Corbin, KY - A Kentucky woman was hospitalized in serious condition after an acquaintance reportedly stabbed her six times in a heated roadside dispute over a bra. Virginia L. Frye (pictured), 30, was arrested after Erica Canada – believed to be in her 20s – was brought to a hospital with stab wounds.
The melee reportedly began when Frye asked the victim to return a bra that she had left at Canada’s home.
“I called [Canada] to ask her about the bra and that’s when she said, ‘I have a problem with you,’” said Frye.
Not able to let that go by, the women met shortly after alongside a Kentucky highway. Investigators say both women had weapons – Canada armed with a lug wrench and Frye armed with a kitchen knife.
“They were screaming ‘bash her head in, kill her, kill her,’ and I had no choice but to defend myself,” said Frye. An interview with the clearly hyperactive Frye can be viewed here.
Whitley County Sheriff’s Deputy Shawn Jackson was dispatched to the scene at approximately 8:15 p.m.…

Grand County, CO — A couple appeared in court Monday afternoon to answer to charges of evidence tampering, criminal trespass and abuse of a corpse after being accused of stealing items from a murder-suicide scene last month.

According to investigators, the pair had come across the bodies of 62-year-old William Ahrold and his 9-year-old-son Jackson in Grand County on December 17. (The father and son had last been seen on December 7, and were reported missing on December 13). Authorities found Ahrold’s van over the weekend and quickly came to the conclusion that Ahrold had killed his son before taking his own life. They soon realized that there was a rather important piece of evidence missing – the weapon.…

Albuquerque, NM — A friend of David Chavez, 27, caught Chavez in his back yard last week reportedly making off with a video game system, jewelry and prescription medication.
The friend and Chavez started to scuffle with the friend getting a firm hold of Chavez’ pants. Undeterred, Chavez simply worked his way out of the pants and made his way over a fence.
Police reported locating Chavez later ‘bleeding and disoriented.’ Chavez was taken to the hospital and an x-ray showed the stolen prescription medication to be deep inside his anal cavity.
Chavez is charged with burglary and evidence-tampering.
…and I am glad to now know that police-speak for shoving something really far up your ass is “evidence tampering.”…
