Amy Locane-Bovenizer, Former Melrose Place Actress, Sentenced To Three Years For Killing Woman

SOMERVILLE, N.J. - Amy Locane-Bovenizer, a former actress on Melrose Place, has been sentenced to three years in prison after driving drunk and plowing her SUV into another car, killing a woman.
For those who don’t know who hell this lady is, she played a character on Melrose Place, one of the worst shows to come out of the ’90s aside from Home Improvement. I have no clue what she did after the show was finally cancelled, but in 2010 she made headlines after getting behind the wheel of an SUV with a blood alcohol level that was three times past the legal limit.
After rear-ending Maureen Ruckelshaus, Locane-Bovenizer refused to get out of her car and fled the scene. Ruckelshaus followed Locane-Bovenizer for four mile, watching as the 40-year-old took out a few mailboxes. When a car moved out from in front of Locane-Bovenizer, she accelerated to 50 mph and plowed into the passenger side of a car turning into a driveway.
The driver of that car, Fred Seeman, was seriously injured but survived. His wife, 60-year-old Helene Seeman, was his passenger and took the brunt of the impact.…

ALVIN, TX – Police have charged a man with murder, accusing him of shooting the drunk driver responsible for killing his two sons.
On Dec 7, 2012, David Barajas’ truck ran out of gas yards from his home. He and his two sons, 12-year-old David Barajas and 11-year-old Caleb Barajas, jumped out and began pushing the truck while Barajas’ wife and two daughters remained inside the vehicle.
At around this same time, 20-year-old Jose Banda was driving drunk down the narrow road and plowed into the rear of the pickup. Caleb and his brother would both die after becoming pinned between the two vehicles. Jose Banda also died, but not because of the crash. He died from a bullet wound to the head.
Several witnesses who were present at the scene of the accident told police that after the crash, David Barajas walked the short distance home. He returned to the scene shortly afterward and approach Jose Banda’s car. That’s when the witnesses reported hearing gunshots.
Police still have not recovered a weapon, but a handgun holster was found in Barajas’ home, along with ammunition that matched the kind that killed Banda. David Barajas was subsequently arrested for the murder of Jose Banda.…

PHILADELPHIA, MS.- Neshoba County Sheriff Tommy Waddell says Duane John, 34, has been charged with six felony counts of DUI manslaughter after a crash this weekend that killed an adult and his five children.

Aside from John, only two other people survived the crash; Deanna Jim, who is the children’s mother, and Dale Chickaway. Killed were Dasyanna John, 9; Duane John, 8; Bobby John, 7; Quinton John, 4; Kekaimeas John, 18 months; and Chickaway’s wife, Dianne Lewis Chickaway, 37.
Waddel said that all of the deceased were still inside the vehicle at the time of their recovery, and that he believes they all drowned.

SOMERVILLE, N.J. - Amy Locane-Bovenizer, a former “Melrose Place” actress, has been found guilty of vehicular homicide after her drunk ass killed a woman by ramming her SUV into the side of another vehicle.
Back in June 2010, Locane-Bovenizer had tossed back some drinks at a cast party before tossing down a few more at a barbeque. She then chose to get behind the wheel of an SUV with a blood alcohol level more than three times the legal limit and wound up rear-ending Maureen Ruckelshaus.
Ruckelshaus confronted Locane-Bovenizer, who she says was obviously drunk, and asked her to get out of her vehicle she refused to turn off. Locane-Bovenizer responded to this request by fleeing the scene and taking out a few mailboxes in the process. Ruckelshaus gave followed behind Locane-Bovenizer for four miles at speeds that topped a whopping 35 mph.
But Locane-Bovenizer saw her chance to put some distance between herself and Ruckelshaus after the car in front of her moved out of the way. That’s when Locane-Bovenizer accelerated to 50 mph and ended up plowing into the passenger side of a car turning left into a driveway.…

Illinois – Police arrested an 18-year-old drunk chick who crashed her car on Saturday because, according to police, she was upset over her boyfriend not taking her to see that crappy Twilight movie.
Olivia Ornelas, 18, was charged with drunken driving and unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor after her car was found in a ditch at 12:04 a.m. Saturday morning. The car she was trying to drive while “extremely intoxicated” was missing a front right tire.
She reportedly told deputies that she had ended up in the roadside ditch because her boyfriend had upset her when he didn’t take her to see the new Twilight movie as planned.
I gotta commend the boyfriend if he bailed on this loopy broad on purpose as sometimes the vagina just isn’t worth the hassle. Hell, Sofía Vergara could ask me to go to the new Twilight movie and my immediate response would be me telling her to go f*ck herself.
I know, I know… it’s almost cliche to hate on Twilight. But I’m dead serious.…

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif. – A California woman is facing some legal issues after police say she drunkenly flipped her vehicle with her 4-year-old inside and then tried to flee the scene without her kid.
Reports are that early Wednesday morning, the woman crashed her car into some parked cars causing her to roll her vehicle on its roof.
Neighbors say that when they heard the crash they came out and helped pull the woman’s unrestrained child out of the car as her drunk mother was running around asking where her other children where.
Neighbors then began searching underneath cars and around the general area fearing that there may be possible victims who were ejected from the vehicle, but would not find anyone.
I’m guessing it was during this time that the woman tried to leave the scene through a neighboring field without her child. Police would catch her a block away and arrest her on suspicion of drunk driving and child endangerment. Neither she nor her child suffered any life-threatening injuries.
Oh, and the ghost children the woman was looking for after the crash?…

Brackenbridge, PA – Last year, one of our forum members posted a story about Christa Logue. She’s the 39-year-old mother who crashed her minivan while driving drunk. The crash killed Joshua Gibson, her 14-year-old son, after he was thrown from the vehicle.
Logue would be charged with vehicular homicide after it turned out her blood alcohol level was twice the legal limit. Toxicology results would also show she was under the influence of methadone and Wellbutrin. While awaiting her November trial for killing her kid and free on her own recognizance, she was arrested again on July 1, accused of driving drunk yet again.
Police say she ran a stop sign, drove 45 mph in a 25 mph zone and drifted in and out of a traffic lane almost running up on a sidewalk. When police pulled her over and approached her car, they say she attempted to cover up a half-empty can of beer. She failed three sobriety tests and admitted to police she had been drinking and taking anti-depressants. She was arrested and charged with drunk driving and other driving-related offenses.…

HOUSTON, TX – James John Onak, 49 is currently in jail after police say he struck a man with his car, severing one of the victim’s legs, then drove around with the man’s body in his car after it was sent through the windshield.
Eleven minutes after hitting the 32-year-old motorist whose car had broke down on the Gulf Freeway, he was spotted by police a couple miles away driving erratically and pulled over. That’s when the officer made the gruesome discovery lying on the passenger side floorboard and informed Onak he had picked up a hitchiker.
But unlike Chante Mallard and Vincent Riojas, both of whom knew they had hit someone and then left the victim’s to die horrible deaths after crashing through their windshields, Onak reportedly had no clue he had picked up a motorist who had been walking to a nearby service station.
“He was kind of oblivious to it, actually. Once the deputy got the gentlemen out of the car it became obvious that there was, in fact, a deceased body on the passenger floorboard,” said Captain Jason Finnen with the Precinct 8 Constable’s Office.…

Clayton County, GA - Cierra Baughcum, 28, remains in jail after police say she went on a one-woman crazy driving spree with her children in the car while drunk. …really drunk.
Police said Baughcum drove her Chevrolet Camaro through the picnic area of her mobile home park, wiping out two picnic tables. They said she then drove through a chain-link fence and a ditch. At that point, she started driving the wrong way on Georgia Highway 42.
Witnesses said she quickly drove back into the mobile home park where she crashed into the park’s leasing office stairs and came to a stop.
“She couldn’t even hardly get out of the car,” park maintenance man Rusty White said.
Clayton County Police said Baughcum was ‘extremely intoxicated’ after measuring her blood alcohol content to be .392. Baughcum’s blood alcohol content was nearly 5 times the legal limit in Georgia of 0.08.
Damn. That’s a lot of girly drinks.
Baughcum’s 4- and 6-year-old kids were in the car during the ride.
“They were in the back seat of the vehicle,” Sally Huskey said.…

Corpus Christi, TX — Michael Aguirre, 18, was arrested Sunday after a fatal accident which took the life of David Garner Jr., 45. Police responding to the wreck at about 7:15 am reported that Garner’s black 2008 Mazda 5 was struck from behind by Aguirre’s white 2004 Cadillac Escalade.
Aguirre was reportedly traveling ‘at a high rate of speed’ when the crash occurred. When Aguirre’s Escalade struck Garner’s vehicle, it caused both vehicles to hit a cement barrier. Enjoying the ride with Aguirre were his 19-year-old pregnant wife and their 8-month-old daughter.
According to a police report, a witness told investigators that, after the accident, Aguirre got out of his vehicle and started hitting Garner – who is presumed to have been already dead from injuries sustained in the accident – several times with his fists. Investigators say Aguirre could be charged with abuse of a corpse. Aguirre then returned to his vehicle and attempted to leave the scene. He was prevented from leaving by other drivers.
Paramedics took Aguirre’s wife and daughter to Driscoll Children’s Hospital to be checked out for any injuries.…

June 6, 2011 at 10:45 am by Morbid
MILWAUKEE, WI — Police say a woman was driving drunk when she rolled her SUV on I-94 with eleven children inside the vehicle.
The crash happened on Saturday after the 32-year-old woman crashed into a guard rail and rolled the vehicle on to its roof. She had eleven kids inside the vehicle at the time, ranging from ages 2 to 17. You read that right. Eleven.
The woman, mother of seven of the kids, was arrested on the scene after admitting to drinking alcohol prior to the crash and failing a field sobriety test. It was reported her blood alcohol level was nearly twice the legal limit.
Unbelievably no one died in the rollover, even though the majority of the kids couldn’t have possibly been secured, although five of the kids were taken to the hospital. The six remaining kids were turned over to relatives.
In addition to the OWI charges for causing injury with a child under 16, police also want to charge the woman with felony recklessly endangering safety for turning the Dodge Durango into a clown car.…

Hamilton, VA – Late Friday night/early Saturday morning, a Loudoun County Sheriff’s Deputy was heading westbound on Route 704 when he met up with a fire truck, which was–as these vehicles are wont to do–traveling at a high rate of speed.
Uncharacteristically, the officer was forced to veer off into a ditch to avoid a collision with the weaving pumper truck. He then checked for fire calls (there weren’t any), turned his cruiser around, and pulled the truck over. Inside were five volunteer firefighters for the Loudoun County Fire-Rescue system–all of whom had been drinking.
Only the driver–27-year-old Sean Swanson–was arrested. Having failed a field sobriety test, he was taken to the Loudoun Adult Detention Center, where he was charged with DUI and Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle. Swanson ultimately was released on his own recognizance and later resigned from his position, and two of the other firefighters that were in the truck have done so as well.
I wanted to post this partly because (considering there were no collisions, no one was hurt, and this was NOT a truck that was “on duty” at the time) it appeals a bit to that hidden rebel/former adolescent in me: “HELL, YEAH, IT’S NOT GETTING USED!…

Durango, CO — Paul Andrew Kausalik, 61, was arrested earlier this month on suspicion of drunk driving. That’s not what earned him a spot here at the Dreamin’ Demon, though…he earned his 15 minutes of shame by allegedly spitting his own feces on the face of the arresting officer.
The alleged shit-spitter was pulled over on February 11, after Officer Chad Langley observed him taking a right without using his turn signal. After making contact with Kausalik, the officer detected the aroma of alcohol on his breath. Though Kausalik denied being under the influence, he reportedly blew a .142, almost three times the .05 legal driving limit in the state of Colorado. Kausalik was placed under arrest and transported to the cop shop for a formal breath test.
Upon arrival at the station, Kausalik asked to use the facilities. Officer Langley reported that he was forced to enter the shitter to wake the man twice, telling Kausalik that he couldn’t stay in the restroom all night to avoid the breath test – he needed to either take the test or choose a refusal.…

September 14, 2010 at 7:48 am by MorbidENUMCLAW, Wash. – After leaving the Yella Beak Saloon where he and some friends had just celebrated his birthday, a young man hopped on his bike and began pedaling towards a nearby house to pick up his truck. At the same time, a 24-year-old man who had been at the same bar was driving with a passenger down the same road and accidentally struck the man on his bike, killing him. When the driver got out of his vehicle and realized he had just killed the man whose birthday party he just attended, he became so distraught that he got a gun out of his truck and killed himself alongside the road. Sgt. John Urquhart stated he believed the driver was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident. No names have been released that I could find, but I’ve included some video that shows the road that it happened on and the makeshift memorial that has been put up. …

September 13, 2010 at 1:45 pm by MorbidDelaware — Nicole Hoffman, 18, was driving in excess of 90 mph with a blood alcohol limit almost twice the legal limit while texting when she lost control of her car. Her vehicle left the road and flipped, ejecting 20-year-old Shawn Zimmerman who died from head injuries. On Friday, Judge Jan R. Jurden sentenced Hoffman to nine years in prison for her trifecta of driving idiocy, more than four times the minimum mandatory and three years more than what prosecutors were even asking. The judge went on to ban her from social media websites during her four years of probation and once she is released, to speak at every public high school in the state about the dangers of drinking and driving and texting while driving. The reason for the harsh sentence stems from the fact that Hoffman’s Myspace page was littered with pictures of her drinking underage, and the fact that on the weekend before she was going to plead guilty to manslaughter, she was arrested for underage drinking and disorderly conduct and a second time for assault.…

September 9, 2010 at 1:55 pm by MorbidGASTONIA, N.C. — This happened a few days back, but I’m on a drunk mother kick so screw it. After getting her drink on with her boyfriend, 23-year-old Tia Marie Bradley left the home in her car with her 2-year-old son in the backseat. Police tried to stop her after she did some donuts in the middle of the road but she took off. Police say she was driving too fast when she lost control of her car and slammed head-on into a tree. She grabbed her kid and ran into a nearby restaurant where she begged the patrons not to call police. But police would arrive shortly after and arrest her, charging her with driving with a revoked license, hit and run, DWI and child abuse. Her license was revoked from a previous drunk driving charge — one of two she was still awaiting trial for. Police also arrested her boyfriend (and father of the kid), Stephen Stiffler, and charged him with child abuse for letting Bradley leave in a vehicle with the boy knowing that she was intoxicated.…

September 8, 2010 at 10:34 am by MorbidLAKE MARY, Fla. – One thing I look forward to when school starts, and that’s reporting on parents who try to pick their kids up while drunk. We already had one Florida mother try this earlier in the month, now we have another. Renee Godby, 43, was charged with driving under the influence after arriving at Lake Mary Elementary School to pick up her kid and accidentally hit another parent’s car. No one was hurt, but police believed she was drunk. After failing a field sobriety test, she was taken to jail and her son picked up by her father. I can imagine how that kid must have felt watching his mother fail a drunk test in front of the school and then placed in handcuffs in front of his classmates. Neighbors say they’ve seen the couple fighting in the yard but were not aware of Godby’s alcohol problem. This isn’t the first time Godby has been charged with a DUI, having been arrested in 1990 and 1993 for the same thing.…

August 30, 2010 at 8:42 am by MorbidPALM BAY, Fla. — Nothing points to you having a drinking problem like getting busted for DUI while picking your kids up from school. Andrea Vellender, 38, pulled into the bus lanes at Christa McCauliffe Elementary School at around 2:30pm Wednesday and accidentally bumped into the back of a van. When school staff came out to investigate, they knew something was wrong with her and called police instead of letting her child get in the vehicle. Police arrived and noted her eyes were glassy and bloodshot. They asked her to perform some sobriety tests that she failed with flying colors, and administered two breathalyzer tests that revealed her blood-alcohol content was .240 and .241 — three times over the legal limit. To add to her legal problems, before she was taken to jail police found half a Xanax in her purse. She admitted that she did not have a prescription for the pill and that her husband gave it to her. She is now facing charges of drunk driving and drug possession charges.…

Police say Pasour was allegedly passing several vehicles on Dallas-Cherryville Highway Sunday night when he eventually collided head-on with a vehicle carrying three teens. Laura Elizabeth Fortenberry, 17, was in the front passenger seat and was killed. The driver, 19-year-old Victoria Elizabeth Iffergan and passenger Evan Griffith, 17, were taken to the hospital. As usual, Pasour suffered only minor injuries. Witnesses described seeing him trying to hide evidence of his drinking under his seats and in the nearby woods immediately after the crash. He has been charged with second-degree murder, aggravated assault, assault with a deadly weapon, habitual DWI and aggravated felony death by motor vehicle. His father spoke to reporters stating he’d feel better about things had it been his son that died and not someone else’s daughter. I loathe habitual drunk drivers and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the public will be safe from this moron for a very, very long time.…
