeking through a hole in Hubbard’s bedroom door.
During each incident, the woman said she could hear the dog whimper and cry out in pain, but over time the dog remained silent while being assaulted.
No clue on why the woman waited so long to report the abuse, but the final straw came on Dec 28, when Hubbard allegedly grabbed the dog from her bedroom and then took her to his bedroom and shut the door.…
According to police, 65-year-old Rebecca Rawson went to the home of 83-year-old Eugene Matthews to retrieve a dog, Bart, that belonged to Rawson’s estranged husband, who died last week.
Matthews was a friend Rawson’s estranged husband, and took the dog in after his death.
When Rawson showed up to the home with her daughter and brother-in-law, she stayed in the car. When her brother-in-law knocked on the door, a woman answered the door and he called the dog’s name.
When Bart came to the door, he picked him up and took him back to the car. That’s when Matthews came out of the house and fired a handgun into the air twice before firing once at the car Rawson was sitting in.
The shot went through the windshield and hit Rawson in the face, killing her. Matthews’ family is saying he acted in self-defense, and that the Rawson family blasted through the gate and kicked down the front door, but the sheriff’s office said that account contradicts the evidence gathered from the scene.…
According to reports, Ian Sevostjanov was getting ready for school Thursday morning when his mother disciplined him for a “behavioral issue.”
After arguing with his mother, he was sent to his room where he used a gun to fatally shoot himself.
Ian was pronounced dead at the scene despite first responders doing “everything they could” to save him, said Clearwater Police Chief Dan Slaughter during a news conference Thursday morning.
Authorities were initially vague about what transpired in the apartment Ian shared with his parents and brother, but now say the boy’s death is being investigated as an apparent suicide.
Police are still investigating Ian’s death and determining how he got his hands on the family’s gun.
“We’re trying to definitely approach this taking care of all our responsibilities, while also being respectful that there’s an emotional trauma that’s occurred,” said Slaughter.
He went on to add that this should serve as a lesson to gun owners that they need to ensure firearms are not within easy reach of children.…
The assault took place during a visit to the vacation rental home of Tina Thomas after the victim agreed to accompany Thomas to the store to buy milk.
Afterwards, Thomas insisted that they needed to make another pit stop on the way back home. That pit stop ended up being in front of a port-a-potty on Woodlawn Beach Boat Ramp. It was here Thomas is accused of blackmailing the kid into having sex with her.
According to the victim, when he declined her offer. Thomas told him that if he didn’t nail her in the portable shit-house that she would, “tell everyone that he raped her.” Fearing that he had no recourse, he complied.
He stated that Thomas was intoxicated and got angry with him after he had sex with her for only a minute before walking away.
Reports state that this is not the first-time Thomas has tried to convince him to have sex with her.…
According to police, 52-year-old Brenda Guerrero was in the backyard of her home trying to put a sweater on a dog named Scarface when the dog began attacking her.
Brenda’s husband heard the attack and ran out to try pulling Scarface off his wife when the dog began attacking him.
The couple’s son, 22-year-old Antoine Harris, then joined the fray and began stabbing Scarface in the head and neck.
All three managed to get inside the house, leaving Scarface in the backyard. When Animal control and police arrived at the home, Scarface was shot with a tranquilizer dart.
“You think you kill me with darts? I take your fucking darts!” screamed Scarface before making his way into the house where two children were in a back room.
Scarface was finally subdued after police shot him with a bean bag gun, a stun gun, and a “catch pole.”
“Officers responding said the dog was pretty aggressive,” said Eddy Durkin with the Tampa Bay police.…
According to police, 59-year-old Jerome Klein was angry his mother refused to remove his siblings from her will when he slapped her across the face and injured her hand.
After beating on her a bit in her bedroom, he forced her to his nearby cottage where he forced her to sit in a chair. He told her if she moved from the chair he would kill her, himself and their dog.
So the poor woman sat in the chair for eight goddamn hours.
“She is 81 years old. He did not allow her to go to the bathroom. Denied her water and food. She has horrible bruises across her body and torso,” said Miami Beach Police Det. Juan Sanchez.
No details on how she managed to get away, but she ended up suffering large bruises on her upper torso and left arm, and discoloration on her rear arms and back.…
The teen, 16-year-old Addison Williams, was with his brother and a friend Wednesday night when they trespassed into a fenced-off area of Water and Theme Park.
The three boys climbed to the top of an 85-foot tall, snow-covered slide with intentions of sledding down it.
Two of the boys came to their senses and decided it was too dangerous, but Williams decided to go through with it.
He made it halfway down before his sled got stuck in the snow. As Williams tried freeing the sled, he fell over the side of the slide and died when he hit the ground 35-feet below.
According to Lake Delton Police Chief Daniel Hardman, the family were vacationing in the area to see snow. They were staying in a hotel near the park and were on the scene shortly after it happened.
The owner of the park said the fence and other safety measures were put in place for a reason, and there’s nothing more he could have done to prevent the boys from getting in.…
On Dec.7, a relative found the body of 25-year-old Amanda Suarez in her home suffering from a gunshot wound to the back of the head.
Detectives would find Suarez’s missing cell phone nearby on the side of the road. On the blood covered phone, police found a picture of 21-year-old Christopher Shows sleeping on her couch.
When police located and interviewed Show, who was dating Saurez’s cousin, he admitted to a couple of heinous crimes.
After Saurez allowed Shows into her home and ended up rejecting his sexual advances, Shows shot the mother of four in the back of the head with a .22 caliber rifle as she tried running out the back door.
He then admitted to dragging her body into the kitchen where he positioned her in the form of a crucifix before having sex with her body. As for a motive, well, it was just for kicks.…
Police responded to a residence on a domestic disturbance call last month to find 69-year-old Joyce Courson sitting in the hallway in a puddle of blood.
She was suffering from severe cuts and bruises to her face and more on her stomach and chest.
Courson told the officers that her grandson, Brougham, had flew into a rage because she’d taken his beer and wouldn’t tell him where she hid it.
She said he first punched several holes in the walls before shoving her to the floor. That’s when Brougham held her down and repeatedly punched her in the face, then started kicking her.
Another roommate in the house ran out of his room to investigate when he heard the woman yelling for help, but Brougham had already left the home.
Police would find the teen walking near the home and took him into custody. He told police that when he gets upset, “he blacks out in rage and does not remember what he does.”
Initially charged with aggravated battery, Brougham has now been charged with murder after Courson died from her injuries one week later.…
Police say 56-year-old Kurt Jenkins was driving slowly through a neighborhood with children, and was naked and with electrical wires protruding from his penis.
According to police reports, a witness said Jenkins drove up to him and gestured for him to look at Jenkins’ junk.
“(The witness) observed Jenkins was completely naked and saw an electronic device with wires, which was attached to Jenkins’ penis,” the police report said.
Jenkins opened the passenger door and asked him to get inside. The witness declined, but took a picture of Jenkins and called police.
Police said Jenkins would slow down his vehicle “almost to a complete stop” as children from a nearby school were dropped off in the neighborhood.
Arriving officers quickly located Jenkins, who refused police commands to get on the ground. The officers helped him out a bit and gave him a free makeover in the process.
Jenkins is now facing charges of lewd and lascivious exhibition, exposure of sexual organs, and resisting a law enforcement officer without violence.…
According to police, Monord admitted she was pissed at her sleeping boyfriend over some “infidelity issues” and decided to give him an “abrupt awakening.”
After boiling some water in a pot normally used to sterilize their son’s bottles, she tossed the water on 23-year-old Winsky Perpignan as he was in bed under the covers. He ended up suffering significant burns to his right arm, upper torso, stomach, back and face.
What Monord did not realize, for some reason, was that her boyfriend was not alone in the bed. Their son was sleeping beside him and was also doused with the boiling water. The baby ended suffering second-degree burns to his chest and left arm that could require skin grafting.
After initially denying purposefully pouring the water on her boyfriend, she finally admitted the truth.
“In the beginning of the investigation, she said it was an accident, but we found some inconsistencies in the story there and started digging a little deeper, and that’s when we were able to determine it was an intentional act and that she had done it on purpose,” Gainesville Police Department spokesman Officer Ben Tobias said.…
Police found 23-year-old Joaquin Mendez outside of a home with a gunshot wound to the chest. They were told by his cousin, 24-year-old Alexandro Garibaldi, that he found his cousin like that after hearing a gunshot.
However, witnesses told a completely different story. They said Mendez had put on a bulletproof vest and sat in a chair while wondering aloud “whether it still worked.”
The cousins found out it didn’t after Garibaldi allegedly pulled out a handgun and said “Let’s see,” before shooting Mendez in the chest. Police would find the bloody vest inside the home.
Mendez would be pronounced dead at the hospital while Garibaldi was arrested and charged with manslaughter. He was being held Sunday without bond.
Before anyone decides to post the obligatory “Floriduh” comment, these two are not the only ones we have featured on DD who found out a bullet-proof vest did not work.…
Michael Downing was found dead in the backyard of a residence next to the apartment complex where he lived. Investigators aren’t sure how Downing got into the backyard, but think he may have been pulled under a fence.
Downing, who had recently suffered a stroke, was very frail and was unable to defend himself from the four dogs — a Rottweiler, and three mixed breeds consisting of German shepherd, Rottweiler, and Chow Chow.
One witness said the dogs treated the elderly man like a rag doll, ripping off his legs and tearing flesh from his head and arms.
“By far it’s probably the worst thing I’ve ever seen in my life,” said the witness. “There was only 30 percent left of his body probably.”
Neighbors who live in the apartment complex say the dogs bother anyone who takes their trash to the dumpsters next to the fence.…
Police say it started Monday night while Harrouff was with is family at a sports bar and restaurant. Harrouff reportedly stormed out of the restaurant, aggravated over the slow service.
His parents were so worried about his behavior that they called police and some of his fraternity brothers in hopes of locating him.
About 45 minutes later, Harrouff made contact with Michelle and John Stevens, who were sitting inside their open garage as they often did at night.
For reasons currently unknown, Harrouff viciously attacked and killed the couple with a switchblade and multiple “weapons of opportunity” found inside the garage.
“Both victims sustained massive trauma on multiple portions of their body. There were lacerations, stab wounds and blunt trauma,” Martin County Sheriff William Snyder said.
A neighbor heard the screams and witnessed Harrouff on top of John in the driveway.…
Steele has been charged with aggravated manslaughter of a child after she went to a cellphone store to have her phone repaired, leaving her 6 and 3-year-old son alone inside her minivan with their 13-day-old sister.
When the baby girl started crying, her older brother killed her by beating the ever-living crap out of her. But before I get into those details, let’s discuss the events that lead up to them. Besides, I’m sure some of you have already asked yourselves why a 62-year-old woman has a newborn.
Back in 2009, Steele and her late husband, Philip, was featured on the reality show I’m Pregnant and 55 Years Old. She explained that she worked as a broker, putting in 60-80 hours a week, when she met her husband in her 40s.
The couple tried for 12 years to conceive a child via vitro fertilization, and Steele finally became pregnant in 2009 at the age of 55.…
According to reports, 35-year-old Travis Martin called police at about 1:16 a.m. Sunday to let them know that he was shot at by some young boys in an SUV.
Martin, who is homeless, said he did not want to press charges and just wanted police to know what happened. However, Martin called back to say the SUV had returned and the kids had shot at him again while yelling vulgarities.
When an officer arrived at the location, Martin flagged them down and pointed out the SUV. The officer stopped the SUV, driven by 36-year-old Amina El-Zayat, and had her and her three juvenile sons get out of the vehicle.
Inside the vehicle the officer would find two air soft rifles, both replicas of M4 assault rifles, and one of which was fully automatic that could fire 15 pellets at a time.…
The incident happened on Tuesday while 45-year-old Joseph Carrao was at the park with his mother, brother, and three teenage children visiting one of the animal viewing areas.
For reasons known only to Carrao, the idiot picked up one of the 250 flamingos at the park and set it back down without injuring it. He then picked up a second flamingo special to the park, a dancing flamingo named Pinky, that made appearances around the area as part of the park’s conservation and education efforts.
When Carrao’s mother told him to leave the birds alone, the fat fuck threw Pinky to the ground so hard that one of her feet was almost severed. The injury was so severe that veterinarians that examined Pinky had no recourse but to euthanize the bird.
Corrao was detained by the park’s security and arrested by Tampa police on a charge of felony animal cruelty.…
